  1. I agree with you on both counts. It will be difficult to upgrade our receiving corp during the season while we are trying to manage our dead money situation. No one said we are a good team. We are a team in transition. You do understand we won the game?!?!?! We are going to win ugly this season. We will be better next year for many reasons.
  2. There are many ways to look at the season so far. The point differential is the result of our three lopsided losses. Most of those points were scored before our defense got on track. Is you look at our last three games, our point differential. Is 0 in that time frame we have scored and gives up 40 points. Also, if we win the turnover battle, we have a great chance of winning. We just won a close game with a last minute scoring drive. We are 2-1 over the last three games. We are trending in the right direction . Of course our offense is struggling. We have a raw rookie qb and an o line that lost three talented players (two of them unexpectedly). The coaching staff is doing the best they can in a difficult situation. They are doing what they need to do to improve our offense. The o line is starting to develop cohesiveness, they are bringing in a veteran qb to help mentor our rookie qb, and they are simplifying the offense to help that rookie qb to succeed. For now, running the ball is what we do best. What else can they do for now. It is more fun to be a glass half full person than to just worry, even after a win, because we are winning differently than most other teams in the league.
  3. I believe many underestimate what the Bills accomplished last year. When Rex was our coach, many on this board kept asking why he and his staff didn't design a system to utilize the player talents instead of forcing them to play in a system that they were not well suited to play. That is what this coaching staff does. We have a very raw rookie qb that played two years in the Mountain West Conference. The jump from there to the NFL is monumental. They are doing the right think by not asking Allen to do too much. Taking the pressure off of Allen by depending on the ground game, and giving him a simplified passing strategy is allowing him to experience success in the early stages of his development. In time, I am hopeful that we will see Allen develop into the pocket passer you are looking for. It us going to take time a patience. If we can win 6-7 games this rebuilding year with a rookie developmental quarterback, that will be a fantastic success.
  4. The important part of all of the above options is "...we made the playoffs ".
  5. Allen's interception against the Titan was not his fault. It bounced off the receivers hands.
  6. Exactly! Why bemoan how we win? We have two more wins than I thought we would have at this point before the season started. This is a rebuilding years and we are 2-3 after the most difficult part of our season. We have 5 -6 winnable games remaining on our schedule. News flash, the Bills are NOT the worst team in the league. Go Bills!!!
  7. Wins are not graded by the quality. This is where quantity matters. We are in a full rebuilding year. We are developing a very raw talent at qb, and we are 1 game under 500 after week 5. What is there to complain about? Did anyone se two wins in the first five games on our schedule when the season began? Let's get real. The defense has performed much better in the two wins we have plus the 2nd half in San Diego than anyone thought possible. Looking at our remaining schedule, we have very winnable games against the Texans, Colts, Jets (2), Lions, and maybe even steal on from the Dolphins. That is a potential of 8 wins! Yes, we will lose a game we should win and maybe win another game we should loose, but 6 - 8 wins are a very real possibility. I for one will sit back and enjoy watching Allen progress. The offense may improve, the O line has already shown signs of improvement. We should not be judging Allen against the veteran qb's in the league or even against the more developed rookie qb's. We all knew Allen was a development draft pick. Let's just chill and see what happens.
  8. I agree 100%. The defense has a great deal of talent, the offense, not so much. Sean has done more with less than any coach we have had since the millennium. Why is the fact that so many on this site discount that we are a playoff teams from last year. Sean is a solid coach and will only get better.
  9. Yea, too bad we didn't make the playoffs with TT.... oh wait????
  10. Exactly what we need!!! Great signing. Anderson should be up to speed quickly.
  11. I would take virtually any qb that has a year of nfl experience over Peterman.
  12. I really like your optimism. After what happened last season, anything is possible.
  13. The Bills are doing better than I imagined. I figured they would be 0 - 4 at this point in the season. I was not expecting a win before mid-season. Allen is a work in progress. He will have his good days and bad. Fans needs to cut him some slack. The hand wringing and panic are laughable. Give the poor kid a season to learn the game. He is showing maturity and poise. He will make a lot of mistakes. But he is our future. Don't give up on him so soon.
  14. YES! Just cut him and bring in a receiver that can play and one that is not a cry baby.
  15. I agree with you 100%. We also need to bring in a true backup qb. I would be ok with Bradford. I would also be okay with cutting KB. He is complaining about our passing attack. He is a big part of the problem. He drops too many passes and he can't get separation.
  16. It starts with the line. With a superior line average receivers can be productive.
  17. I like your optimism. It is going to be interesting if the team can sustain the effort they put forth yesterday. I hope you are right.
  18. Hey, the Bills just had an incredible win, enjoy it. This was just a light hearted post. You are awesome too. It sounds like you prediction was really spot on. Any thoughts on Green Bay?
  19. I have expressed that same concern in previous threads. If Allen goes down for an extended period of time we are in big trouble.
  20. Wow. Great analysis. Thank you for those thoughts. I was in awe of the way the bills played today. It is going to be interesting to see if this level of intensity can be sustained going forward. I am also looking forward to see if Dabol can continue to mix up game plans for Allen to keep the league guessing. Go Bills!
  21. Love it. I'm a huge Southpark fan. May be, but Sanchez is better than Peterman. lol. That alternative is better that Peterman as well. I may give it a try.
  22. He was fairly solid when he played with the Dolphins.
  23. I did the same thing today. It must be the reason.
  24. Matt Moore would be my choice. He is not the long term solution, but he would give us an experienced back up. He would be able to help Josh develop, and would be an upgrade to Peterman. I hope you are right. I believe he needs additional time to develop. A veteran like Moore would help him as well. I am not sure if the Bills would keep 3 qbs on the active roster though.
