you think you can tell at the halfway point? speculate, sure. number one seed. every team controls their destiny. there are a few teams that look to be ahead at this point and even they could go one way or the other but thinking about it at the halfway point? whatever floats your boat.

I didn't have a problem moving on from shady but I believe Gore will be the better mentor and he hasn't had a game changer fumble yet. not trying to knock shady and fumbles happen, I believe Gore did have one near the goal line in a game but he hasn't made me miss McCoy and Singletary will gain a lot from Gore.

I'll take the words of the legend Bruce Smith over the media any day. He likes the direction they're going but he obviously states they're not there yet. I recommend listening to the video and the words of the great Bruce Smith regarding the present Bills and what they need to do to become contenders.

According to some of the TBD GM's around here banging on their keyboards feel EO was the wrong pick and are now declaring after 8 games that he is a bust? I have to wonder why they are here on a message board when they could be making a really nice living as a GM on an NFL team somewhere? 91 is not a bust imo, they will continue to work and help him develop and he should work his way back in to the line up? 8 games in to his rookie season does not determine his career in the NFL.

why would they create a story as such? competition for JA? it's a BN article so you have to pay to read it. those that do may want to share some of this writers insight on competition for JA after a season and a half? Would the Bills consider adding competition for Josh Allen through the draft?

wentz looked pretty good last week. especially on those runs he had. but were certainly not talking about wentz here. if they don't expose this kid and make him look like the player he should be, an incompetent rookie, the bills are in trouble defensively.

I haven't woke from last weeks home embarrassment. it's looking like the only real advantage they may have is some unknown rookie starting that can't read a playbook. that should play out well if they beat them then they can say they beat a 1-7 team with an incompetent rookie QB, wow, big deal.

"to dethrone the king you've got to cut his head off" "you've got to beat the new englands, you've got to beat the phildelphia eagles" "you've got to protect your house" "establish dominance" not there yet but encouraged, he says. I agree, not there yet and 5-2 looks good but they haven't established the dominance they need to beat the big boys, still on the porch so to speak. 9 games remain to continue to establish that dominance. could they reach it by dec. 22nd? it would be nice but it may take another draft and offseason to get there?

if the bills don't get the offense on track pronto, starting this week, it wont be long and they too will be eliminated. they lose sunday this place is going to get real ugly.

as a bills fan only. life outside of football has been the total opposite, couldn't of been better. the OP was asking "what type of fan are you" and if you're a bills fan and you haven't been beaten, broke down and battered then I don't know what you've been watching?

last week knocked the wind out of me as a fan with this team. as much as they did contend with the pats*, last week showed me they're not there yet. 5-2 doesn't mean much at this point other than, they're 5-2. I believe the way the offense has not been able to click on all cylinders it's going to create more losses then wins so finishing the season 8-8, 7-9 or possibly 9-7 looks inevitable at this point and no playoffs. they just can't rise to the level and beat the contenders. struggle to beat the non contenders. put it this way, if they come out and dominate and blow away a 1-7 team as they should sunday, it may change my line of thinking as far as the direction they're going. at this point though, I'm not real confident they can do that.

beaten, battered and broke down. if they don't turn it around soon I wont live to see a competitive team? basically a bills fan.
