  1. I'll chalk that up to a non-answer. I'm too lazy to look it up but my guess is it wouldn't move the needle.
  2. Serious question: how may 125 yard games between two backs have there been in the 55 games? Would it move the needle at all? Bills haven't been a one back team since Shady.
  3. The weather didn't ruin the game for me at all, the outcome did. I thought the game was compelling from beginning to end. Definitely had a high school feel where kicks and punts are an adventure. Put me in the camp that thinks that the elements are part of the game - and some teams adapt or are built better than others under different conditions. Bills game plan was too conservative IMO - they should have let Josh throw more in the first half - his arm should've been an bigger advantage than it was.
  4. The Raiders wore that motto on their sleeves and I always respected that. One of my pet peeves wrt the Pats is they wanted to have it both ways - everyone knows they cheated but they wanted to maintain a squeaky clean image. I remember when they tried to play off the guy nicknamed The Deflator as a weight loss guy. Just own it and move on
  5. Cool. Where are you getting your tickets? Looks like you can get them through the school but they only show the general section, not the seats. From what I saw this year you're 100% right about not being a contender - big disparity in talent even though I thought Taulia was pretty damn good.
  6. Yeah, my son is a freshman at Maryland - and in the band. The bonus is my nephew is a junior at Virginia Tech and the game is in our backyard so we'll have a mini-family tailgate.
  7. Pinstripe Bowl for me. Anyone else attending an upcoming bowl game?
  8. Maybe just when the RB is on a rookie contract. I favor OL over RB. Of all the positions on offense and defense I feel like RB is the easiest to fill with a competent player and with the salary cap it's hard to justify a big contract.
  9. I'll leave it at I wish there was a confused emoji.
  10. I'm legit trying to understand your thought process. You start with agreeing with @ganesh: "I don't think players care that much on what is shown on TV! They have to prove it on the field." But then you finish with the pressure being on the Bills because of what will be said on message boards and ESPN if they lose. Looks to me like you're playing both sides of the coin. What am I missing?
  11. I got a problem, can you relate I got a woman callin' love hate We made a vow we'd always be friends How could we know that promises end
  12. If Scherzer and DeGrom are healthy that's a formidable 1-2 punch reminiscent of Randy Johnson and Curt Schilling. If they aren't they'll have a lot to talk about on the DL. Lost in the sauce is the Mets also signed a legit CFer so the outfield defense gets better behind them.
  13. Big fan of BOC. Secret Treaties was my fave studio album of theirs - but their first two live albums are what hooked me. My fave song from each: The lead guitar on this one is outstanding. The lyrics in this one are outstanding (Like acid and oil in a madman's face his reason tends to fly away)
  14. Who wrote that tired sea song Set on this peaceful shore You think you've heard this one before Well the danger on the rocks is surely past Still I remain tied to the mast Could it be that I have found my home at last
  15. Fair enough.
  16. Yup, I get all that - including the part that nobody cares what I think. Maybe I shouldn't post my thoughts on a message board.
  17. I would take it more seriously if it came from a medical examiner
  18. How would you characterize yourself after posting the above?
  19. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Two covers from bands I like:
  20. Is it odd that the family's attorney made the announcement about the autopsy findings?
  21. The stars at night are big and bright (clap, clap, clap, clap) Deep in the heart of Texas.
  22. This is a sound The here and the now You've got to talk to talk to talk to talk To get it all out
  23. I recall once upon a time Living was so easy and I felt so fine But, my, my, my right before my very eyes Satan came with fire to burn me Wouldn't listen when they warned me A dagger in my back while she's calling me honey Wouldn't stand back, for neither love nor money
  24. That's a good thing - all too often you come off as having no hope. We all want a SB win. Earlier this year I had us as legit SB contenders, now I've downgraded them to a legit playoff team. I remain hopeful (but skeptical) that they have a SB run in them this year.
  25. The Steelers and Packers lost yesterday. So did we.
