  1. They just got the new lease which gives them more money and more stadium improvements. They can't threaten to move now for a few years. There will be a new owner and a new stadium by 2019. There is no incentive for people to keep spending money and buying tickets for the next few years unless they are actually good. Best thing they could do now is to clean house and start over again. It really doesn't take 3 to 5 years to rebuild anymore. They have to spend serious money on a GM and a coach and get a young QB early in the draft. Put quality people in charge and get a QB and they could be a playoff team by 2014. Fitz is a goner. No need to even speculate on that. Chan, Wanny and Nix all have to go or else we will see more of the same next year.
  2. It's always all criticism & skepticism no matter what. What exactly do they have to do? What would make all the bitchers happy?
  3. Absolutely right. Buddy needs to get kicked to the curb on Monday right alongside Chan, Stache and everyone else except the new GM Doug Whaley. Polian is 70.....2 years younger than Buddy. Who gives a crap how old someone is? Can he get the job done? That's all that should matter. Polian should be the new Team President or whatever it is above the GM.
  4. He just didn't complete the sentence. "Fitz gives us the best chance to win........among the QB's on the roster now." I disagree but what else is he going to say? Nobody wants a win against the Jets anyway.
  5. Fitzpatrick. Cutting him by 2nd day of new league year saves 4.5 cap hit and 7.5 in actual money. They keep him it's $10 mil cap hit. No brainer there. Barnett, Wilson, Scott- see ya. Merriman. Why did they bring him back? Kelsay, Lindell, Troup, Easley. Thigpen, T Jackson, F Jackson. Offseason priority for the new GM has to be QB and LB. 3 of each.
  6. Colts 2-14 to playoffs. Bengals back-to-back playoffs. Seahawks 4 straight losing seasons to playoffs. Redskins 3 straight losing seasons to playoffs. Vikings 3-13 to 9-6 and possible playoffs. What have they all done????? DRAFTED A FREAKING QB early in the draft in the last two years!!!! Miami & Cleveland have to be more optimistic now that they have QB's. Buddy's philosophy and drafting have been an abject failure. Refusal to draft a QB and to give Shitz a contract extension are more than enough and should get him fired.
  7. Go tailgate. Don't go into the game until well after it starts and then everyone go home at halftime.
  8. Actually Tannehill went 8th. Bills drafted 10th but op is correct otherwise, Bills could have drafted any of those guys. That's the main reason Buddy has to go along with Chan. Drafting a QB early used to be a bad idea. Look at all the up and coming teams that are either in the playoffs this year or contending for a playoff spot with a rookie or a 2nd year QB. Buddy missed the boat. His draft philosophy is antiquated. Their record proves it. Plus the Torelle Troup over Rob Gronkowski fiasco. Marcus Easley over Aaron Hernandez same year. Hindsight is 20/20 and you can always look back and say what if???? I believe they would be in the playoffs if they would have drafted a QB early in the last three years, Aaron Williams over Andy Dalton is the one that kills me. TJ Graham over Russell Wilson is a close second. Imagine Dalton, Spiller, Johnson, Gronkowski, Hernandez instead of Fitzpatrick, Spiller/Jackson hybrid (another mistake- CJ should have 150 more carries, he would be close to 2,000 yards), Johnson, Campbell. The what if's get bums fired.
  9. 1. Bryan Cox 2. Bob Kuchenberg 3. Dan Marino 4. Louis Oliver 5. Don Strock
  10. Just 5 things? We need more than that. 1. Clean house. Everyone in the front office and coaching staff except Whaley is gone. 2. Actually, really, this time, finally spend some $$$$ on a legit head coach. Not some bottom of the pile nobody else wants him scrub senior citizen. 3. I think Gruden would be a perfect fit for Buffalo. $20 mil year? Done. Build me a winner. He can pick his own staff. Money is no object. 4. Try and trade Fitzpatrick, if nobody wants him, cut him.. 5. Cut or do not resign Merriman, Barnett, McGee, Kelsay, Scott, Wilson, Smith and whomever else the new staff thinks should go away. 6. They can get a ton for Spiller, trade him. Spiller is worth a #1, #2 and another pick or player. This would allow for #7. 7. Trade for Kirk Cousins. First? Done. 8. They gave Urbik an extension. Get Byrd & Levitre signed. 9. Free Agency: LB, S, WR, RB. Backup veteran QB not named Fitzpatrick and not from an Ivy League school and make sure he knows he's never starting unless there are injuries. 10. Draft: LB (2), TE, S, WR, RB, CB, QB. LB should be the #1 priority, I'd also like to see them get TE Eifert from ND. 11. Build your offense and defense around your talent. Don't try and have your talent run the offense and defense that you want. Bills should have run the ball 40 times a game not throw it 40 times a game, Their defensive schemes were a giant joke. 12. Either pray or sell your soul for a winning team.
  11. The incredibly idiotic move the Bills will make in the offseason is they will not do anything. Nix, Gailey and Fitzpatrick will all be back. What they should do after firing everyone in sight is trade a first for Cousins, trade Spiller for a 1st and a 2nd (at least). Whomever is drafting, think "what would Buddy do here?" and do the complete opposite. Nope. They will all be back. Probably resign Merriman too, Then, when they are 2-6 next year, they will finally fire Chant and get the cheapest scrub coach available, he will go 3-5 and get a 3 year deal and Fitz will get an extension too. It's an all too real nightmare.
  12. Nope. Need a coherent owner to fire people. Why bother with 2 games left? Lose 2 and we draft higher. BTW, only the 2nd time since 1970 that a team has given up 45+ points in a game in one season four times.
  13. Yep, worst AFC ever and the Bills are 5-8. How the heck can anyone say they are better than last year or better than their record or better on paper? AFC is weak and they have a losing record. Clean house and start over again.
  14. Fitz was better than Bradford? Ohhhhhhhh realllllllly? Bills had 12 points and lost. So sick and and tired of you Fitz apologists. He sucks. He always has sucked. He always will suck. He should not be a starter in the NFL. Watch Brady play and tell me Fitz should even be allowed in the same freakin league.
  15. Only way the Bills make the playoffs is if we all get into a time machine and go back to 1999. Note to self: Get in touch with Tonya Harding. RE: Wychek's knee.
  16. Don't win games on paper. Can't win a game against even mediocre teams. Rams are a dome team. It was 34 and raining. How do they lose??? Give up an 84 yard drive with less than 5 minutes left at home in bad weather. That's unacceptable. I won't even ,get into the continually bad coaching decisions. It's a broken record. Same crap, different day.
  17. How about this? When's the last time the Bills beat a good team in a meaningful game? Or how about the last time the Bills beat a good team on the road? Or....when's the last time the Bills won a playoff game? It's been a loooooooooong frickin time.
  18. 22 years of December/January and Playoff attendance. Some years it was difficult, some it wasn't. Some years the weather was really bad- cold more than snow. Some years they played on Christmas Eve. 19. What the heck are we supposed to do? Losers mentality. Fine, I'm a loser for being a Bills fan. I didn't know any better because I was born into it. I was a loser and was called worse in the mid 80's when I was a Bills fan and went to every game and got picked on in school for being a Bills fan when all the cool kids liked the Raiders and the Cowboys and some dbag liked the Dolphins and Dan Marino. He never got picked on. Then we got Jim Kelly and had a young Bruce Smith, Andre Reed and Darryl Talley, then we traded for Biscuit and drafted Thurman and damn we were good and I still went to every game and everyone else was suddenly back on the bandwagon and a Bills fan again but I knew better. I sat there as a kid when they were 2-14 and there were 20,000 people there. I enjoyed every single second of those glory years, I earned it. I got older, the glory days were over and have been for 13 years now.Still a Bills fan, always will be. I don't know anything else, I couldn't imagine being a fan of any other team. I don't want to. My choice, I earned it. If that makes me a loser, so be it. When, not if, they get back to being a winning team and make the playoffs some year, I'll enjoy every single second of it and I'll still know better because win or lose, I'm a loser Bills fan.
  20. Not unprecedented. There have been years where it was way worse. 1977- 3 games had attendance in the 20,000's. 1985- 0 sellouts. Opener had 67,000 and 4 of the last 5 home games had less than 30,000. Houston game had 21,000 and even the Miami game only had 50,000. Last year, the finale against Denver, the attendance was 45,112 but it was a Saturday and it was Christmas Eve. 2010 finale vs NE, attendance was 68,281 and 2009 finale vs the Colts had over 69,000. By the way, that Bears game was in October 1979, there were 73,000+ people there and the final was 7-0.
  21. Ed was a Dolphins fan as a kid. That whole"Superfan" thing was a fraud. I always wondered how he could afford the seats he had. PSL is $15,000 for 5 years plus $130 a game. Imagine paying that to watch the last 5 years of Bills football.
  22. Last time they won a playoff game....23. Last time they were in the playoffs...MCM...27.
  23. They will go 7-9 and draft around 15th....and take a RB or a DB. They just can't ever do anything right.
  24. Top 20 would be an improvement and I mean top 20 in winning PCT. I just read the column. Sullivan was right on. Shitz is mediocre at best and he has reached his ceiling. Sure, defense is lousy too but you know what? So is New England's.D.
