  1. Another of his brilliant moves... getting rid of Rusty Jones. Looking at how we fade every game, I think it is mostly lack of heart and poor coaching, but poor conditioning can't help.
  2. Sorry to challenge your intellect, I thought the comment about "salt on the wound" would help define that I felt that this was just another poor call by the coaching staff.
  3. As I watched the 1st half, I kept thinking (about the Dolphins) that they are absolutely the worst team in football. The penalties, the dropped passes, etc. Well guess who they just beat? I'm glad we played the Texans the first game...
  4. I agree... they only have a handful of plays they run with him in there and they rarely find success using him.
  5. I am probably wrong, but I thought we waited a few series to start blitzing him. I thought that if we would have sent people early, we could have put the game away.
  6. we took a game plan that was devastating a veteran quarterback and then totally changed our philosophy to be non-aggressive against an unexperienced QB? We made the guy look like a Pro bowler. These coaches are unbelievable...
  7. Best return man in the league... we've got one last chance... let's fake a reverse and take away half the field from McGee. Another little league play call. I would bet anything that "Mr. Overthink Everything" (MM) made that final call.
  8. So much' for "unbiased" reporting...
  9. Fletcher not only has problems shedding blocks but is also lacking in pass covering skills. Similar to Milloy, whenever the opposition needs to find an open receiver, they can look at the "coverage" either of these players provide. I like Fletchers hustle and enthusiasm but feel he is lacking in those areas.
  10. One was a good defensive coordinator who had no business being a Head Coach, the other was an average offensive coordinator who has no business being a Head Coach.
  11. I am not a TD supporter and wish we would give him his walking papers. It is interesting, however, that in reading the Detroit newspapers today that they are clamoring for Mariucci's head with hardly a mention about Millen. I think that Millen is the worst GM in football... but I am amazed that most of the negativity towards Bill's management regards TD while the Lion's fans and press are after the coach. I know that Mariucci has had at least one more year than Mularkey and the Lions look like a poorly organized football team. But, we occassionaly see Mularkey's team quit on him and some questionable moves. I have to wonder if the clamoring for TD'd head is simply due to his being a much more visible and arrogant figure than Millen. By the way, the earlier quote on another post calling Millen the NFL's Fred Flintstone was wonderful!
  12. It was nice to see a post with some solid facts. Thanks for nothing, TD.
  13. Sounds like TD conducted a real thorough analysis before drafting....
  14. And I believe the Lions just gave him a contract extension sometime in the past year...
  15. 1. How bad of a job has Ol'Whitey done? His performance barely exceeeds Matt Millens. 2. I was one of our fans foolishly disappointed that the Lions picked Joey Harrington before we had an opportunity. At least Millen made that mistake before we could have.
  16. In the past Ralph has come forward and made comments following poor performances. Has anyone seen any quotes from him relating to the latest fiasco?
  17. Somthing I doubt we'll ever improve on under TD and his need for a submissive HC
  18. What's worse is a moronic game plan or fixation by the coaches and QB to try to use him as a primary weapon...
  19. A General Manager making mistakes is one thing... they all do. I think that TD is an egomaniac, however. Not only the McKinnie situation, but his comments about Drew having success this year... "Wait until they see him the second time around"... I am disappointed by the lack of class he has displayed in both instances. He could not co-exist with Cowher and wants puppets for coaches. I can live with his mistakes (he has his share of "wins", also) but I have no respect for him. He would have a better future as a politician than as a "football man".
  20. I would love to see Peters leading a sweep!
  21. Different way to look at our fans and our stadiums... when I used to go to War Memorial it was a fairly unsafe urban area with wonderful fans on the inside of the stadium It was primarily a family atmosphere. Now the stadium is in a "safe" suburban setting and many of the fans are drunk, obscene and obnoxious. Although there are several "family friendly" sections, it is interesting how the locations and fans have changed.
  22. I think Glenn Parker was the last lineman we had that was an efficient "puller".
  23. Before the last play in the Chiefs/Raiders game he kept mentioniong that the only play to run was a "quick pass". He must have mentioned it 5 times. Lo and behold, the Chiefs run it in for a win. Good ol Randi... always right on top of things.
  24. Buffalo fans do a pretty good job of supporting losing teams and are far from "fair weather fans", but the apathy now displayed regarding Bill's discussions is well earned. What is there exciting or even interesting to talk about regarding this football team? We have a "Spin master" running the team and the fan base is tiring of his crap. I have been a fan for 40 years and suffered through Harvey Johnson, et al. There was still interest displayed by fans in discussing the Bills... even then. But the present Bills President is a political animal that has put together a team with little heart. I still frequent this board due to being a Bills fan and because there are several posters who I respect. I don't post a lot but enjoy reading the various comments. I think the interest in Bills discussions will pick up when we have a new, less political football man running this organization... and of course, when we show more heart and start winning again. It is one thing to lose but our team loses with no heart... that will turn off fans more than anything else.
  25. GREAT POINT!!! When a loss is a "step forward" it tells you all you need to know about a team and its' coaching staff.
