  1. Regarding the "staying in the lineup on passing downs", he should have come out on passing downs. I agree with the accolades he gets for leadership and tackling, but he was consistently picked on and beat in pass coverage (at least during his tenure here).
  2. Nantz even gushed about the singing of the National Anthem. Why can't they pick singers that will just sing it the way it was intended? There are certainly worse announcers than Nantz but I get a little tired of him.
  3. I understand what you are saying but Kosar sure helped lay the groundwork. Belichick got zero support and a bunch of headaches from Kosar. Maybe he was fired by the BALTIMORE RAVENS but the die was cast in Cleveland.
  4. The press AND Kosar ran him out of town.
  5. 52 years old and a life-long Bill's fan. I moved out of the Buffalo area in 1979 but my family has had season tickets since the 60's. I attend games when possible and never miss a game on Direct TV. I will always be a Buffalo sports fan and regardless what happens I start each year with renewed hope. I have NEVER been a Ralph Wilson fan and feel the Super Bowl years were a case of all the stars being aligned. He has always been a cheap owner that hires cheap coaches. Two Harvey Johnson regimes, Hank Bullough, Kay Stevenson, etc. Ralph Wison for the Hall of Fame... what a joke! I think you have proposed an interesting question to the group, I have figured the older fans would always be loyal and although frustrated, have become somewhat hardened to mediocracy. Buffalo fans are a hardy group yet I understand some fans getting frustrated and "cutting ties" with the team. I just can't do that; I love the city of Buffalo and will always support their sports teams. An interesting point... during the Super Bowl years I would expect we picked up a decent percentage of our fan base. Just my two cents, but I would imagine that is the group that is more often than not willing to "cut bait". I am not saying one group of fans is better or more loyal than any other... just my best guess.
  6. Actually... this is the Ralph Wison that always existed. The Super Bowl years were an exception. Through the prior three decades to the 90's we saw the same Ralph Wison we have seen the past 10 years or so.
  7. When Losman fumbled, I did not throw anything, I did not swear, I just started laughing hysterically. My God, after 40 years of being a Bill's fan... I am not surprised by anything. I will always support them but the madness never ends!
  8. Lynch did not have his head in the game and yet our outstanding coaching staff just decided NOT to use Freddy. Makes perfect sense??????
  9. Unless I am mistaken, we were lamenting our lack of a pass rush while he was healthy...
  10. I couldn't agree more. I don't attribute Miami's improvement to just Parcells; their coach is always fired up, yelling and motivating his players, also. Jauron's style just doesn't seem motivational.
  11. I did not see it, but if it followed a fair catch, I believe the team making the fair catch has the option of free kick. I do not know if this is available all game or just under two minutes.
  12. Does anyone else think that these comments contributed to the running plays where he just kept lowering his head (showing real courage and a little lack of sanity) on his running plays? I know all of the comments regarding Monday pertained to the passing game but I think he really wanted to prove his leadership and courage today. Good for him, I admire his efforts but hope he tones down the running just a little bit. I think his effort set a tone that his teamates have to admire.
  13. The NFL generally does not compete with a Sunday evening World Series game.
  14. we whine about a "lack of national respect", please remember this game. An awful exhibition from the team and the coaching staff.
  15. Nice "effort" on kick returns, also...
  16. Did anyone see if Edwards ever came back out onto the sideline or hear any other reports than the television report of his having a concussion? Thanks
  17. I met Harry Jacobs during his playing days. He wasn't that big but played with a lot of heart. He talked about working a job during the off season and did a lot of work with church groups. Very nice guy. Met Joe D. last month. He was very funny and still looks in great shape. He talked about wanting to kick Gene Upshaw's ass. Intense guy but was very friendly.
  18. With all the field goals we kept kicking due to not being able to get into the end zone, I couldn't help but to think of a few alley-oops to Hardy.
  19. I wasn't even thinking about a 4th round tight end; more like some offensive or defensive line depth.
  20. If this is the "best player available" philosophy, they are taking this idea way too far. There are definately more glaring needs on this football team than cornerback (especially after our first pick). Stupid...
  21. We administer this test for applicants that we are considering offering positions to. The 50 question test has a 12 minute time limit and that really impacts the results. The highest score I have seen in all the years of people taking the test (administered to people from clerical to executive positions) was a 48. Believe me, that time limit is a huge factor.
  22. Strongest arm that I have ever seen... bar none!
  23. Could Jerry possibly open up the checkbook and go after Chalie Weiss?
  24. Lee Evans would also be a fine representative...
  25. Think of how bad he would be without Plaxico. I can't count the amount of times he has just thrown the ball up for grabs and Plaxico has bailed him out. He has the Joey Harrington shakes... he is terrified any time there is a good pash rush. Be careful what you wish for... you wanted New York, now deal with it.
