  1. They had a baked in excuse with their travel issues last night on the back end of a back-to-back. That's all these children need and they've shown that repeatedly.
  2. It depends. They eliminated a lot of SRO stadiums, in England particularly, during the serious hooliganism problems and then again after Hillsborough. It's mandatory to have all-seaters in the top 2 divisions of English football since 1994 and I think UEFA requires them too. They have different ways of doing standing areas now which seems to be safer than the old way which, if it bears out, would be good because I agree that standing can be more fun.
  3. Or, he could be Andrew Luck and decide he's burned out and retire. It's March. Cut the dude a break. He's allowed to live life a little.
  4. Daquan Id like to have. AJ I'm hoping someone seriously over pays. Floyd is whatever at this point. Faded badly down the stretch. If the others want vet min, no guarantee deals they can have them but I'm hoping they get beaten out by low round picks or other shrewd signees.
  5. If it's on Twitter is it really behind your back though 🤔
  6. No. F him and the horse in on which he rode. He couldn't get out of here fast enough. He can go steal money from someone else.
  7. He's fine. This move probably needed to happen 2 off seasons ago if we're being honest. I'm not going to wax poetic about the defensive backs from a team that got passed to death in the playoffs how many years in a row now?
  8. Not sad to see him go in the least. Career high 15 goals AND it gets him out of what has to be an absolute garbage locker room based on the ridiculous season they've had? Sold. Wherever will all the boys go to game now? So sad. Skinner next no matter the price to move him and frankly I'd like Tuch gone too. His home/away splits are abysmal. Away being the better of the two which is bizarre and points to a problematic situation of some nature that magically doesn't follow him onto the team charter. Move Okposo and E. Johnson out of respect, but that's not going to yield anything noteworthy. I think one of the young D is going too but I'm not sure which one. Too much youth and too much left handedness with Bryam in the fold. Again, that might be a summer move.
  9. I know right? I spend 1 day waiting in a hospital and I come out to this.
  10. Replacement is already on the team and is cheaper. If you are going to make 3m as a kick coverage only player, in a world that doesn't really do KO returns anymore, you'd better be flipping amazing at it because there are a ton of guys coming out of school every year who would be thrilled to have that job for rookie minimum.
  11. Yup, if he had to go out into the market on last year's tape he'd be looking at a small one year prove it deal at best and he and his representation knew it. This way he makes more money, saves some face, and gets to spin it as being team friendly I doubt they are all "likely to be reached". More like, "possible to be reached if the player isn't washed or broken".
  12. Not even remotely close. Hell, half of this board has been trying to release Mitch Morse for nigh on 3 years. Poyer could have been gone last year and Tre, God Bless him is going to have a heckuva time playing football again let alone being worth his contract. The 2000 releases were all of healthy players who all had MUCH larger roles on teams that accomplished MUCH more than this group. As much as this is better than the drought, the current team has accomplished virtually nothing of note and seems to have plateaued. Before you yell at me about "nothing of note" tell me, without looking, who lost in the division round games played from 1990 to 1994. Not just the ones we played in. All of them. You can't. Nobody cares.
  13. He was probably Dorsey's emotional support animal. No Dorsey, no need for Shula.
  14. MLB? Phillies because I've lived here longer than NY at this point and I can't stand the Yankees and Blue Jays. Only championship a team that I watch and semi care about has won, so thanks for that adopted home. I was a Mets fan when I was a kid, but then I learned they were all on coke so that kind of wrecked the innocence of it for me. Piss on the Mets, so that lines up with being a Phillies fan as well. The NBA is dead to me. I liked the Patrick Ewing/John Starks/Charles Oakley era Knicks but I haven't paid any attention to the NBA in almost 20 years now.
  15. The offense puts up 7 in OT then it doesn't matter does it.
  16. And he'd have signed back with KC for free and still caught that pass.
  17. Not all jackasses are criminals. I'm a jackass with a clean record.
  18. The choir boys don't always win. In fact they usually don't.
  19. He's got multiple rings and the team that won went and got him back.
  20. What I don't understand is why we are willing to accept that certain dogs have certain behaviors because of breeding, such as an instinct to herd, but we won't also recognize that other dogs have been bred to kill things. The point of every terrier is to hunt and kill something, it just is. Most of them are small so the damage they can do is limited and most of them are no longer selected for that instinct so it is lessened over time, just like any other dog breed group. A herding dog you get from a breeder selling pets isn't going to be as good at herding as a herding dog who has continued to be selectively bred and used to actually herd but the instinct is still there. If you buy a large dog who has been selectively bred over a long period of time to actively attack and kill things that instinct is there, just like with a random collie and herding. I don't get this willful disconnect between what is normal and expected behavior from one breed to another. Why can we just ignore the purpose of the dog? It's why it exists. I'm glad you have dogs that are well trained and listen, and I agree that any dog can bite and cause injury, and I also agree that in many cases poor dog behavior is caused by poor ownership. The person across the street is a very nice person, the dog is treated well, it doesn't have any of the built in excuses we've made for it. The dog is an actual, not theoretical, killer. It attacked and killed another dog who didn't do a thing other than walk past its house. It leapt out a second story window to do that. If you have a large dog from a breed that was specifically bred by man to hunt and kill other large animals and continually selected due to its aggression and propensity for violence I'm not coming to your house nor can your dog come to mine. I've asked my neighbor not to walk his dog in front of my property and he doesn't. That seems reasonable to me. I also don't walk past his house on that side of the street and my children have been advised to avoid that house in general and to never ever run past it or ring the doorbell. Almost every other house on the block has at least one dog, that's the only house with that rule.
  21. The power of college football. It says ALL sports, all sports the MAC offers. Not hockey. They will stay in Hockey East.
