  1. 1. You said to pick 3 better corners than Benford. 2. Playing in the Pro Bowl doesn't mean REMOTELY the same thing as it used to given that none of the SB players can play in it and tons of guys opt out. So yeah, sure I guess he has a chance to play in the game given the current way they dole that out. By that definition, Tyrod Taylor and Tyler Huntley are Pro Bowl quarterbacks.
  2. Again, my argument is that Benford is an average corner. Given that most teams have two that slots him anywhere from 15 to 45. You've got him top 3.
  3. Is Sports Illustrated even an actual publication anymore or is it basically a badge that almost anyone car write under, sort of like Forbes. IIRC, they're one of the content generators that has been frequently accused of having AI write stuff.
  4. Here's my case. San Francisco would laugh and hang up if we called to make that trade. Let's understand the arguments here. Yours is that Benford is a top 3 corner in the league. Mine is that he's an average corner.
  5. Off the top of my head McDuffie, Gardner, Jaire Alexander, Charvarius Ward, Patrick Surtain, Jaylon Johnson A better way to do that is to go around the league and ask who would trade their top CB for Benford straight up. Who would do it immediately? Who would consider it? Who would laugh and hang up the phone?
  6. That's not how that works. It's from where the ball is kicked. In this case it was the Bills 49.
  7. You and I differ on what elite is then. Is he our best corner? Absolutely.
  8. Hyde wasn't a cast off at all. Poyer was. White being a Pro Bowl player as a first round choice is sort of my point though.
  9. Mittelstadt has some decent points so far, but he's still -8.
  10. Except when they review them anyway.
  11. I think the question is was it the right call for Miami to take 1 instead of going for 2 after they scored. If they go for 2 and miss they still have timeouts to get the ball back. If they go for 2 and make it the Bills play calling is different that whole drive knowing they NEED 3. Additionally, Bass' brain is in an ENTIRELY different place if they need that kick to not lose rather than to win. With it being a tie game Bass had the freedom to miss. He could go out and just kick because nobody legitimately would hold missing a 61 yarder against him. Now if he NEEDS that 61 yarder to win the game? Definitely could have gone differently.
  12. Yes, but also no. He gets a lot of production from low rated players which certainly has value but when we play teams with a lot of speed we tend to struggle. Christian Benford, for example, is a nice value guy but he's not going to be a Pro Bowl level corner at any point. You draft Elam to be that guy and it's disappointing that it hasn't worked out. Dane Jackson was similar as was Levi Wallace. Great value, but very average NFL corners at the end of the day. Damar Hamlin is a very average safety and it remains to be seen what his higher pedigree teammate (Bishop) becomes because right now it's not a lot.
  13. Yeah, but McD does love him some slow, no draft pedigree, DBs.
  14. Football fields are generally oriented in a general North/South configuration because of the sun. They couldn't do that with the current stadium because of the graveyard on the property that the family wouldn't allow to be moved. This is partially why Bills games look different on TV than any other stadium. The sun angle is different from what is typical. Go ahead, Google Map it around. Google Maps defaults to the top of the screen being North using the Mercator Projection. Coincidentally, one of the only stadiums to have a similar configuration to Highmark Stadium is Hard Rock Stadium. The new stadium is a little more Northwest to Southeast than strictly North/South and looking at a map that would seem to be at a roughly 90 degree angle to prevailing wind. SO the answer to your question is a little bit of wins and sun both.
  15. Sure did, that's 2 in two games. then attack the ball. Make a play on the ball. He didn't do that. Maybe he didn't do that because he's a step slow now and couldn't, but he didn't play the ball, he just blew a guy up. In 1985 that's a great play. It's not 1985.
  16. Yeah, but at some point she needs to learn that when your husband does an incredibly stupid thing that costs his team the game AND probably hurt another person maybe it's better just to put the twitter box down for the day.
  17. Do we know what Parry said? Maybe he said something like "It's a coin flip" The sound of 65,000 buttholes puckering simultaneously.
  18. It works when the offense carries its weight and the FG kicker does his job. Defense isn't going to win a ton of games by itself against good offenses. It's also extremely stressful to watch.
  19. Exactly. If you're looking to add someone to address this you're not looking for a LB or a DL. You're looking for a big nickel that can cover AND play in the box. There aren't a lot of those guys.
  20. Miami did, except when you make Miami do that they limit their own output. They really seem to thrive on chunk plays and when you can slow them down they just never get that juice that they get when you allow them to get huge plays. To their credit they didn't get frustrated today and kind of stuck to the plan, but the reason Bass' kick ended the game was because it took Miami so long to tie the game. The last drive took them almost 5 minutes which was too much time, yet also not enough. Miami's scoring drives today. 9 plays, 14 plays, 9 plays, 11 plays, 9 plays. If the Bills play them 10 times and force them to do that, they'll beat them at least 9. Weirdly, that seemed to be Miami's defensive game plan also. Make Allen take the short throws all day, be methodical and wait for him to make mistakes or get impatient.
  21. Kickers are like golfers. Maybe that gets him out of his negative headspace and he can go back to just ripping it.
  22. because they require the one thing they dont have. Rest time.
  23. And yet we've seen it go to review, with a flag picked up.
