  1. did this affect a game? Ill stand corrected if its happening and affecting things. I'm harping on it cause it felt like distraction for why we shouldnt put tech in. I see no reason why the location of the ball at any given time couldnt be known. His counter was the pats will just hack it.
  2. Youre right you didnt agree to the first point. but does that mean you do think there is more proof that the patriots hack headsets than this fg was good. You did say if tech was put in the pats could hack. so you now agree that its easier to bribe an official than to hack? youre right im reading between the lines, but only cause you arent giving direct answers. youre just insinuating things like the pats hack head sets.
  3. So you agree there is more evidence that kick was good then there is for head set hacking? Also you think its easier to hack a system and cover it up than to just bribe some officials..... Put some tech in. will it be perfect? no. will it make things better? yes.
  4. HAHAHA that is not proof of hacking. Thats stuff. I can make conspiracies up to. Bills had the Panthers Draft Board in 2018. I know because there is "proof" that we moved in front of them several times and took players they wanted. The evidence the field goal is good is much stronger than evidence the Patriots are hacking head sets. Sheesh.
  5. Was gonna reply above, but this is just as good. You said I dont know if the kick is good or not but then casually throw this out there. At least with the kick I have some pretty strong evidence. You have literally nothing to support them hacking the technology. More than happy to not discuss conspiracies.
  6. At the end of the day it was still a judgement call. Ball position relative to time is not a judgement call. I think the onus is on you to show that hacking has happened. Fine I don't know that Bass's kick was good. This same tech could easily be applied to spotting the ball which we all agree is a problem. There is no reason to not know where the ball is exactly at any specific time.
  7. The catch rule was not introducing more technology. You bring up a great point about technology failing, but you could review or be left with the current crappy system. I think trying to hack the technology would be super tough and also leave trail so I dont think they would be as successful as you think. They got the call on the field wrong and they could get it right. They should do better.
  8. So this is what moves him from B+ to an A- for me. If he can keep flashing in the mental aspect of the position he’s gonna be super special. And that was an untouched TD from 18 out so we got into the perfect play.
  9. Haha at the 6’5” 250 lb strong safety.
  10. I think 4 TO is unlikely. That was one ironed out in the first half of the season. That game is very different if we don’t give them the rock 4 time. But yeah the missed FGs was why we could withstand that many TOS.
  11. We don’t seem to be talking about Zimmer at all but he’s probably playing more reps than Cam. I think this has to mean that Harry’s leg is feeling good. Do we think Jefferson will play the 1 tech to let Oliver pretty exclusively play the 3 tech?
  12. The reason I don’t think it’s ok to dog them when they almost beat us is because we had so few reps together when we played them last year. I don’t know that they were much better than us in terms of continuity at that point but I do know we are much better there. So yeah they almost beat us back then but we have progressed so much since then and they have sorta spin their wheels or gone backwards.
  13. Yes my quick search showed that was the only place it was being discussed. Figured a separate thread made sense. McD would disagree with this unless you think he’s blowing smoke to the media (definitely a possibility)
  14. I think you’re probably right but I like the idea of just an extra layer of subterfuge.
  15. @Warcodered Yes but words that start with L and R to determine the protection slide is sorta what I mean. It seems easier for a defense to pick up on that this year cause they can pick up better (they don’t have on field mics pointes at QBs accessible to them right?). Do they do a sub signal like righties and lefties for the slide??? That would actually be sick. EDIT: a L/R MLB pitcher call would be pretty cool cause there are so many of them and I don’t think defenses outside of the division have any chance of picking up on it. Divisional games is also probably where this matters the most.
  16. I agree. I actually think this means our true backup C (guy that would start if given a full week) is actually on the PS which means we need something better til mongo returns.
  17. Agreed. I think there are more than enough smart coaches/QBs that will counter. How do you think they do it?
  18. Even away defenses are probably gonna find the games quieter than normal. Any thoughts on if defenses take advantage of this and/or if offenses will have to adjust? I thought I saw some more hand signals from Watson, is that one way? Do they switch the calls half way through? do they pump enough noise into the stadium that I’m crazy? the idea of quiet games is still super weird me on the eve of the eve.
  19. Agree this SOP for NFL. I remember a Rex article and they were talking about his Jets and Ravens binders. Honestly Lynn might have picked the habit up from him.
  20. Imo cut TE and WR. That plan was tripped up by the injury to Kroft.
  21. Not saying he can’t make the team but far from a lock imo. Literal definition of fighting for a spot versus duke and McKenzie.
  22. Tip makes a ton of sense. agree on hodgins
  23. Yeah Fromm hasnt inspired much. I had to argue he wasnt a lock. AND I did argue the same for Hodgins for many the same reasons. I don't understand why hes guaranteed to be scooped up now if he is cut considering he was a late 6th round draft choice. The calculus doesnt seem to have changed much to me.
  24. Love the hang time on this ball. Arc is so much better than the one on the opposite of the field. On other posts who is QB #10 that threw the duck that was picked off. also I just don’t see Hodgins as a “lock”. He’s been in red contact Jersey a lot and I haven’t heard as many reports of him running with the 1s lately. Duke meanwhile I think have heard running with the 1s
  25. Idea is their top 3 CBS are all good to very good. That leaves a safety or CB4 on Davis or Beasley. Re: needing good o Line to execute they don’t have the disrupter up front to stop a play and their LB core left for FA or opted out. I worry if we are in a 12 or 11 personnel they can play man and just stack the box so yeah spread them out but still get a favorable receiving match up.
