  1. They are...even their first round pick thinks so
  2. So this point in particular is the most disconcerting to me. Unlike position groups like OLine or linebacker, most special teams units across the league are made up of similar talent as it is mostly depth players. When a special teams unit faulters multiple times in multiple games, it is a direct indictment of coaching. Sure Castillo doesn’t seem to be a great OL coach but his players are untalented too. For our special teams to be outclassed heavily these past two weeks, that is entirely coaching. whether it was cutting our experienced punter, not recovering the loose fumble vs Balt, not calling a fair catch inside the 10 and getting blown up (and eventually getting Taiwan Jones injured), or not being able to down a punt at the one that had a player in position to do so, these are all things that show a lack of preparation by our team. Our team will get better as the year goes along, but the special teams being such a mess right now is a big indictment of our coaching staff and McDermott. He needs to get these detail related problems taken care of ASAP. Our team did better with preparation related penalties from game 1 to game 2 (again something a coach should be able to control), but McD certainly is showing his inexperience these first two weeks. Let’s hope he can tighten this up bc to me these are the little things that determine whether a coach can be long term successful. Talent fluctuates, how a coach prepares his team to perform should be consistent if you are going to be long term successful.
  3. Back when Mannning threw 55tds in a season, the Jags were +28 at Denver. The jags kept it within 28 points?
  4. Or trade him to Cleveland for Josh Gordon! The iron is hot!
  5. Did Josh Allen do something to Burlein? He is disparaging Allen about everything, even when he admits he doesn’t know it is Allen’s fault
  6. No Bosa, no Liuget. Chargers traveling from West to East for a 1pm game. And it’s a team who normally starts their seasons slow. Home opener, with Stevie leading the charge for our rookie QBs first game. I know we looked awful last week, but we certainly have a lot of factors going in our favor this week. I don’t do this often but I think we can beat a team that is better than us this week, 26-24. GO BILLS!!
  7. Jim Kelly for GM!!! Those players would help a little this year - though we probably still wouldn’t win a ton, but we would still need a full OL overhaul to make this team good.
  8. We all know he is gonna be a cowboy. Jerrah’s WRs are maybe worse than ours. And Jerrah don’t give no f’s about taking a lottery ticket...that’s how he made his billions in the oil game. that said, I hope we beat that sack of leather to the punch and get Gordon bc he is uber talented and probably would do well with a no nonsense coach like McD compared to what he has dealt with his entire Browns career. Hue Jackson is the Michael Scott of the NFL.
  9. This was really the only move to make. Give Peterman a shot because he played well enough and you can always go from him to Allen down the road. It is much tougher to pull Allen for Peterman down the road if Allen struggles.
  10. I’m completely good with starting JA. I think game 3 showed what he has to work on but did not show how he or this team will actually play in the season. However, if you do start JA, there is no going backwards. No switching to Peterman or McCarron trying to save the season after a couple of losses. You ride it out with Allen and let him learn. I think Peterman will be the starter because of this though. They know they can’t go from Josh to Nate midway through the season but they know they can go from Nate to Josh without much criticism.
  11. That’s if those reports on Obi are true...This is Gruden and the Raiders we are talking about.
  12. The raiders are so dysfunctional. If I’m the bills, I’m looking into him to see if he needs a fresh start like Corey Coleman did.
  13. I don’t watch much TV so I don’t have DirecTV. each year I just punch in my old school email and get the streaming package for $100 total. this year, I used the promo code “Rookie” and now 16 games of Josh Allen (and all other games and red zone) is 80 bucks.
  14. Nah not saying that at all my friend. You did a nice scouting report. just looking at my post on the first page.
  15. I was early on the bandwagon back in January ?
  16. How bout we just get rid of the anthem before football games altogether?
  17. I haven’t read the whole thread, but Josh Allen said the first teammate he texted after being drafted was Yarborough. The second was Zay Jones. the two had met at the bills training facility when Allen came for his ore-draft visit. I like hearing that because it means Zay was putting in extra, needed work. It also sounds like Zay and Allen are comfortable with each other and hopefully can be the QB/WR combo this team needs eventually.
  18. Welcome to the Allen fan club! Plenty of room! Go Bills!
  19. Good post, man. I’ve been a big Allen fan for the whole draft process and am so excited to have him as our QB. The one game everyone should watch is the Colorado State game. What a game. For those that don’t know, Colorado State is Wyoming’s “big” rival. To start the game, you can count at least 4 drops, including a beautiful shoulda-been TD pass. Not to mention, Allen was being met by defenders at the mesh point of his RPOs. WHAT? Just no time at all. And sometimes he would Carson Wentz and miraculously get out of it. Then, after half time, the snow starts. And Wyoming is losing. Allen passes and runs the pokes to the win. You see a lot of good (and some bad) things in his other games too so they are all worth a look, but the CSU game is a good one.
  20. Oh I agree. Allen did more at the line than other QBs coming out did, especially in his junior year. It sounds like Wentz was just a prodigy when it came to it. The biggest thing with Wentz is, he struggled his first year and then did really well once the Eagles filled out their roster with good players. Allen can be the same if the bills support him with the line and WRs every QB needs.
  21. He really is like Wentz with nitro boosters. Same size, same offense, same raw feet coming out of college, both intelligent, both able to miraculously escape pressure. Wentz sounds like he was further along on the command of game side. Allen is more mobile, and, of course, has the bigger arm.
  22. Boller’s completion percentage was worse than Allen’s. Locker is a better comparison, though he was done in after only a few years in the NFL due to injuries. Cutler is the best comparison, imo. Played on an overmatched team, similar completion percentage with a huge arm. And he would have been a really good QB in this league if he didn’t have such a sh*t personality.
