Hyde & Poyer. The Best? These guys think so
Reader replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I thought Poyer was one of the better safeties against the run. -
To be fair, our defense played really well against Lamar comparatively.

I had a professor who was studying abusive relationships where women were the abuser. I don't remember too much about his research other than how incredibly challenging it is for a man to be able to handle the situation. Cops get called? Guess who they are going to believe the majority of the time? I guess the question is how much do you put any of this on Fluker? I mean aside from self-defense and a few other situations, I doubt his girlfriend could provide any justification for her actions I could find legitimate. Most people learn to use their words and not their fists by the age of thirteen apparently she thinks it's okay to act in this way because of "His" actions. Because he is a man, more people will probably say he need to do x, y or z instead of the fact that DV by anyone is unacceptable; I don't care who it is against. Rule of thumb, but not always true, the "nicer" someone is the more at risk they are for a relationship like this. In trauma a person can very easily internalize the actions of others. He hit me because I made him mad. (As if anyone can make anyone else do something like that) Since we're humans and have empathy our mirror neurons cause us to feel what those around us feel. More empathy means stronger mirror neurons which means easier to feel responsible.

DeSean Jackson posts anti-Semitic messages, quotes Hitler
Reader replied to FireChans's topic in Off the Wall Archives
"really didn't realize what this passage [attributed to Hitler] was saying" and that he was "sorry for any hurt I have caused." Man, I hate it when I attribute something to Hitler and it ends up being offensive. /s (never know these days)- 469 replies

PHI Eagles projected to be $40+M over the cap in 2021
Reader replied to Mango's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Probably doesn't help that he (Desean) isn't good at recognizing fake quotes as well. -
I think since Allen has been compared to Tyrod often times in a negative way it is easy for us Bills fans to be quite defensive of Allen when we see the amount of determination, grit and ascensions Allen has had. The problem though is that for many it seems to confound their memory of Tyrod that causes them to remember a lot more of the bad than the good. In addition to that, I would think for some the idea of praising Tyrod would feel like it is minimizing Allen's accomplishments/potential.

2015 Tyrod is underrated on this board.

Yeah Josh is like 25% "WTF are you doing bro?" and 75% "WTF, do that again bro!"

The hole on the Bills roster that could ruin the season

At least this time it doesn't have to do with elitist gun ownership. -

Rank the AFC East coaches since BB came to New England

Right, but the argument is how bad Jauron is. And most of them are bad coaches. -
Rank the AFC East coaches since BB came to New England
Reader replied to JetsFan20's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, Jauron got to work with let's see, superstar Mike Gandy, Bennie Fowler, Losman/Edwards, Keith Ellison starting LB, starting RT Terrance Pennington who never started another game after that one year, Larry Tripplett, and infamous "43 is the Mike" Bryan Scott -
Even if Yoko is to blame, it's more on Lennon than her. Apparently he refused to let her out of his sight.

Nick O'Leary Recovering from Heart Attack

If this is COVID related, I wonder to what extent being an NFL athlete is a risk. I know people who are obese are considered more at risk for the disease and while NFL athletes aren't obese, they will weigh more than non-obese non-athletes. Obviously their weight is due to being healthy, but I wonder if simply weighing more might be a bad thing for COVID. -
Unpopular? The following are underrated by TBD, not too surprising since a lot of these guys were poster children of our drought. Dick Jauron Chris Kelsay Donte Whitner Leodis McKelvin Roscoe Parrish

This is brought up a lot, McD's "conservatism". The Bills called pass to run plays of 48 to 30 in the Houston game, not sure how that is conservative. McD also has one of the highest go for it on 4th down, not sure how that is conservative either. Also the Bills averaged more yards on run plays than pass plays and that includes Allen's numbers boosted by that screen pass to Singletary. Sure there were some runs that boosted the overall YPC, but it seems like if there was a game to point to as McD being too "conservative" this is not the game to do that, If McD is that conservative in the first place. Seems like people just assume because the Bills get leads and sometime loses that must mean their DC now HC must be conservative.

Josh Allen and the Check Down Pass
Reader replied to Protocal69's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah so far, for Josh it is check down or win. We have had too many quarterbacks who will check down and not try to win, Trent Edwards and his infamous run out of bounds on 4th down with 2 minutes left as the most egregious. Hopefully Josh will learn when checking down is helping him win while keeping his competitive nature. -
New interview - Wyoming Head coach re Josh
Reader replied to CorkScrewHill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Honestly if anything I'd say Josh is anti Trent Edwards. Tyrod was conservative, but he also kept a lot of plays alive playing frogger in the backfield with defensive lineman. He also wants to start and prove he is capable, something our board has given him grief over. Orton's infamous slide is sickening, however the dude definitely had some fire in him that you could see in other games. In terms of fire and drive Trent would be the opposite of Allen. -
Shaq Lawson weighs in about some of our QBs.
Reader replied to Tipster19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It really depends as to how Shaq progresses, if he does at all. I think the question is how much Shaq needs to improve in order to justify the contract. -
Drew Brees: Controversial comments

Wouldn't logically then the same people shouldn't respond in this thread/to those players as they should leave the people responding to Brees alone? -

I mean had you not included the term, "liberal line" I'd agree. If you had used something like, "PC line" or "the line others seem to want" I think it wouldn't be political at all. -

Made it to page two before someone made it about politics, not bad.
