Personally, if we could land Cousins, I'd sign him and keep the picks especially if both Buffalo and Kansas City end up with picks in the lower half of the 1st round. The cost of moving up would be steep and personally I would rather have a QB (I consider Cousins a franchise QB watching him here in VA all the time) and 4 (4 picks in the 1st 2 rounds) more players. Given Buffalo's current picks, they could package their 2 -1sts and 2 2nds to move up (using the trade value chart) to the 3rd pick w/SF, and their would likely be 2 QB's off the board already, so they would be getting their 3rd choice likely... IMO: Cousins + 4 picks in the top 64 > 3rd Choice of QB in draft. or Cousins + 4 picks in the top 64 > 4/5/6th QB choice at 18 and 3 more picks in the top 64 or any other combination or moving up and losing picks. However, I dont see us landing Cousins so....

As of today its taking Watson and its not close IMO, I get its kind of an incomplete hypothetical situation not knowing what the 1st round pick this year will be or affect in the upcoming draft, but I would gladly trade it and Tre back to KC for the 10th pick and take Watson today, utilizing the omnipotent power of hindsight. Short sample size, but potential franchise QB who has shown all the tools to be a franchise QB, including accuracy (my biggest knock on him coming out) that IMO he did not display in college. Should they parlay the extra 2018 1st round pick from the trade into a franchise QB in this draft, or draft one any other way this year, then Tre' and a Franchise QB (whomever it could be) would be the winning combination, but as of today, take the franchise QB and go from there.

Say he stays at 10 and takes Watson as his "off the bus starter" at QB and the Bills have their "franchise QB", the rest of the 2017 draft plays out as it would (who knows), the 2018 draft rolls around and the Bills have only their natural selections, Watkins, Dareus and Darby are not traded presumably, "dealer Doug" goes into the 2018 draft with a lot of flexibility but less picks, still epic? Hypothetical I know...

It almost seems like Star makes too much sense to not happen, the Panthers cap situation looks dicey heading into the off-season, Richardson adds the speed element to the receiving core it needs. I like both. Norwell I would love, he is truely under appreciated league wide and IMO will get a lot more in FA than most would believe, hired D.Rose as his agent in the summer, he's going to be very pricey and is not a perfect fit IMO for the current scheme he can pull but its not his strength, however if a new OC comes in and runs a more power based run scheme (sprinkling in zone runs) he would be a great fit given his age and ability, could start at RG day 1 and be the long term solution at LG or new LG depending on how things play out with Richie over the next year/year+. Hill and Ealy make sense if they are looking for low cost roster depth. Not personally a big fan of either and Hills ball security issues could rub McD the wrong way, but I could see it. Bradham doesnt seem to fit the staff, but makes sense, I like Tahir Whitehead OLB - Lions more in the SLB role in the McD, I think he's had a good year and would be a solid addition to the Bills D. I am sure it wont happen but if they could get DeMarcus Lawrence to play LDE via FA, that would be a huge signing, young and instant impact, not sure the Cowboys will be able to keep him and if not IMO he should be there FA priority. Re: The Front 7 - I have huge concerns about them myself, Hughes IMO along with Glenn are highly likely to be traded in the off season, Shaq??? He seems more like a rotational guy for McDefense (I do think he's better suited for RE myself), Kyle I think retires but they might be able to convince to stay 1 more year and is at best a rotational guy, with Washington going into next year, Yarbrough and Davis are rotational depth guys, Alexander should be depth at best, Brown is a gone IMO, and Humber again is really a back up/spot starter. I think LB is just as important a need as OL and DL myself, was wondering your thoughts on the LB need for the Bills and potential options in the off season? I can understand building from the lines back, makes sense, as does your ideal situation. I think a LB that can start and cover should be in that mix as well, if not two some how.

Goodwin also has 70 targets this year (https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/G/GoodMa00.htm), Matthews (36), Jones (68) and Benjamin (7) have a combined 111 targets which is criminal in comparison to Goodwin (stats per pro-football-reference.com), Goodwin has more targets individually than any of them and therefor more opportunity, Hoyer and Beathard are not elite QB's, but like Kyle Orton was here, they are capable pocket passers who can read the field somewhat and make anticipatory throws or understand where the ball needs to go, which is going to help with the "production" many members of this board are over infatuated with IMO. TT is not a pocket passer by any stretch of the imagination much less in reality, and I think he has improved this year vs. last year in utilizing the whole field more, he is still limited, therefor the WR production will always be limited with him at QB as well. Matthews has always been a big slot who is a capable zone buster and height mis-match on smaller slot CB's, he's never been a #1 or #2 WR who can beat man coverage or threaten the deep field, nor has he ever gotten separation via athletic ability. Basically he's a possession receiver who needs or to use his football IQ to find holes in zones and is reliant upon a QB who can read the field and get him the ball based upon coverage, which is not TT. When there is no legitimate threat at QB or at WR around him, coverage is easier for the D and he is essentially useless in Buffalo, vs. what he was and who was the QB in Philly or who he would be playing for say NO. If they get a QB who has pocket passing skills, he could still be "productive" and useful here this year if Peterman shows anything. I suspect like R. Woods he'll get more money to play else where with a passing QB and his "production" will return. Benjamin can be the #1 here and I agree a Good WR, he creates problems for defenses but for all the flak Watkins received for being injury prone, Benjamin has missed 7 more games in his 4 years in the league and has less "production" and like Matthews is too slow and does not have the athletic ability to make lateral cuts and create separation, IMO he's a complimentary WR2 ideally, who is obviously a size mismatch for any DB and his catching radius and physicality make him a low end #1. I think Zay needed some time to adjust, and have hopes that he can be a #1 in time, which was what I projected him to be. He's learning and I think next year he'll make a big jump as he continues to adjust, keeps running better routes, I think the ability to make cuts and create separation is there. I like Thompson a lot my self and think there is a role for hi, m here. Currently there is little separation, but I have seen WR's "NFL" open at times on the TV broadcasts, and have not seen much of the 22 this year to confirm or deny confidently, but it would not surprise. I do think however that they have set up the WR core for the future with Benjamin and Jones being there #1 and #2 interchangeably and both have the ability to work out of the slot. Thompson I like as a fill it starter if needed, deep threat and role playing #3, Matthews I think is gone so I think B. Reilly, M. Dupre, and or Rookie to fill in the gaps. Of the guys you mentioned (most are lateral or less appealing #2's IMO), Landry could fill in the slot role (gap 1) for the new QB, but I dont see them spending much to fill that role, I think they need a speed guy (gap 2) and the only one I see is Richardson, so its him or a rookie like your boy P. Campbell. WR1 - Benjamin or Jones WR2 - Jones or Benjamin WRslot - Reilly/rookie/Thompson WRspeed - Thompson/ Rookie (Campbell)/Richardson (FA) WR - Swiss Army Knife/Gaps - Thompson, Dupre, Rookie IMO this would give the new QB a real chance to develop and have weapons to utilize and grow with.

Pre draft process I was very impressed with his interviews, IMO it was after the draft he stepped back a little in the maturity department, expectations, money, fame, $h!tt¥ QB play will hAve their effects I’m guessing... As for Goodwin, yes he has more yards and 20 more targets, which contrary to many folks on this boards personal beliefs has an effect on “production”, Watkins is +4 in the TD department and has 1 more reception at this point so it will be interesting to see how they finish up the season. God knows I have regressed! Lol Im happy for Watkins, I met him a couple times at camp and everyone I know at Fisher have told me he was always good to them as well, hopefully he continues growing off the field and he finds a team who will try to throw it to him more than 4 times or so a game.
