  1. Hands are for giving, not for hitting.
  2. What a great first question to ask Marrone. You can tell it caught him completely off guard. And at the same time, its what most people think of when his name is brought up (other than, 'Who is Doug Marrone?') He really should have a better answer prepared than just some red faced stuttering pile of crap. That 45 second clip really makes me not miss him at all. Rex was bad, but Doug was bad and an !@#$.
  3. Tom Brady meets a grenade.
  4. So Clemson hasnt punted/kicked off like that all year. Is Alabamas return team that good? Clemson seemed determined to not let them get a return in, regardless of the situation in the game. When they werent kicking out of bounds or short, the punter would get the ball, hold it for a second or take 5 steps and then kick to give his guys more time to get downfield. Pretty effective, as I dont think Bama returned one all game.
  5. Same could be said for you, Russell.
  6. OBJ laid an egg in the perfect game to show everyone just who he is: a spoiled brat. My hands are cold, so lets just half ass it. Then he warms up inside and wants to hit something. He's right though, itll be a long offseason of appearances, promotions, and twitter talk. Hope he has a nice warm coat to wear.
  7. I agree. Bandit is one of the best and most insightful posters here. But I dont agree with Gilmore. High level athlete/corner, but lack of heart and leadership.
  8. Youd lose steam. The best looting is reactionary, and happens fast.
  9. Charleston as well. I will loot at the first sight of frost.
  10. Coughmin dont like Doug Wailey.
  11. Jay Cutler will enter and win a beauty contest before he plays for $10mm next year.
  12. Haha....what happened to Vic? He was never the greatest, but man has he slid in the last year or so. Everyday its a completely new story with no mention or explanation for the last. Bottles the mind.
  13. Good points. Alot of decent safety help was available. A few big names in the draft, too, that stepped in this year and made an impact.
  14. If that made you laugh, wait until you read what HOFWatkins is posting. Holy cow!
  15. Dont be modest, the stromboli is the star.
  16. Meh. Middle of the road. He would have helped us a little this year, but you could say that about 85% of the receivers in the NFL. When you have Powell, Percy, and Hunter running around out there, anyone would have helped. However, Hogan is just a middle of the road role player, that fits in with NE. Not a big deal with or without him.
  17. How do we know Brandon didnt update the wiki page last with this story? I remember 2005, and I dont remember any of this. Is this just more Russ Brandon newspeak? I wouldnt put it past him.
  18. Mario and Rex are actually very similar in that their best days are past them. At this point, both are just trying to figure out ways to hang around and still get paid. It has to be a hard decision when you know the game has passed you by (physically, mentally) but just being on a roster for another year or two will get you a couple million.
  19. This is why I think the pressure will be on Whaley. Not only will he be heavily involved in the HC choice, if he goes with the easy choice (Lynn) he will be heavily invested in the rest of the staff. He has to be, because you cant trust those decisions to a RB coach and expect real results. Conversely, if you get a Tom Coughlin type, Whaley can sit back and hang his hat on him, because someone that tenured will choose his own staff. But if he fails, Whaley fails, too. He has to choose: alot of work or alot of trust.
  20. I feel like Lynn being hired is also going to put Whaley on the hot seat (not necessarily in a bad way). Rex didnt need help putting a staff together (in his mind). He was self sustained and pretty much knew who he wanted and where he wanted them. Lynn on the other hand is a position coach who has carved a very specific niche for himself. Hes going to need a ton of help putting together a staff. Thats where Whaley will need to step up, IMO. There wont be anywhere to hide if Lynn fails, because Whaley will be just as responsible for not only the players, but the coaches this time around. So fast forward to end of next year, if its a miserable failure, clean house.
  21. Rex's Bills truck will need new springs in the seats (driver & passenger). It will also need a full interior detail before it can be given to the new coach (wing sauce).
