  1. My prediction is that he'll end up getting hired for a couple of years and then fired because of the same issues that we've had with him. His gametime decisions are questionable and so are his personnel decisions (Hackett, Caveman, Urbik, etc). His attitude is where the desire to have him as a coach comes from, but as we know, that can also be a negative in this media hyped, PC world.
  2. Not a surprised that Gase and Bevell are favorites on this board over Jackson. Did Gase work wonders with Manning? Really? Manning might be the last player in NFL history that needs to be "coached up" Bevell? Flavor of the month. Farve was kind of good without him don't you think? Also, he didn't discover Russell Wilson, thank you. Wilson carried himself and played like a 10 year vet when he walked into training camp his first year. Look it up. Jackson is tough, has leadership, is innovative, and maximizes his players performance everywhere he goes. I much prefer him. Jackson's candidacy reminds me a bit of Arians before he was hired by the Cardinals. He appears to be able to hold players accountable and can command a team, something some of these other candidates...well... I'd be shocked if they were able to do. Just my 2 cents. Good post! And likening him to Arians is promising. He was my favorite last time we were looking for a coach and he's done well with the Cards.
  3. I'm back to hating Bill Polian now
  4. The guaranteed positives of leaving ($4MM plus whatever his next contract is) outweigh the potential negatives (tanking next season and getting fired) of staying. He's selling while his stock is high, and I can't fault him for that. But I still hope he fails miserably because I'm a prick.
  5. Hats keep the bugs off of your head. Not a hard concept to grasp...
  6. I'm on board with Laser ssssssssssssssssssssss
  7. I'm not going to coach the bills. (now imagine someone with a lisp saying this)
  8. I hope he gets hired and fired in the same year, just to make things tough on him.
  9. TBH, I don't really know about either of these choices. JMO
  10. I've noticed that some of the posters have been pretty slow this morning, but the threads are working just fine.
  11. Spiller -5.9 ouch
  12. I think so too. The good thing is that the talent stays with the team, even if Schwartz is gone. There's just no telling what the next guy will do with that.
  13. His intangibles are off the charts though
  14. Understatement of the year To be fair, Hamdan thought that he was calling his VCR, but it inspired Kiko nonetheless.
  15. Got it, and I must have missed that. I was out fishin' most of the day yesterday.
  16. Yes, I think that it would be if Frank or anyone who is a younger guy gets the HC nod and Schwartz wants it, but is denied. Maybe not, but the ego of a coach like Schwartz who has been around for awhile is a hard thing to judge in a situation like this one.
  17. Glad to hear it. Everyone has been waiting to see how you feel today.
  18. The liberal media threw 4 touchdowns in the second half against the Oilers in 1993??
  19. I picked up on that too. Could be a ploy by he and the Bills, but methinks that Russ may be headed down the river. He's going to be meeting with 'the Bob's' soon enough.
  20. Schwartz is a buffoon compared to Kubiak, IMO. I love him as a DC, but not head coach. An offensive mind like Kubiak would be a good move. Plus, I can do without the whole 'carry me off the field' charade.
  21. Again, I wouldn't wear the clothes myself (save a few of those zip-ups). I'm just impressed with his overall panache since he's quit the game. Some people leave the NFL a drooling baffoon, but this guy comes out squeaky clean on the other side with a clothing line that would make Ralph Lauren jealous. Impressive on all levels, if you ask me (but again, it's not my style).
  22. I feel like Rex & Schwartz together would be like Gregg Williams in a monkey cage. Sooner or later, everyone dies.
  23. Do they retain Schwartz as DC if Gase is the new coach? Seems like a power struggle waiting to happen if they do.
