  1. I am about to take my annual February- September break. As said McD and the band are back, I'll cheer the Bills in 2023 and already expect Allen & the Bills to win the SB in spite of McD et al. Appreciate you being on top of it.
  2. And the excuses keep coming. Cincy was on a hot streak, but were not blowing out or dominating opponents (compare that to the 2020 Bills down the stretch). They are a very good team, as are the Chjiefs (who too had tight games down the stretch). The difference was the Bills did nothing vs. Cincy and were "out coached". When others brought up concerns about coaching from the GB game on, as the win streak continued, were told "You don't understand, only winning matters, not how you win" or similar. Everyone could see things were off and this was particularly due to COACHING.
  3. I vomited at the thought of Bill as the HC!!! McD isn't getting fired. Only hope is that he and Pegula get into a huge fight over philosophy. I will be over the moon if the Bills win the SB next year with McD/Frazier/Dorsey et al. Go on all you want about the regular season, however with Allen, the results sorry are a given +- 1 to 2 games. This is Allen's team that will go as far as he takes them.
  4. Why posted today, everyone knows it and has been a bone of contention all year? Caught one contested pass all year (vs. Pitt). Wanted/hoped for more and never happened.
  5. If it was hero ball why did he not run?
  6. Regardless it's over and done with and McD is back as head coach. We can only hope that he has learned. First and foremost will be what happens in free agency and the draft. And yes 2023 will be Superbowl or bust in my opinion. Anything less is unacceptable (barring an Allen injury). However what I expect from the Stadium Wall will be excuses if the Bills come up short.
  7. Regardless he was the 7th pick and was to be the missing piece. The Bills went 6-10 his rookie season, needed to bring him in and push him and let him learn on the job and more repetition and passing. BTW Tyrod threw for 300 with Rex and of course couldn't with McD and I'm still astounded he went 42 games without a single 300 yard passing game. It only emphasises his conservative and defensive nature.
  8. Remember we are told that the Bills were 13-3 this year. It is the one defense heard over and over. This is a fan board and the many here look to McD as a messiah, who turned around a 2-14 team and made them into a juggernaut. I say over and over he took over a team that yes I guess had issues and salary cap problems, but were in the playoff hunt in 2016 and lost in OT week 16. McD took that team (a meaningless loss in week 17) and went from 7-9 to 9-7 and a Dalton miracle to the playoffs. Then they drafted Allen and decided to tear down the offense even more the following year and named NATAN PETERMAN the starter, when they had the #7 pick that needed to be fast-tracked or mentored by a veteran early in the season. They went 6-10. Now 4 straight playoffs, but all ended badly (and three pointing the finger at coaching). And I have to again point out how this coaching staff coddled and stunted Allen. 300 yards passing is generally used as a starting point with QB's. It took Allen 28 starts to pass that # (part of McD's incredible 42 game stretch). A look at his peers. Burrow - 300 yards game 2 and 5X's in 10 games for a putrid Cincy team his rookie season Mahomes - First game 284, 300 third game (and scary how easy thereafter). Rodgers - Third game (yes I know on the bench behind Favre, not Peterman). Lawrence - Game 1!!!! Pickett - Game 1 (had to throw him in as it was vs. the Bills)🤣. Jackson - Game 8 Herbert - Game 1!!! Prescott - Game 9, however 8-1 and every game prior 227-290 yards
  9. Because his receivers are open, make tough and contested catches.
  10. To say McD's success is highly tied to Allen? Yes I think 80% of McD's success and the accolades are due the Allen's being their qb. Appreciate the response. I was continually railed for stating what I thought was McD's training wheels he put on Allen years 1 and 2. Can you imagine of Peterman was just bad that first game, as opposed to having a second epic failure? Allen may have waited another 8 games+. As with it seems Frazier, McD doubled down on Peterman. But we are where we are and only have hope.
  11. Called coaching and seemed the later in the season, the more frustrated he was and we saw more long balls. They had plenty of time to design an offense that worked. And how about some easy passes and separation by the receivers. Defenses figured out Dorsey the second half.
  12. And again that is all about coaching. It is something they would have looked at I would imagine and said "we got improve on this". It's about recognizing an issue and doing something. Then why did they even trade for Hines? Again water under the bridge and I hope it improves in 2023 that's all I have hope.
  13. Btw he caught 52 (8 the second game) in 11 regular season games for the 49ers. And I have it 80% due to Allen. So no I don't think there'd be an issue
  14. Christian McCaffrey seemed to pick up the 49'ers. Then why make a trade if you aren't going to use them at what he does best? Again this is coming from a person who is wondering why they aren't using the backs as receivers and screens more often. again what do I know?
  15. near the top and just showed a great shot on 8.
  16. They acquired Hines who is a great back out of the back field and a pass catcher. Guess what this great coaching staff did with him and his large salary? They didn't throw him the ball or have him involved in the offense. How much confidence does that give you?
  17. The Bills have a generational quarterback and they babied him from day one. They gave him no help the first two years and he went 28 games before his first 300-yard passing one. Show me any quarterback that went that long without a 300-yard game. This was Josh freaking Allen..... To me they could have worked on issues earlier. Sorry this was a shiny new toy that should have been played with and built around day one. But let's not forget who the choice was to start the 2018 season it was Nathan Peterman.
  18. While I agree that 3rd and 2 was stupid, unless that were going for it regardless on fourth down. Add to that it was a perfect pass and surprise surprise Davis dropped it. If he had caught it that would have been the second contested catch all year (yes he had one vs Pitt). I however keep going on about first in 10 at the Cincinnati 39-yard line and three plays that went nowhere where the Bills needed at least a field goal at a crucial time. 5 yards and Bass is in range. As bad as the Bills were, momentum, the crowd, some adjustments and the second half kick and the game could have changed. We've seen this before usually from other teams (again twice from my memory in the McD era, vs. TB a loss, and vs. Baltimore this year).
  19. Not sure McD is top 8. I however think with Allen, more protection from the line and one more receiving weapon they certainly can win. I too agree all the moping that Cincy & KC are "so much" better and that the Bills are now a notch below with a Jackson led Ravens, LA and Miami, NYJ and Peyton led Broncos..... is wrong. Better coaching & scheming is needed from McD and his staff.
  20. I know I've gone on and have been on McD since year one particularly from the minute he named Peterman the starter vs. SD. I can list everything I've questioned and getting fed up with "The Process" and other catchphrases used here. I too have said he has grown on me, but I still see so many little things that bother me and have stated them over and over in numerous threads and posts. However, there really is no compelling reason to let him go and while we can question him retaining Frazier & Dorsey, I too understand it. Look as fans we all want a SB victory and for the foreseeable future with Josh Allen if it happens it will probably be with McD. I for one don't want a 9-8 2023 season and a firing. I want 14-3, the #1 seed and the SB. Sorry I don't want to see a step back so the Bills can move two steps forward, because that will mean 2023 more countless threads & posts pointing out every mistake the coaching staff has made. So let's hope he has learned and it is not just lip service, as have Frazier & Dorsey, that the draft and FA shows commitment to the O and that 365 days from now we're talking about the upcome SB and not how the Bills should have done this or that.
  21. They're a coming back so all we can do is hope they have learned from their mistakes.
  22. But because McD is so defensive minded they too stunted Allen's growth the first Teo years with conservative offense and not letting him learn on the fly and make mistakes. McD didn't have a 300 yard passing game his first 3 years. Allen's first in 2020 like 25 games into his NFL career. Compare that to every great qb.
  23. Obviously you do not know me and how much detail I went into breaking down the kick like a zapruder film, or at my house with my friends over screaming 13 seconds is plenty and kick it short, giving up most two plays one which would have had to be in a Hail Mary.
  24. Why? Because those who were concerned from the bye week on actually may have had a point? This is what bothers me I wish we could go back to all those posts worried about what was happening with the Bills and how they were shouted down and it seems a lot of those people disappeared and no longer are part of the debate. I 100% wanted to be here this week talking about the Super Bowl and how the Bills were going to beat the Eagles. And I can promise you98% of those on the site want to be doing the same thing.
