  1. But listen to some here and they'll tell you DVOA and how good the "D" is. Sean is as much to blame (probably more then Frazier) for 13 seconds. They called two time outs and still blew it. McD get's a pass again?
  2. And I like to be comfortable watching a game. Driving 4-5 hours, tailgating in may be less then ideal weather and then trudging too and from the stadium, I'm a wimp and would love to not then be shivering (or wearing multiple layers).
  3. There was a famous Grey Cup game where that was exactly the case. https://cooperstownersincanada.com/2012/11/23/special-grey-cup-entry-remembering-the-1977-staples-game/ Edmonton won their Semi-Final 38-1 and were favourites. Montreal (who squeaked through their Semi-Final) were prepared and had staples in their cleats on an icy field. Final score was 41-6.
  4. And what blame does McD get. Does he twittle his fingers all week and not discuss with Dorsey & Frazier concepts and play calls? Oh and 13 seconds lay smack dab on him.
  5. Watching the Niners/Cowboys game and perfect conditions where the play on the field determines the outcome? Oh and comfortable fans? Nah, who wants that?
  6. Yes the Bills on D too often hope for a break (i.e. a fumble, tipped ball or bad throw int) that wasn't going to happen vs. Cincy. The Offense is a mess (that Allen usually disguises with his playmaking ability). You mean it was the coaches fault?😉😝
  7. They saw the same thing less then 3 weeks ago and basically allowed a TD every time? C'mon we know Josh did that vs. an inferior NE Pats last year, but this was at home & the playoffs. Inexcusable.
  8. There's no way around it, the Bills were not ready yesterday. January 2 they saw the Bengals walk down the field and score the first possession and yep moving the ball again the second one. Yesterday the exact same thing, two possessions 14 points. How are they not prepared and coached for that? Four straight drives by Cincy and no resistance by Buffalo. Even then somehow the Bills got a stop and then made it 14-7. Again followed by a long drive and a fortuitous call and only 17-7, the ball with under 2 minutes and the 3rd quarter kickoff coming. First & 10 at the Cincy 41 and three unforgettable plays and a missed opportunity. Second half, they are first and goal and another three terrible play calls and an FG. Cincy again follows with another long drive for a TD and the game is essentially over, however when they need a first down on 3rd and two, they call a low % long pass (and yes Gabe "big drop" Davis does it again). So when does McD take responsibility or his feet put to the fire?
  9. Here is an interesting stat (from ESPN). The second half of the season for Diggs was not as smooth, with 985 of his 1,429 regular-season receiving yards having come in the first nine games and seven of his career-high 11 receiving touchdowns. Diggs showed frustration on the sidelines at other times this season, including when McDermott consoled him during the Bills' Week 11 win against the Cleveland Browns. They were awful in getting him the ball and when they did even then it was often forced.
  10. It was both sides. The Bills though there were concerns were 14-3 (three one score losses) and then at home in the playoffs came out flat, had no answers and turtled. An embarrassing performance.
  11. No, while I agree the lines were manhandled & Burrow wasn't asked or did anything spectacular, the issue was the Bills were ill prepared yesterday and that I blame on coaching. Even after being manhandled the first quarter, the Bills got it to 14-7 and had the ball before half at 17-7 and could have made it a game. A score then and then to start the third and it may play out differently. What happens? Bad play calling after getting inside Cincy territory and then first & goal and 3 more lousy play. Then of course they allow a 7 minute drive & Cincy TD.
  12. I'm never going to be a big fan of McD, but that is harsh and knowing unless there's some blow-up with Beane or the Pegula he's here for a while (and Josh's best years), so I sincerely hope you're wrong. He is not perfect and has been given way too much credit for the Bills success. Yesterday he was awful and the coaching and the preparedness was a joke. Last thing anyone who is a fan of the Bills wants to do is come here and say that, because it means the Bills lost a big one again. As I've said go to threads where people are praising McD and see the reactions to the thread and it is almost always 90% positive "thumbs up, lombardi trophy, agree & beer stein". Some posters I'm sure start those threads to see the reactions. I think McD has improved as a coach, but yesterday was embarrassing.
  13. And how many times when that was pointed out were "fans" here told that the Bills won and that we were completely wrong in that assessment? Things were obvious to see and while we generally blamed it on coaching, most thought come the playoffs things would change and the coaches would figure it out. Yesterday the coaches were embarrassed by Cincy.
  14. Actually asd bad as the Bills were down 14-0 & 17-7, the Bills had the ball with 2:00 minutes left in the first half and the kickoff to start the third. Coaching and play calling let them down there again and the game was over. Sorry nothing hurt more then 13 seconds (okay maybe wide right).
  15. Wow watching a January game in nice weather. Wouldn't that be nice.
  16. There's no doubt Cincy was better prepared in all facets today and that included how to play in these elements.
  17. And Gabe dropped another one. But yes get the first down, like Burrow did all game. YAC....
  18. No every critical thread the reactions are always the same. Actually my takes are always spot on and correct.🤣😜
  19. Go to pro Bills threads and look at the reactions. That really is indicative of this site. eball is the best at it and will get 80+ positive reactions for them. I have a few positive, but then there are the trolls who regardless of my post, will respond with the vomit, thumbs down, x or roll of eyes.
  20. Sorry haven't read all the comments, but this is what TSW is all about. Homers. Go against McD and you're a pariah (and don't know football to boot). For 8 wins, I was saying there is something off and the response was "Just Win Baby" & "Scoreboard". Sure they came out flat and down 14-0. Burrow was making easy passes and chunk runs as well by Mixon. But somehow 14-7 and then again a long drive, but lucky and only a FG. 2 minutes and the ball to start the third. Move the ball then bad calls and no points. Third quarter have first and goal and three lousy pays. Anyone here name one play call the entire game where the Bills drew up a good one? Yes us "naysayers" have our day, and trust me not a single one of us is happy.
  21. Josh didn't stand a chance and blame coaching for that. By the way did he forget to run too?
  22. Came out with no passion or cohesion and was punched in the mouth and took it. Back to back TD's and three and outs by the offense. They were beaten at every facet of the game and the coaches had no answer. One of the worst playoff performances I've ever seen by a home team.
