  1. I'm having fun and agree with 80-90% of what GunnerBill says. Whether he agrees with my takes are something else. I've become an anxious mess watching the Bills as they are so close to the SB.
  2. Absolutely right. I expect 30 as a floor for the Bills. Me & my rose-coloured glasses. I remember the 96 yard drive before half vs. KC. I never had a doubt they weren't going to score (they fumbled away the first possession, blew it on downs the next....). Now I'm no where near as confident (though I do expect it).
  3. Built on #'s early in the season. Then there was an issue with turnovers, which ended many drives. Of course add to that NYJ certainly caused problems and weather was a factor in some games. The third quarter vs. Miami after an uber efficient first half was concerning. The concerns for me is that the Bills offense has sputtered of late and we have not seen those games like at the end of 2020 and 2021 (NE & KC). I expect a lot more from the Bills and maybe that clouds my judgement. The Bills basement is 20-24 points a game, their ceiling should be in the 40's, but we've not seen that high end scoring for a long-time. Say whatever you want, the eye test says different. This should be the most efficient team in the NFL.
  4. Anyone who thinks the Bills offence (based on expectations) is running efficiently, I don't know what to say to them.🙄
  5. Yep. Check the box scores. 5 straight punts vs. NYJ, third quarter vs. Miami, even NE Sunday there were three drives of 6 or less plays (ignore the fumbles too). Heck after the first 3 weeks we were comparing Martin to the Maytag Repair man.
  6. GunnerBill knows more than us, just ask him. Actually he probably does, but the eye test is pretty clear too. Tre's Int was a bad read and Tre had position and was a pretty easy int (though a Bills wideout probably drops it as it was into coverage🤣). NFL Live yesterday said that the Bills are going nowhere with the Defense playing like this and pointed out Mac was 17-17 in their scoring drives. So the question is does GunnerBill know more than those on NFL Live?😉
  7. Regardless of what you think, the offence to me has been off most of the year. 20+ points is not the issue with this offence, but there are too many 3 & outs and disjointed drives. I will repeat over and over that it is because we don't have simple pitch & catch plays and receivers don't make those tough catches and Josh seems to have to will the Bills too many times.
  8. How many 50/50 balls does Allen throw hoping the receiver makes the play? Very few from what I see (and when he does the Bill doesn't make the catch).
  9. His % completion is right there with most QB's and he does take underneath stuff. The issue is there are no receivers running or schemed open. Our backs are underutilized and when was the last time a screen was drawn up that gained 15+ yards. Again look at the YAC #'s that are not good.
  10. I think the majority of Allen fans thinks that is the case. Too much seemingly broken plays and improvisation by Josh (Cooks and Davis TDs that were rabbits pulled out of hats). The Knox TD, give the line credit they gave him time, but NE was wary of Allen running. The Diggs TD only Allen could make that 65 yard throw (and he did not step into it). So seldom do we see easy completions and receivers running open on let's say a wheel route or a simple swing with 10 yards of open field ahead. As said two things we don't see are the easy wide open receptions or the 50/50 or difficult ones. However once in a while we see a good play call, just no where near often enough.
  11. Geez seem to be saying that every week. Oh another QB completing a 50/50 throw (could say the same thing about the first int. BTW would be nice to see a Bills receiver catch a 50/50 ball.....😉) So again Bills fans are excited about how they played vs. Mac Jones? Well NE should be even more excited they held Allen to 21 points (and lamenting two long completions) and outscored the Bills offence 23-21.
  12. And two Ints that were the result of fortuitous bounces (easily could have been incompletions). They had a 60 & 85 yard drive in the second half. Jones threw 3 Ints too (Bills fumbled twice). You really are a glass half full guy (admittedely I'm half empty).
  13. A few spelling mistakes, but exactly what I keep saying. My concern is the Bills offence too has been a little clunky at times and not running on all cylinders, which they need to be come the playoffs.
  14. PVR the games, so I go back to where I left off. When the Defence has third & 8, I often turn the channel as I am just too nervous watching them.
  15. Really???? Bathrooms are the only issue at Highmark??? Talk about low standards.
  16. Trust me I get it. It was a tough week too. The issue is the defence to me has been meh. Miami was the last decent Offensive team we played and they carved up the Bills defence. Bend don't break is fine if the offence is humming, but not so sure they are either. Seems too many long drives are required to score points. Let's all agree we're still talking about the Bills next playoff game in 4 weeks (and not 2024)!!!!
  17. Fine the defence is great and will be the reason they win the SB. Does that make you happy? Let's hope they can contain Thompson & the phins this week.
  18. Can merge with other thread (just saw). "Unknown" high ranking official from Bills or Bengals trashes NFL and Troy Vincent for response
  19. First I think the NFL eventually got it right (but they were ready to blow it). No way should the game ever have been replayed (and fortunately Cincy beat Baltimore, so I think that's okay), but this is a detailed report, and interesting read. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/35393227/how-bills-bengals-led-way-damar-hamlin-collapsed
  20. Actually I do that a lot too, because the defense is hard to watch. The Bills were lucky when you look at the QB's they faced during the year. They played a lot of bad ones. Yes there are injuries, but schemes and play calling too has not been great on the defensive side.
  21. Watched NFL Live and they were ripping the Bills defense. They said they can't win if they play like that. I guess I'm not the only one worried about the defense. Simply Josh Allen will need to do it all in the playoffs unless there's a huge change with the D and a lucky bounce here or there ( like on two INTs yesterday).
  22. This was posted January 2nd. I watch TB and Brady's OL is fine (not perfect, but better than Buffalo's). He has receivers running wide open and he has no mobility to buy time like Allen must often. Allen's two TD passes were one on the run, where he created busted coverage and the second he threw 65 yards on a line (sorry no other QB except maybe Mahomes does that). The Bills offence was good yesterday, but not great. They scored 21 points (and yes Davis dropped a TD), along with a bad Int & Fumble. These are mistakes they can't do vs. Cincy or KC (especially with the Bills Defence)
  23. Yes agreed he tries the hard one, but there are never the easy one where a receiver is running wide open. See Mahomes first & third highlight. As soon as the ball was snapped you knew 84 was going to be wide open. How much easier can it get?
  24. I'm talking the wide open target where there's no one around or easy pass with running room. Where are those completions. Usually he's completing in tight windows Only open receivers are after 6 seconds and he eluding the defence. Look at the passes to Shakir, Brown and Diggs yesterday where there was no room for error and they weren't wide open.
  25. And that's been the problem with the Bills offense. Just not looking very good. They are okay and certainly will score 20+ points, but that seems to be it of late.
