Bengals will be the team to beat for years to come
Billsfan1972 replied to Niagara Dude's topic in The Stadium Wall
Because instead of fast-tracking Allen the coaching staff decided to playing him with one arm tied behind its back. Now I'll have their usual response about how green he was. Don't disagree however McD did not help the situation. Burrow was trial by fire. That's the way you have to do it in my opinion. -
Dust has settled...Alphas look at what lies ahead

Why are us fans beating ourselves up? The seasons over and we have 'til September to see what moves the Bills make and what they look like come 2023. What makes it funny is while the majority here have major concerns about Frazier and many are just hoping that Dorsey's shortcomings are due to him being a rookie OC, McD for most escapes criticism (or it is contentious). As long as Allen is the QB, the Bills have a punchers chance, but will 12-5 and another loss in round two be okay? Or does that mean that then Frazier or Dorsey go. That's the scary part. If the Bills are very good again (i.e. 12+ victories and a playoff loss) does anything change? As one of McD's biggest detractors, I'm a Bills fan and would have happily eaten crow for a Bills championship, but from week 8 on, any negative post/thread was met with scorn here. What is most peculiar too, is those who were deriding those posts earlier are now the one's saying "Too many injuries to overcome", "we're a bad match-up vs. Cincy" & "we're not elite". I for one always and continue to think the Bills are the best team in the NFL. I guess the good news is that the Bills ended the year right where they did in 2021/22 and it was Cincy taking a step back (no SB). -
McD has not cared since day one about the O. They got lucky with Allen as they had to draft a QB and got the right one. He was starting Peterman in Allen's rookie season. He went 48 games without a 300 yard passing game (every team accomplishes it every year and he went his first three years unable to crack that barrier). Think about that. Yes 300 is just a #, but accepted as a standard and McD went 3 years without one. The last three years he's lived off his QB 2019 it was 50/50).

If they held their blocks another quarter second it would have been 7. OL let them down. As for the thread, I always blame coaching. Get the receiver into a position to be productive.

Because many here are of the opinion that McD walks on water.😉😆 Everyone else is to blame. When the Offense doesn't play well it is Dorsey (or prior Daboll) and with the Defense it is always Frazier. Don't forget we fired the ST last year too. And Beane is to blame for the draft (and being Defense heavy).

The Bills went 13-3. They did not look as sharp down the stretch, but beat Baltimore, KC, Miami and others during the season. I have no idea the # of posts during the season, telling me & others to "shut-up and just worry about the scoreboard when the Bills were winning" They too were still the betting favourites to win the SB. As bad as the Bills played vs. Cincy it was 14-7 and the Bills somehow held them to a FG and the Offense had the ball to end the first hafl and start the second half. Good coaching (and adjustments) and the Bills have it 17-17 or up 21-17 and a new ball game. Yes I blame the coaching. You're welcome to have your own excuses.

And Joe cool threw 2 ints and had the ball with 2 minutes to go to win the game and did not..... -
No revisionist history. Did the Bills have injuries? Yes. Were the Bills the favourite to win the Superbowl the entire year? I'm tired after the fact everyone coming out of the woodwork telling "us" that the Bills "Don't match up well" or forgetting Cincy was missing 3 people on the OL vs. Buffalo. A lot of things went wrong (and weather really played a factor), but in the end it was the Coaching that was primarily the problem.

You maybe 100% right as I am not so nuanced, however there is no way the Bills should have been steamrolled like that and let's go back to January 2nd, when the first two series Cincy was doing whatever they wanted. For the Bills to come out maybe worse 3 weeks later at home was a joke. The Coaches learned (or did) nothing. And where were all the Experts from week 8 on not banging the drum that the Bills D is not that good? Seems only a few "Non-Experts" here..... Oh and now you and others.🤣
