I love that I elicit such vitriol from some members here. Sure even if I pull out the pom poms and praise McD to the heavens😉, the same people will find something wrong.

And that was my concern, yes small issues in a 38-10 game, but three red zone trips that resulted in difficulty getting it in the end zone. So what if I like to see 15-20 yard td strikes???

They couldn't score from the one yard line (two cracks), another time it was on 4th down and the Shakir pass was something only Allen & Mahomes could do. This too goes back to 2021 and issues in the redzone.

Agree with the rollercoaster. I was just noting a few things I saw. Can I also say, screen passes too should be better executed? Yes only week two, but lots of work still to be done imo. They scored in the redzone, but none were easy. The throw to Shakir was something only Mahomes & Allen can do imo. Why? Because I had a couple of issues? Isn't that what the board is for?

I get the homerun plays may not be there, but the chunk plays are missing right now. Yes only two games in. Worry is again that McD will want to neuter him (which he has done in the past).

While a lot to be happy about, I saw some reason for concern. Coming out after the Jets game, you just knew Josh was on a leash and the first two plays being runs, I knew that was going to be the calls and that first possession was garbage. Add to that again we couldn't score from the 1 yard line and needed a second 4th & goal from the 1 to score another time. How has this become a pattern of late? No real deep balls and most down field plays were Allen buying time or just Diggs shaking his defender (and one big pass to Davis). 2021 Allen was the king of 15-20 yard lasers. Yes a much better game and took what the Raiders gave them, but still seems like something is missing.

The Bills were fine and while 38 points still seemed disjointed at times.

I was waiting for this thread.......😉🤣 I hate "The Process" and how people here are either for or against McD. I will not panic yet, however this can get old very quickly unless they go on a run.

Friend invited me to see Peter Gabriel (yes we're dinosaurs😉) and agreed without thinking (and no way to back out). So the plan was to tape and watch when I got home and fast forward a chunk of the game. Son texts me about Rodgers injury (@ 8:20) and a cart being called and thus know he's out and figure it will now be a blowout. Leaving game friend sees the the game on TV in a bar through the window and stops as it is the last 10 seconds, I tell him I'm watching at home since taped, but now it's ruined as obviously a close game and I see Bass tie it. Since there now is no point and disgusted that the Bills have put up all of 16 points listen on the radio and then some commentary on the ride home. Nothing to say, will peak here during the week, ignore most of the talking heads and am shaking my head in disbelief. Simply put they better put up 35+ vs. the Raiders.

I guess the lines only have their O/U at 10.5, with no one over 11.5, so that isn't terrible, but last year's 13-3 (where they blew all three of the losses) seems untenable.

Sorry don't pay too much attention in the offseason or pre-season. Yes free agency and read up on the Bills picks in the draft, but that's all. I already had 12-5 as the expected record and a 1 or 2 seed. Now I'm reading division up for grabs and a dogfight to make the playoffs. What did I miss?

Then what is Mahomes????? Are you saying Mahomes is a great QB & Allen only a great player who is a QB? Very few QB's win a Superbowl and we can add Hurts to the list above too as he has yet to win???? Again Shaw66 I expect McD shoulders none of the blame either????

Is it so big an ask to want one more good receiver? Oh I forgot it's all on Allen.

Winner winner chicken dinner...... Why are the Dolphins, Bengals (with Burrow an MVP candidate), Chargers, Cowboys & Eagles so much higher than the Bills? The Bills should be investing in their most important asset, which is Allen and be better wrt their receiving corps. That is my concern.

As said until the season starts I really don't get too excited (thus my departure annually after the Bills are eliminated & I no longer posts and obsess on play calling). The point is look at the top of the list and how they make qb's better and then there's Mahomes and Allen having to make due..... Interesting MVP Candidates Burrow, Hurts & Herbert there along with the overpaid and disliked Cousins, of course the overhyped Cowboys and Dak and most protected qb (anyone playing for the 49'ers).

Conversely Cincy, Dallas, SF, Chargers, Vikings, Eagles near the top. I have no comments outside I too give most of the credit to Allen for the Bills performance on offense, but let's hear the experts here debate it.

Again huh? You're trying too hard. But for you here goes. KC defers and Philly walks down the field scores td. KC gets ball at 2 minute warning and like the Bills get nothing and down 10 points at half. KC gets the ball to start the second half and flips the game scoring 7 quick points (Bills labour and still have first & goal and then peter out). Heck Philly then responded with their own long drive, but settle for a FG (Cincy scored a TD). These are 4 of the top 6 teams in the playoffs and games 3 weeks apart watched by millions, not just home team fans. Sorry I refuse to accept that Cincy is a better team. The Bills just were ill prepared and flat.

How so? Exact same scenarios in the playoffs with equally matched teams (oh and one had homefield advantage) & one team stepped up to the challenge, the other did not. It was eerily similar imo.
