How did NE figure out our offense so quick?
PortlandiaEast replied to PortlandiaEast's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I do not think that the timing of the penalties was a coincidence. I think the equal penalty stats was intentional so when people argue that BuF was penalized an unfair amount, the others can say well look NE had alot too... maybe the refs were in NEs pocket. Not one holding call on NE on 59 dropbacks? Come on. They had 3 rookies on the line... the picked up flag on Tyrods slide... please. -

Statistically penalties where not a difference between the teams. -

We did. Im hoping it was a learning experience for 'em. -
Maybe its paranoia... But after watching the first half against Miami, the Indy game, and the first drive against NE... I cant help but think NE thought that our offense was way better than they expected and found an illegal way to get an edge, either on offense or on defense. Im also extremely jaded/paranoid/whatever that the NFL is somewhat rigged, and I think our offense looks dangerous as I have ever seen.

I think at one point early in the fourth quarter, it was definitely garbage time. In very uncharacteristic fashion, it was THE PATS who slipped. They kept passing but stopped executing. Even though it was a loss, I think the 3TD rally showed its not the same old bills. The bills of old would indeed have let the pats score another 2-3 TDs. It stopped being garbage time real quick when they made it two possessions.

Is everyone happy Brady got to play us?
PortlandiaEast replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I see us beating the pats at some point this year, so I am happy brady played. The W will come either on Monday night midseason, or in the playoffs. -
Wow... Theres going to be a new invasion of really smart people with an abundance of free time who memorize this thing in a week and start pointing out all the loopholes, and common errors, etc... Its gonna be like the PGA where people spot penalties and call in hahah I I love it. Down with football! I agree 100%. If I was on the field I would argue that any retaliation from an opposing player is NOT the retaliators fault, rather the offender causing the "Ill will". (g) Using the ball or any other object including pylons, goal posts, or crossbars, as a prop. I would extend this to even spiking the ball and Kelce's DK Punch. Is the ball not a prop? I am not entertained.

See edits please. This forum has more entertainment that the games themselves! You all are great, both sides of the arguement. Underpaid on paper maybe. Im sure that when the right team wins they get a shoebox full of cash that never hits their 1099/w-2 from the someone at the top. -

There shouldnt even be refs anymore. Every play can be reviewed in seconds. Or yellow flags indicate the refs opinion that something on the field should be looked at in detail. It goes to NY for the final, hopefully accurate word. Red coach flags are as they are now. Refs are antiquated. I support the larger powers at work here. More stuff will surface. Its a matter of time that the nfl puppet show for the last 15 years will be exposed. Think to 2001. A 6th round pick given a chance to lead the show by a billionaire? A coach on his last head coaching stint willing to do anything to win? A big name consumer product owner with buys into a high wealth market in an area hungry for a successful sports team? It makes too much sense. Why would any of them bite the hand that fed them. Bill and brady would do anything to protect kraft and NE and stay on top. After it seemed to hit the fan for NE this summer i thought it would be more... normal? But now it just looks more scripted than ever. Buf claws back in, pick on first play to tie... come on NFL, you used that script with fitz and ej already... -

Week 2 Predictions: Pats* at Bills
PortlandiaEast replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bills 30 Pats 20 Buffalo ends the game with a 5 minute smash mouth possession and a FG from the 7 yard line to put it out of reach. Garapolo throws a 60 yard interception on the final play garbage time. -
After Pats, AFCE is still a "trio of zeroes"

I listed to the interview then had to go into the office. What were they laughing at that Sal had said? His answers were good, he wasn't an over the top homer or anything. Callahan, Dennis, and Kirk are all friggen Dbags, and are just bitter their show dropped off a cliff after the Sportshub came around. -
While I hate bill belichick, I am a fan of keeping the foot on the gas. Score points and keep scoring points. Roman did a good job getting to 24-0, then he took a nap. That and as someone else said most drives started 1st and 20.

Yup. Put the mustang away. Get out the jeep in this weather. -
Jeez I check TBD before bed on the night before christmas and this is what I read?? Very sad stuff. I hope that individual can find peace wherever he/she may be. And may this event not be a distraction for the players. They still have a job to do. Again, may that soul RIP.

Pats are ruining love of NFL
PortlandiaEast replied to Cal Bill's Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree with this and this goes for every team. I dont mind talking some s*** to the opposition. But getting up after every. single. tackle. NOT IN MY HOUSE. You can basically count on every incomplete pass, a D back waiving his finger and a receiver with his hands up asking for a flag. Does anybody just go right back to the huddle anymore? My number 1 transgression isn't even on the players. Its on the broadcast team. After touchdown or something, when the network cuts to commercial, they often play slow-mo clip of the CELEBRATION. WTF? Show the touchdown again you morons, not the jumping high-five. The league is 50% football, 50% theatrics, and all I really care about is football. -

PFF ranks Taylor #32 starting QB
PortlandiaEast replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's unrankable. A complete unknown. 32 is fine, its nothing, its meaningless until he earns his ranking. This doesnt bother me at all. -
Im expecting 250+ rushing yards between TT, Shady and Karlos
