  1. Yes we should repeat the pattern until it finally work for the Bills. Lets not get a new GM who finds a coach and brings in the right players for whatever offense we are going to run. Until the Bills adopt a strategic approach to fix the losing culture we will remain a franchise that a Head Coach will walk away from to be an O-Line coach in Jacksonville. Tyrod is not the root cause of the problem. He's not the one missing XPs or playing below average defense or allowing family members with no recent success join the team.
  2. They won't make the move until the season ends. There is not a lot to gain by going down the whole interim coach route. Hopefully the Pegulas go get us a real coach that knows how to build a program. We need someone like a Marty Schottenheimer or Andy Reid that can come in build a disciplined team. The culture of this organization needs to change and we need someone has done that. And I'm not talking about the kind of culture change that seems to follow the Ryan brothers around. Can you imagine how different yesterday would have been with the 2014? Still makes me mad.
  3. Progressions???? Shouldn't we give the QB at least a week to develop timing with a WR? I'm not declaring Tyrod as the final solution but let's look at the receiving corps he has to work with, especially since Woods got hurt. Things have been so rough this season that Chris Hogan may have been filling in as the #1 if he was still here. Let's keep some perspective here.
  4. Hope you built something more solid with those bricks than your original post. The other dude was just asking for facts to backup your original claims that's all. My advice is toughen up and carry on.
  5. Funniest back and forth I've read on this site. Even after just reading about Sammy's foot again this week this conversation still made me smile. There may be more pressing issues than whether you can leave WNY & see Hamilton and be home in time to tuck the kids in.
  6. Johnny can play football, or at least he could if he worked at it. It reminds me a little of what Glanville said about the Favre trade to Green Bay. “I had to get him out of Atlanta. . . . I could not sober him up,” Glanville said. “I sent him to a city where at 9:00 at night the only thing that’s open is Chili Joes. You can get it two ways, with or without onions. And that’s what made Brett Favre make a comeback was going to a town that closed down. If I would have traded him to New York, nobody to this day would have known who Brett Favre ever was.” http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/03/18/glanvilles-eye-opening-explanation-of-trading-favre/ The problem is Johnny turns into Billy and hops on a plane to Vegas. If you felt that you could get through to the kid it may be worth it.I'm not sure that Rex is that type of coach tough.
  7. I hope that keeps him from bringing in his brother.
  8. I get the dislike for Marrone and the manner that he quit on the team and the city of Buffalo. That said he did a good job getting the Bills to 9-7 with Kyle Orton as our QB. Schwartz will get that defense in Miami playing to its full potential and Marrone will make sure it's a disciplined environment. I would not like this to happen. Much happier to see any of our other ex HCs like Mularkey or Williams down there.
  9. Give the guy a chance. Every QB needs game experience to develop. Let's cut him some slack and let him develop
  10. If there is a talented guy available then yes. I would not reach for one like we've done in the past.
  11. Yes no doubt. They've been beating everyone for so long now combined too many last second field goals, malfunctioning headsets, % of winning coing flips, etc... They are just so hard to beat even teams like the Steelers fear them. The good news is that the Giants showed the league that they can be beaten, especially without Edelmann
  12. Me too. I can't believe what I'm reading here. I had to check outside that I hadn't entered some weird Twilight Zone dimension.
  13. Agreed!!!!! If our D played like last year we would have won that game. Schwartz got basically the same guys to perform at such a high level. Rex needs to break out the game film from last year and learn. EJ will take the heat today, and rightly so but lets not forget whats happened to this record setting defense. Rex said multiple times how this was the most defensive talent that he has ever had to coach. EJ can play well at times but just not consistently enough to carry a team when the need it. In his defense he was playing with an injury depleted offense, however that should have prepared him to take better care of the ball. If the forward progress call hadn't gone his way it would have been even worse. The only positive that I can say about the game is that it killed off that remaining 5% of doubt I foolishly had about EJ being a bust. I am now certain that he is a bust. Get well soon Tyrod, we missed you yesterday.
  14. Maybe it worked when Lebeau did it. This is the same front four that terrorized the league last year. Something is clearly wrong in Buffalo and it needs to the addressed while this season can still be saved.
  15. The Steelers preseason game is the only data you need to see. They could have rolled in Mr Magoo and he'd have scored against the Steelers. Bills QBs with at least 1 TD that day Taylor, Manuel, Simms. Bills QBs without a TD: Cassel It's not like Cassel is a real difference maker in this league as we will see in Dallas in the weeks till Romo makes it back.
  16. Classic over reactions. I loved the article about Fred in Seattle where he talks about how even keeled they are out there. "You notice how even-keeled people are," Jackson said. "We're 2-3, and its not like we are self-imploding or it's the end of the world. There's confidence we'll get to where we want to be. It's all in our control" Looking at the top teams you see that's how they do things. Calculated decisions and not reacting, over reaching, changing after a bump. If EJ is in on Sunday and the line protects him we will be fine. He showed us that in Preseason when he played with the #1s. We should expect that the line will protect the QB. We need to get more in the mindset of the Steelers, Patriots, Packers etc. and stop the churn and blaming everyone.
  17. I, like many others, had the feeling that this was going to be a special season. But when they cut Fred after the Steelers preseason game some of the luster was lost for me and things didn't quite feel same. We've seen other teams turn things around in recent years (just not in Buffalo) after a slow start, so all is not lost. This team is loaded with talent, we just need to see leadership emerge. As of right now I'm not sure who are the leaders on this team.
  18. The only other possibility from that era is Tasker. Bennett was good but he is not a HOF player.
  19. Rex sees him as a fumbler because he is a fumbler. Exciting runner until he flops the ball out there. And as others have pointed out Boobie is strong on special teams.
  20. I think it'll be a coach that takes a beat down from the Bills. Philbin or Pagano or both. It Karlos runs wild this weekend like I'm expecting then add Coughlin to the list.
  21. Relax. It's only game 2 and there was just too much emotion built up for this game.
  22. Better pick up Karlos now for fantasy football coz he will be a hot commodity after this weekend. With Wilfork gone this could be the perfect storm.
  23. EJ earned the backup role. It's closer than I thought is was going to be whether he should be #1 or not. When he had an O-Line in front of him this preseason he looked good and made accurate throws. Cassel is going to leave us in too many 3&5+ to be effective
  24. 1. Pats 2. Dolphins 3. Bills 4. Jets Hope I'm wrong but worried that the hype that has been built up will just be hype. As I said I hope I'm wrong and the amount of players that got hurt in the playoffs is not a sign of how the season will go.
