PFF Refocused Week 1 - Bills vs Jets
ProcessAccepted replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I can't figure if you are just being obtuse or if you truly just don't get it. Your comment that I've bolded above sums up what you are missing. We have a player that frequently makes those sorts of things happen. Most teams can not say this. When you have a special player you play to their strengths. He's a 3rd year player that missed out on top level coaching in high school and college. He has things to learn. He is learning and improving quickly at the position. I don't think you have a good grasp on people or management. Celebrating wins leads to sustained improvement and higher team performance. Focusing on the negatives only leads to resentment. The culture and process are following the more positive and supportive philosophy and the results are speaking for themselves. -
PFF Refocused Week 1 - Bills vs Jets

Yea and no. Is the Ng shorthand for negative. If your take away from yesterdays game is that bad I don't know how to help you. Josh keeps making strides. The guy took what the vaunted Greg Williams defense game him and frankly took them to school. I'm expecting continues improvement from Josh as he gains experience. For your own sake just try and enjoy the season. -
MMQB: Why the Bills are where they are
ProcessAccepted replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Very nice recap with perspective. #17 isn't a consistent top 10 QB yet. I don't expect him to be but I can see that he is developing into one. The kid just keeps improving. I think what many of us have grown tired of is the Negative Nellys on this site that expect him to be perfect. They harp about something like completion rate and when he surpasses that they just move the goal posts. I appreciate your level headed post that lays it out that he has room for continued improvement and that we have a electric play-making machine at qb. -
MMQB: Why the Bills are where they are

More good than bad. Do you work at PFF? The guy had ruined every Jets fans weekend by the end of the 1st quarter. Threw for over 300 yards with a completion rate of ~71%. You could at least have said a lot more good than bad. -
It thought it was fine for week one, they'll fine tune it while we wait for restrictions to be lifted. My only real critique would be not to be playing cheering when a player is injured. It is better to have crowd noise than none.

Bills vs Jets Postgame Thread

and missing Smoke in the endzone 😃. The thing is I don't care. I just watched a game that I was never worried about. That in itself is a testament to the team and how far they've come. #17 is the man!! -

Very happy. Josh looked improved. >70% completion is a huge step forward plus PFF can't talk about no 300+ yard games anymore. Easy win - check. Things to improve on - yes but there was alot of good things out there for week 1 with no preseason -

Really!! I'm guessing you weren't keeping up during training camp. Bass will be fine, it's just nerves and bad calls -
Predict the Division Winner: AFC North

I don't know about Mayfield. Granted he had a great rookie year and got some big time commercial deals out of it. I'm thinking that after this season the only commercials you're going to see him on will be for products like Mr Pillow and Shamwow. -

I went with Pittsburgh. I think there's a lot on film on Lamar Jackson now and teams have had time to figure some things out. He'll still be effective but not to the same extent as last year. Big Ben is back and all reports are that he is healthy. They'll push the Ravens for the top slot this year. Both teams will make the playoffs but I'm giving the Steelers the edge. -
What Roster Spot Surprised You?

Has to be Fromm. Never heard anything positive about him during training camp. All I heard was that he struggled. A good day for him seem to be when he didn't get mentioned. -

So with Cut Day happening on Saturday Any Suprises?

I agree with you on DiMarco. Common consensus is they like him but it's time to move on. Sweeney will make the team, Kroft's feet injuries make it too risky to let him go. -
CBS power rankings..Cowboys 4th, Bills 26th?
ProcessAccepted replied to mjd1001's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He has the Chiefs at #7 but then says "Make no mistake: They're still No. 1 or 2 in actual power rankings". So I'm guessing this is the Alternative Facts Power Ranking. He should have just put the Washington Football Team at #1. The fan base there have had to deal with a lot lately they could use the boost -

If it can be demonstrated that he got the "gag gift" and took no action it won't matter. The Kraft video is different because it determined to have been illegally recorded (tip of the hat to his lawyers because anyone else would be screwed). Snyder is in some serious trouble because of all the recent harassment type issues and toxic culture that have already been acknowledged by the WFT org.

I think serious conversations start after year 3. It doesn't mean that its a done deal but if an organization loses confidence they need to plan for drafting their guy. Its too late to wait until after year 4 to deal with a disappointing outcome especially after you've assembled all the other elements of the team (like we have). That said, Josh is going to step up big time this year, I'm not even remotely concerned.

Go BOLD - 2020 NFL Bold Predictions

I agree. It will be very interesting to see how David Carr handles it. He used to be unbearingly smug a few years ago when his brother was getting all the hype. Not so much to be smug about these days.
