Worse Loses in Bills History
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Foreigner's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That was a big loss at the time, but as things played out, Bills still would have loss a tiebreaker to Baltimore at 10-6 to miss the playoffs that year. And that included a gift win against the Patriots week 17 when Brady only played the first half and many others sat. Another loss that same year but much earlier in the season was the week four loss at Houston. Bills were in complete control of that game until EJ threw the pick six to Watt. We were in easy FG range so that was at minimum a 10 point swing in a game we ended up losing by less than a TD. -
Worse Loses in Bills History

No doubt. Even just a 1-3 Super Bowl record would have much different feel. A positive feel really. As it is now, when people bring up the Super Bowl years it is sadly mostly in a negative way. Heck, we go 2-2 in those four appearances and we have legitimate claim to greatest dynasty ever with being the only team to go to four straight. Oh man. -
It's still not realistic even if we win on Sunday. Even if we win tomorrow this team doesn't give me confidence that they can sweep the Dolphins. That said, I actually like our chances tomorrow. Just a gut feeling feeling though. Usually not real confident going against the Patriots but this time feels different. One of the crazy scenarios I saw on the playoff machine has us 10-5 going into the week 17 game at Miami. If we win that game we take the #2 seed and first round bye. If we lose that game and finish 10-6 we miss the playoffs all together. Crazy scenario because it assumes the Pats lose to us twice plus another team. Also assumes the Ravens win out.

Not to mention as well that same dopey ranking has Aaron Rodgers somehow ranked 17th before his injury. And for those comparing the Giants situation to ours all I can say is really? One team is battling for a top three pick. The other is battling for the 5th or 6th seed in the playoffs still. Heck, they win tomorrow they are still battling for the division. There is no comparison.

The new website gives notifications when one of my posts is quoted so it was no work at all to find your post. All I am saying is I don't read through all of the pages of a thread to and then go back and respond to individual posters. That would be a waste of time. I respond as I read them. I'm sure many others here do the same. At any rate, my apologies for being rude. Water under the bridge.

afc schedules going forward
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to billsredneck1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think most people are looking at Baltimore and are banking on Steelers and Detroit being losses. But I also think both Indy and Cincy are much tougher games than for the Ravens than one would initially think. I think the Ravens lose at least one of those two games. But then again, they also might actually split with Detroit and Pittsburgh. -

LOL. What? It's not that hard to look at ones post history. If you are not 100% positive about your team 100% of the time you get labeled a Pats troll? That's how it works around here I guess. -

Tonight's game is huge. Texans could easily pull out the win. They could easily lose too. -

I think I miss read CA OC's post. I thought when he said the rest of our games are against the AFC he was speaking to both the Bills and Ravens. -
Is anyone here really a Tyrod fan?
Sammy Watkins' Rib replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Outside of putting a legitimate ready now franchise QB on this team like a Rodgers, Brees, Brady, I think Taylor is exactly what this team needs right now. The o-line has big time issues. Taylor is able to cover up some of those issues with his maneuverability. Look at Peterman against the Chargers. He was a sitting duck. Couldn't escape. D-line knew exactly where he would be. And that was compounded with poor decisions to either not take a sack or getting rid of the ball a fraction of a second too late. The poor o-line is also evident in the running game. We need at least two hands to count the number of times McCoy was met immediately in the backfield yesterday. A couple of occasions he was even met five yards in the backfield. -

If anyone here can claim to be a fan at any point of anyone of Losman, Edwards, Fitz, EJ,Orton, and if you say you never were then you are clearly lying, then how could you not have some appreciation for Taylor? -
The path to the Playoffs

Great breakdown CA OC, but I think you missed one crucial game that kind of blows all the tiebreaker stuff up. Any tied scenario, such as 9-7 must include a win against Detroit for Baltimore if we are to win a tiebreaker against them. If we both end up 9-7 but they lose to Detroit that would automatically mean they have a better conference record then us and no need to go to common games/SOV tiebreakers. That is not to say we should hope for a Baltimore victory over Detroit. Just the opposite. Hope they lose that game, the Pitt game and any other loss will give us the wild card outright. -

I see 9-7. Split with N.E. and Miami and beat the Indy. I see the Ravens also finishing 9-7 and I believe they would likely win the tiebreaker over us if that is the case. hospitable: friendly, welcoming
