How does the QB position get better? Cardale Jones will be the response of many but what do we know? Special teams coaches are so often over looked. These guys make perfect sense as they don't bring an ego into one side of the ball. Look at what Rex did to a great defense here in just 2 years.

Come in, 3 years to win. This team has the talent to get it done. The Bills could have easily beaten: Baltimore, Miami, Seattle, Oakland, this season but they gave no spine to make the critical play. Often that's leadership or lack there of! Maybe a new tougher coach could draw that out in the team. If this team was awful they wouldn't finish 7-9, 8-8, 9-7 every darn season. are we signing MG to a TT type contract, something where he comes in and gets some $ to compete for the job. Or are we committing 4 years and 30+M guaranteed? If we signed him to a 2 year $9M deal with and optional 3rd year, guaranteeing him $5/6M, I wouldn't be against that but any more is foolish. I'd rather sign a veteran backup, draft a guy and let Cardale and a rookie compete for the starting job.

New England has drafted more QB over the past decade than the Bills! Buffalo over that period hasn't found a QB but NE has had no need. They see a player whom they feel they might be able to use as an asset later they grab him. \ The Bills should be drafting a QB every year in round 3-6 until we have one. In most cases the guy can be stuffed on the practice squad for a year or if you are worried than he's a 3rd stinger who isn't active for games - ie: see Cardale this year. As for right now, why is the world did the Bills give that contract to TT? They could have slapped the franchise tag on him for net year and saved money. You can't pay TT 27.5M for his production. However, are there better options? I doubt it, so try ot redo his contract and get his cap number down to 15M with big bonus for passer production and wins! Then whomever the QB coach is, teach him how to go through progressions and for crying out loud, stop happyfeeting your way into sacks! Stand in the pocket and make a play down field!

Why don't teams draft a QB and then spend a couple of years developing him before they throw him in. I realize paying a guy millions to sit and not play but you drafted them too early. Take the time to develop the player.
