I still feel like we are as talented as we've been reently
KRT88 replied to dayman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Nothing changes until we have the true franchise QB! 17 years should prove that. Strong defensively, productive offenses, coaching changes, hard schedules, soft schedules, absolutely nothing matters without having the QB. If you think the QB is coming this year you are lost. This team is 8-8 at best next year and maybe 2-14 would be best. If I'm the Bills I trade back, trade back back and try to trade back again. -
Watson is a turnover machine vs vanilla defensive. Vs an NFL system the guy will be exposed even worse.

The Six Most-Likely Scenarios for a Bills Trade-Down
KRT88 replied to Astrobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The bills should identify that one guy who would be a must at 10. If he's not there they should have a boat load of guys in mind and trade back if possible. We have 6 picks! The team needs 9 or10. Move back the draft is deep at several position. -
Romo to KC rumor could make Bills landing spot for A. Smith
KRT88 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
but could you make the playoffs with Alex Smith? for a team that hasn't been to the playoffs this century, getting their would be a great accomplishment. This is a guy I'd rather have than Romo and I would take him over TT. -
I dislike 90% of them but the one out of Miami on ESPN is horrible. It's like a comedy show. Not what I am looking for.

It's time to get the band back together.
KRT88 replied to FireChan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah bring back all the guys that win nothing! Putting a band back that never had any hits.... Great I'm sure everyone misses Leatherwolf -
Does New England pay guys the way we do? Why pay Gilmore? He's not worth it? The QB thing is a mess but do we need to shell out $30m on a guy who can't move to WR option #2? Do we need a $10m RB? Draft a WR in round 1? We don't have a QB! It all starts with the O-line and front 7 on defense. TRADE DOWN do what you can to collect 2nd and 3rd round picks. It's a deep draft at DT and DE, pretty week at ILB. Very strong at CB and WR. Extra picks means better chance of meeting multiple needs and letting our new young coach mold them. Tired of left overs and paying guys to not produce. Pay the young guys!

You don't care about a QB mechanics! So how long have you followed NFL football. All the truly great QB have really good mechanics. It leads to accuracy. He may have a strong arm but so does Jay Cutler! All those throwing while moving backwards. How has that worked out for him?

What 1 position should the Bills focus on in FA?
KRT88 replied to GunnerBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
for me in order: 1. RT 2. Safety 3. 2nd WR CB position is all draft and UFA TE position isn't super pressing but depth could help QB is draft and development LB's doesn't appear to be a great depth but based on last year's UFA find, you can find one with less than top priority. DL depth early in the draft TRADE DOWN - collect 2nd and 3rd round picks!!!! -
Go onto youtube and watch tape on the guy. It looks like on about 60-70% of hs throws, his feet are moving, body isn't squared up, Throwing off back foot or movng backwards. Throws are all arms not use of the legs and coming through the throw. I don't ANY highlights of anything but a primary read throw. Fnd me some tape of the guy standng n the pocket and scanning the field, moving through a route progression. If you don't see a long term project than you are blind. Guy is a mechanical nightmare who success was based on the system and throwing to wide open receivers, or WR making great plays on ball that shouldn't be thrown. I'll pass.

Can We Just Take a Moment and Be Grateful For The Pegulas
KRT88 replied to ndirish1978's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow, maybe you should switch medications or something. Who cares what he done downtown, that is a completely separate issue. One thing has nothing to do with the other. Lots of people build buildings, lots of people help revitalize a downtown. Only 30 people own a hockey team and 32 a football team. Pegula made the decision to be a sports owner. His obligation is help the franchise be successful. This forum is at twobillsdrive.com, not buffalo.com. The forum is called the staium wall, not what's going on in the city. As a lifelong fan, likely a heck of a lot longer than you based on your command or lack there of, the English language, I don't care about building, I want to see my team win a championship. If you have a problem with that conceptional idea, perhaps it's you that should find another franchise to follow. You seem to care about other thing besides winning, maybe you can become a fan of Jets both the hockey and football version. The Canes could use more fans, since only about 12,000 show up per game. Maybe the Jags, too, they have a hard time drawing. You could live in between, in Florence. -
Can We Just Take a Moment and Be Grateful For The Pegulas
KRT88 replied to ndirish1978's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This is a joke right? The time for the thanks yous and appreciations have passed. Yeah I get it, he massively over paid for the team but at the same time hundreds of fans deserve better than to watch two franchise who are simply NOT COMPETITIVE. How many years of 7-9, 8-8 and maybe 9-7 do we have to tolerate? How many 27th, 29th, 24th finished for the Sabres is enough. Season ticket holders, ticket buyers, sure it entertainment but at the same time how about being competitive and actually trying to compete for a championships. Doesn't this fan base deserve that. Screw your idea of being appreciative for the Pegula's. If you don't know what you are doing, just own the team, sign the checks and hire people to do the right things. At the end of the day the Ronney family doesn't run the Steelers day to day operations. and they don't interfere in the football department. Al Davis said it best - Just win baby! As far as a curse on the Bills. It comes from Doug Flutie people. the day we removed him as starting QB was the day this franchise starting seeing the dumpsters fire. That first benching game, was the Music City Miracle. We haven't sniffed the playoffs after that date. -
Yeah that NE team is good at everything. Which is why when Brady's battery finally does run out, it still might not get better, If the Bills have 31M in space, why cut Tyrod? Doing so would free up money to spend on whom? And once you spend that money, you still have no QB. I for one don't want to give 15M to Gilmore. 31M gets you a couple of UFA DB's, you can improve the RT position and target a WR, and get a new kicker. Plus you draft a WR or 2, perhaps another QB, a couple of DB's.

Rivers not interested in LA - nevermind he is
KRT88 replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If I were Rivers, with all the money and a new home, I'd just retire. The guy has 6 children, why bother to uproot them just to keep playing. -
An owner isn't is giving giving up a billion plus dollar asset. NFL is never gonna "down" size. Now eventually, owners might hit a stage where their cities won't give in a build them new stadiums when they like. If an outside or nearby market also won't, then things could change. However, in the mean time, it's give me what I want or I'll take my team to x y or z. San Antonio still wants an NFL. St. Louis might want one back. Toronto could always come beckoning and of course the NFL dream, London.

TT attends McDermott's press conference - hmmmm
KRT88 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In my opinion. The coaching staff is gonna look around and realize with TT they have nothing. This team isn't winning many games with Cardale Jones playing QG next season. Now 2/3 years down the road, maybe that's different but right now he's too raw. TT has issues, but the guys numbers speak for themselves. 7100 yards, 46 TD 15 turnovers and a 15-14 record. Now is when the team has to draw up schemes to better use his skill. How often did the Bills move the pocket? Did this team run combination routes? Quick slants, WR screens, traditional screens? If TT is the QB, yes you are likely never gonna have 4000+ yards passing but you will also likely never have 3 interceptions games either. The contract he signed sucked but that's totally on Doug Whaley If you can get him to redo that deal, even better but if not, bite the bullet. Trading up in the draft to grab a QB isn't gonna do anything but hurt this teams depth. We need more draft picks in round 2-4, not give them up to grab a QB that "may" solve the problem. -
Raiders looking to move to Las Vegas?
KRT88 replied to mellaman101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let's be fair, yes, the Davis family has moved the Raiders a couple of time but their stadium opened in 1966. It has a small capacity and it's a sewer. Literally, it;s below sea level and the locker room have filled with sewage several times. The Raiders have been patient just like San Diego hoping something could be worked out. Nothing has because California is in such bad shape financially. Yes these billionaire owners should build their own stadiums, but they haven't ever been made to because local and state government give in and or someone in another city givens them what they want. If Vegas or San Antonio is will to foot the bill, why should the Davis family pend their money. Yes, the Raiders belong in Oakland, they are part of AFL history but money talks. As far as the Bills go, this is why we all wanted the Pegula's as owners. They aren't moving the Bills. -
OK, so we want this guy, how do you suppose we go about getting him. Do you expect us to trade up to # 1 or 2 picks? That'll cost you a ton. 10th overall, next years 1st, a 2nd this year, likely another pick too. And exactly how is Watson different from Tyrod Taylor? Don't give me size. That 6-3 crap doesn't cut it because once he hits the NFL combine, he's not coming in a 6-3. Likely 6-1 3/4 at best. What we know, he plays big in big games. He's got questionable mechanics, his footwork isn't great. he's a decently accurate QB but I'm not talking completion percentage. in the NFL your college completion % mean zip. The coverage are far more complex and the players covering your WR are better. His body type reminds me more of Robert Griffin than anyone else. This isn't the guy I want to mortgage the future on. Show me more examples of him going through read progressions. Now the early mock draft projections mean NOTHING. QB always rise in the draft and you'll likely see 3 go in the top 6/7 this year. Personally, I'd try to go the David Carr route. I'd pick the most talented WR I could in round one and then trade up in early round 2 and grab Kelly or someone like him. I know Kelly isn't popular because he's a ego maniac but at least he's a pro style player. Find me a guy who can set his feet and throw the ball while going through read progressions.

McDermott New HC per JLaCan - new jw tweets re: Whaley & TT
KRT88 replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Oh brother. I'll lay off Rivers isn't gonna move his family to Buffalo at this stage of his life. He'll retire before doing that. Brees , come on Bills fans, he's put up pin ball numbers in a dome and he's older than Rivers. We need a QB for now and tomorrow. -
Pegulas reportedly expressed remorse for benching Taylor
KRT88 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Cut TT and here comes the 2-14, 3-13 season. With TT, improve the defense, give him healthy WR, anywhere from 7-9 to 10-6. If he improved significantly, maybe the records moves upward. In the end, real success can't happen as long as Tom Brady is still healthy. -
I have a sinking feeling...
KRT88 replied to Norwood for Wall of Fame's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Does it matter who we sign? The dumpster fire will continue regardless. Add in turnovers and how is Culter better than Taylor? -
If Garoppolo is available for trade, would ya and for what?
KRT88 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
New England wants a 1st and a 4th. It's Rob Johnson all over again! Rework TT's contracts. Instead of 27 million in guaranteed money, give him 12 and allow him to make 15 million more in incentives. Those incentives can't be easy but some have to be reachable. This way you can keep working with Cardale Jones until you feel he's ready. -
Coughlin Interviewing in Jacksonville Today per Schefter
KRT88 replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No there not The Bills front office is described as "toxic" a "dumpster fire." The Jags had a coach win 14 games in 4 years but the owner gave him 4 years. Buffalo has had 7 coaches this century's! TC will want complete control and the Pegula's have faith in their GM. Not gonna happen hear. -
Can we re-negotiate Tyrod's contract?
KRT88 replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In a league that doesn't have nearly enough QB's, saying TT is a backup is a joke! He'll never be elite but not a guy who has to be glued to the bench. -
What Bills QB has Taylor production? 7100 total yards 46 TD's 15 turnovers He needs to improve in the passing game but I just don't see how we can improve next year. Give Cardale Jones another year to develop. With the top rushing attack, a better WR corp and a better defense, TT can get us to the post season. Brian Hoyer - oh brother Why do we want to go 3-13?
