  1. I think the one guy they are willing to bet the farm on is Darnold, but the Browns will take him. People can B word about not moving into the top 4 to get one of Rosen, Mayfield, or even Allen, but I don't think the Bills are willing to pay the price for a guy they have questions about. if you don't have conviction about a guy, then don't make the move to satisfy the peanut gallery.
  2. They have a safety, they need a corner who could adequately step in if Davis or white goes down. They also need a nickel, but Johnson could come back in that role.
  3. Regarding the article, Silva lists the most important needs in order, QB, WR, and CB. I think MLB should be there too. Papa suggested OT was more important than CB, and I disagree. I think their first 2 picks should go QB and LB. fill the remaining needs after that.
  4. As Silvia has, CB is a greater need than OT. There is decent depth at OT; there is no body behind white and Davis. Just look at how the team fared when Gaines didn't start.
  5. Hmmm...you’ve made me think of an interesting research question. There are only a handful of posters on PPP that make it seem irrational, but there are a lot more on TSW. However, I’m not sure which board has the higher %? Maybe someone like OC could do that calculation? The problem with OC doing that is I’d never find out the answer because I would stop reading after the 10th paragraph...
  6. I don’t see Tre White as part of his future defense either, if you go far enough out. How far in the future can you see?
  7. Yes, it’s like an asset bubble caused by herd mentality...
  8. AJ McCarron gets my vote.
  9. I haven’t seen much of him, but if the Bills can’t get Darnold, then I’d rather they stay put and draft him at 12. Rosen won’t last more than 5 years; Allen is Jay Cutler 2; and mayfield is an !@#$. Let AJ take the reins while Jackson learns, and use the accumulated picks to draft 4-5 other starters. Its just my opinion man...
  10. Take a look at it today. I rest my case...
  11. I feel like I've seen this headline before...
  12. The point of getting Murphy was to take the focus off Hughes, who was the the only one who commanded attention in the pass rush. Murphy rushing from the left will free up Hughes, and we'll see that in his stats this year.
  13. I hope you're right.
  14. It looks as if Netanyahu will get his way now that Bolton is on board--Iran is the last of the regime change candidate countries named in the PNAC document. I fully expect there will be a Powell-at-the-UN moment, with either fake evidence or a (Syria-type) chemical weapons event blamed on Iran to justify military action. Bolton and Trump are chicken hawks who did what they could to avoid military service, but have no problem sending our troops into Harms way. This will be a mistake of epic proportion. First, any attempt to take out Iran will pull in Russia, and possibly china. And US/Israel would most likely get the Saudis involved as well. I can't envision a scenario where military action against Iran would end well. The majority of the population in Iran, their youth, hold secular views. I believe the better alternative Is to open up relations with Iran and support the continued westernization of the youth, then Iran's Shia government will eventually go the way of the communist regime in the USSR. This is a longer term solution, and, unfortunately, Bebe and Bolton want action now; Trump just wants to be stroked. I suppose it's possible the get tough talk will be a ruse to push Iran to change, but I don't believe that's what Bebe and Bolton want. i hope the Bills win a Super Bowl before Armageddon.... ps. Sorry for pulling a TSW and starting a new thread on the topic.
  15. Maybe fate intervened with the Jets surprising the Bills by moving up to #3, making it all the more difficult to get their franchise QB in this draft, and more likely that AJ is the starting QB come September? Maybe I'll learn the rosary....
  16. If they have $10-11 to play with, picking up LJ at vet min will add about $250k, finding another guy at $2 mil adds a net $1.4, so they'll have their insurance money. I'm guessing, down the line--meaning when it gets to the final 53, they might let one of Miller/Ducasse go as both will save over $1 mil if released.
  17. That probably leaves them with close to $11 million after you factor in the top 7 picks in the draft pool push about $4 mil worth of salaries off the top 51. They can easily bring back a guy like L. Johnson at vet min, and maybe squeeze one more guy on for $1-1.5 mil, maybe...
  18. Spotrac says $5 mil for Davis.
  19. He's one of a handful of non-starters that provide $1+ mil in cap space with minimal dead cap $. I don't think it's anything more than that.
  20. And Josh Allen must be a lock this year!
  21. I’m glad he has an opportunity to compete for the starting job. Let’s see what he can do with it.
  22. It's almost as if you're asking if "there's a rush to judgment" about a certain QB....
  23. 24, but there are a lot of negatives
  24. 18th thread this month with "mayfield" in the title...in case anyone was interested... 26 for Rosen, so he must be the TSW favorite.
