  1. Yes, thanks for doing this all. A good way to pass the time until draft day and learn more about prospects.
  2. It was a different regime then...with less “attention to detail...”
  3. Question for the draft gurus here. I really wanted to take a guard at 94 for the Vikes, and I came across Wyatt Teller of VT. He reminded me of Richie. He's a converted D-lineman and extremely strong. Analyses fall in the range of mid R3 to R4. He seems like he'd be a good pick up for the Bills at 96, though maybe in R4? Appreciate any comments. I watched he's a little of this video. Despite the false start, check out the pancake at 1:08. He's #57 http://www.draftcountdown.com/player/wyatt-teller/
  4. Having heard Greg Cosell on the JMS on my drive home, I was persuaded by what he had to say about this individual, that he would be an excellent nickel corner, and the Vikings could use some youth there as well. So, with the 94th pick in the 2018 NFL draft, the Minnesota Vikings take Duke Dawson, CB, Florida. I do have but one regret, I should've selected Kolton Miller instead of Brown R1. The main reason is Miller could step in at LT, while Brown is most likely pegged as an RT. The Vikings could use a lot of help on the O-line, and Miller would've helped solidify 3 positions, allowing them to move Rieff to RT and sliding Remmers to RG. The dreaded Patriots and @aristocrat are on the clock.
  5. I will be shocked if someone picks "my guy" but given the last two outcomes...
  6. Two of four picks on my short list gone in the last 4 picks. I swear to God, if @wppete and the Jags end up taking my guy again, the Vikings will ask the Commissioner to investigate...
  7. What a topsy turvy world this is becoming. In the past 24 hours I have “liked” tweets from Ann Coulter and Tucker Carlson...
  8. Try drafting behind wppete, I had to rip up cards in both rounds so far...
  9. Vet minimums at this point. It’s a long offseason...
  10. As expected, the Jags take TE Hurst, so the Viking go defense and add some youth to the back end. With the 62nd pick, the Vikings take Justin Reid, S, Stanford Cardinal. from NFl.com Overview Reid is what teams are looking for at the safety position in 2018. He's a plus size/speed prospect who has the athletic ability to help with man coverage and the instincts and ball skills for ball-hawking duties on the back end. Reid can get himself into some trouble when he's overly aggressive, but his positive plays far outweigh the negative. He has the talent to become an early starter and a good one. Reid's instincts and play traits should make him a safe selection with Pro Bowl potential down the road. ok folks, now is the time to make dinner or Go for a beer run, because @aristocrat and the Patriots are on the clock...
  11. Hey DR, looks like Assad has been set up again. There's no way he uses CW when he's almost won the war. Right when Bolton steps in too...
  12. Man this kid has started out with bang. Besides the hot bat, he had a perfect game going through 6 yesterday. Left after 7 with a one-hit shut out going. The Angels are finally relevant gain.
  13. I was beginning to wonder if the Jets were planning on employing some new exotic offense that required multiple QBs...
  14. Good that 2 TEs went then, because the Vikings were getting a little excited that no TEs had gone yet about half-way into the second round. To have one of the top ones go right in front of them would've been really disappointing...
  15. I believe JB was pissed at Ralph in that 2000 draft, and shortly after he joined AJ(?) in San Diego. There's no way he whiffs that bad.
  16. Oops! I was thinking of what they really had, and forgetting about the picks here.
  17. That blows. I'd have guessed he would've been a favorite for Bills' #53.
  18. If this is what you're thinking, then stay home, get a 12-pack and order a pizza...
  19. I looked at several sites and compared the available OTs. In the end, I trust Mayock more than the others. Also, it's rare for a TE to come in and produce right away. The Vikings are looking to take it the final step this year, and improved line play will help that with Cousins at the helm.
  20. While the sexy pick would be to take the first TE off the board, the Vikings instead do the right thing and invest in the trenches to protect their $84 million (guaranteed) man. With the 30th pick the Minnesota Vikings take Orlando Brown, OT, Oklahoma. Despite one of the slowest 40 times at the combine, the Vikings take the behemoth Brown to plug in at RT, which allows them to move Remmers to RG. Brown is also Mike Mayock's #2 rated OT. The Patsies are on the clock....
  21. Find a cheaper hotel further up main, like the Hyatt or Holiday Inn, then take the free train down to 716.
  22. The Bucs trade seems to be a no-brainer for the Bills. The Bucs don't have an R3 pick, so they could pick up one of the Bills' R2 picks to move back.
  23. Crap, things are moving fast. I may have to check out Virgil's rankings soon...
  24. I don't disagree with most of this, and I posted somewhere recently that I don't think they currently have anyone on the roster who could beat out Wright, which is an indictment of how bad the CB depth is currently. So, I really think they need to find someone, and not wait for the final 4 rounds--especially since I believe it was the secondary that was the key to them making the playoffs.
  25. Ok, you forced me to look. They were 8-3 when he started. Of the 5 games he didn't start, and the 4 losses, he would've made a difference in the Cincinnati loss, mayyyybeeee against the Jets, but certainly not NE or NO. Had he started all 16, or if they had a competent backup, I think you could argue they would've at least won 10. Btw, that's why I think it's really important they draft a CB in R2 or 3.
