  1. This thread about Orton made me laugh out loud. Sadly, it illustrates how terrible the teams have been for way too long.
  2. Love the win. Eating a few crow wings here. Im still super concerned by the lack of speed on offense. Does Kaelin Clay have any chance of being a Goodwin type deep threat to open some space in the passing game? It looked like he didnt understand his route on one third down play where TT seemed frustrated after an overthrow. Did anyone see that? Hes been here since Sept 2, so he shoild know the offense. Anyways, the defense looks solid. The team has a great vibe. Best Ive felt in years. They act like adults. McDs comments about Dareus are refreshing. However, the lack of speed at WR and RB2 concern me, and I still cant imagine winning in Atlanta and the ceiling is still probbly 8 games, BUT I hope to eat a lot more crow. Id be happy to.
  3. Does anyone know where to watch the NFL network online? Thanks.
  4. No historical record is likely. I think it would help a lot if our offense scored more points to force more teams to have pass at the end of games. That's unlikely, BUT we could lead the league by years end and that would be pretty cool. Either way, what a waste to have such an exceptional D and still miss the playoffs. We have to turn this around. It is cruel to this group, and we probably won't have Hughes next year.
  5. Sammy was on the verge of being rookie of the year...again the Bills find new ways to crush my hopes.
  6. I understand what you're saying, and I agree to point, but if someones full time job is to cover one game a week, he should do better than what we hear week after week. How often do the commentators call some important player by the wrong name because he was reading the number-name chart from the other team. Even if they have other work to do, doing one game is like their main job, so the announcers should do more homework and just work on their basic abilities to speak. It can be so bad. It is painful.
  7. Why are the tv announcers, especially the color commentators, so bad? Most of the radio guys aren't half as bad. What is the problem? And who would be your best and worst? I like Collinsworth, but Ronde Barber makes me cringe, I feel embarrassed for him. Gruden has his moments, but is normally pedestrian. I wish we could get better for MNF.
  8. I laughed out loud, then I thought, wait, for ten years our best, most famous player, was the punter. This could end up not being a joke.
  9. The win on the road in Chicago followed by the sale of the team makes this an amazing week, so how will we remember the game? So is this game going to be remembered as the "Jackson Stiffarm Game" or the "Kyle Williams Interception Game?" I think it's the "Jackson Stiff-arm Game." But maybe there's a another great game name out there? Here's the question for the whole Bills universe: NAME THE GAME!
  10. Loved the stiff arm. My son and I were running around the house like crazy people. I haven't had much to really point to these last few years to inspire my young brood of potential fans. That was epic, classic Buffalo. Old guy. Underdog. Underrated. Hard working. Runs the ball in OT down the safety's throat, no stepping out of bounds, no retreat. Nothing fancy. And Conte is on his Butt. I still Jackson scored on the play. How beautiful, regardless. This is a great day to be in Bill's Nation. So is this game the "Jackson Stiffarm Game" or the "Kyle Williams Interception Game?" Maybe that's a good question for the whole Bills universe.
  11. It is so frustrating that we have missed on a qb all these years. As everyone knows, the qb position flips everything. The Bills front office, the Bills record, even the image of our city is flipped by one man at one position. I wish we would get it right! All the analysis comes down to looking at that one position. Right now, we look awful, and management looks stupid, and the coaches terrible, unless EJ turns a corner...put Brady on the Bills and we are a 2 seed. Give EJ to the Pats and they probably miss the playoffs. If Orton or EJ are average, we finish in the middle, maybe sneak into the playoffs with nine wins. It's that simple, and that's all the main stream guys are good for, even though they like to dress up their conclusions like they are well thought out. Here's the qb situation; here's the narrative; and everyone says the same thing. Who couldn't do that? I miss the X's and O's the commentators used to give us. The talking heads these days are talking to the masses of the uninformed. They have so little to offer. The bottom line probably wouldn't change much, but at least I'd enjoy the conversation.
  12. Joe B. is very good for X's and O's, watches a lot of film, and really digs into the nitty gritty. Last year his week by week positive verse negative plays for each Bill was remarkable. He is my favorite by far, and I wish he was better spoken and had more exposure, but he's a kid and will only get better (if we can keep him). I think Gaughan is a better writer and is much better spoken, and Gaughan comes with more exposure and credibility. I do think Gaughan does a good job with the bigger picture. The guys in Rochester like Sal and Catalana do well, too. And I still like Matthews on Wham1180. At the bottom of the list is Jerry Sullivan. Sully is way too negative and arrogant for me. I'm negative enough just looking at the field every Sunday. Listening to him is like sitting in a bad movie, trying to watch it anyways (since you paid the ten dollars for a ticket and popcorn), with the guy next to telling you how bad the movie is over and over again. Hey, I get it, but let me watch it. Okay, I'm an idiot and you're the enlightened critic; just shut up already! I hope Sully writes long enough to have his beloved Pats switch places with Buffalo, at least for a season or two. Brady can't play forever, right? 1. Joe Bascaglia 2. Mark Gaughan 3. The Rochester Bunch 1,000,000. Jerry Sullivan (with his hand in my popcorn)
  13. Anyone know anything about Pegula's oldest children and their mother? What is the long term family history?
  14. Here's who should be color commentating the game to keep it interesting:
  15. Its' bad, but I don't think its that bad, Mr. Chicago. We are like a kitchen fully stocked with ingredients and prepped with pots, pans, and commercial ovens, but no cook. We have a good team, but a QB in over his head. Maybe its confidence? Maybe its ability? But EJ looks inadequate. I hope beyond hope we have enough of a running game to cover for his weaknesses. Maybe he can grow into the role. If I lived in Chicago, I only wish I would be strong enough not to watch the BIlls. I'm an addict; addicted to hope, that seems to be all the team is pushing the last 14 years.
  16. Funny. Some of you all make me laugh out loud. I read his tweet too. Right on. I was there with my family tonight, and my kids were so disappointed by the zero points in the first half. How is the team going to win fans of the future? My kids want to root for the Bills, they do, because they see me rooting, but they have to do more than whine about their fans when THEIR PERFORMANCE IS POOR, especially when fans are paying for to watch the game. I want my kids to be Bills fans. I want to cheer for them! I don't want to boo, but what are we supposed to do?
  17. Schopp has changed over the years. He has gotten more negative. Covering the Bills wasn't his ultimate life goal I think, and he seems like he drags listeners through his own personal midlife crisis. He has had a couple of shots with Espn and, he leaked that he saw Buffalo as a stepping stone, back in the day when he took over for the coach. I could be wrong, but what I hear in drubs and drabs is a bitter guy who thinks he is always smarter than everyone else in the room. I think he has some great ideas, and back when he was in Rochester, I listens to him religiously, now I tune in hoping he is on another vacation. Joe Buscaglia is my favorite. His articles on WGR are NFL scout like. He is a smart young guy with a lot of potential. He seems to get it. Capacio is the nicest guy on GR, but I like the Bulldog. If Schopp weren't such a grumpy old man, he'd be better. If he want a jerk, I could handle more of him. I don't need to have unicorns and rainbows everyday, but Everyone who calls the show isn't an idiot. Just my opinion.
  18. Anyone have a clip of BJ on the Giant's sideline? A link to youtube? That could go viral really fast.
  19. We have been terrible on short yardage...couldn't Timmy get those yards?
