  1. I will defer to the judges here, of course, but isn’t that at least 1.5?
  2. I’m not perfect, but I’m heavily on the do not judge what you don’t know bandwagon. And nobody knows as much as they think they do.
  3. The crazy part that jumped out in my face was DO NOT CALL US! We don’t want to hear a single peep from you, call the County people. It won’t entirely work, but I give them credit for being proactive and avoiding as much chaos as possible. There is not an appropriate emoji for that, but I hope you are in fact in a club of one.
  4. I think DUOLINGO translates “player safety reasons” as “it’s pretty expensive, and doesn’t earn any more money.” I could be wrong, that happens a lot.
  5. Yeah, the offense did not seem to warrant the reaction. I’ve heard alcohol can do that to people. I wonder if he will be able to keep his gig at FOX? EDIT: Where did this happen again? Was he supposed to do a college game today??? .
  6. With this crowd, she may be the one with the greatest cause for morning shame, just sayin’.
  7. This is why I advise leaving your road rage at home. You never know when the other guy is having a bad day and will be quick to reach for their gun. It’s not worth the mini-rant if you consider the worst case scenario.
  8. I actually don’t think it’s really about the player much at all. Most of the venom is (indirectly) meant for Beane for drafting them, and McD for not coaching them up. It’s just a tool to try to cast shade on the FO, nothing personal toward the player. He’s just the excuse to take a shot.
  9. Why does my mind immediately go here?
  10. It funny, but I’ll miss the crossword. Not the miserably difficult NYT or LA Times versions, but the one that comes in slightly smaller papers. The crossword puzzles geared toward people who don’t do crossword puzzles for a living.
  11. RIP So young, so sad.
  12. We will need a daily celebration of life, just in case. The Atlanta Journal Constitution plans to be 100% digital by the end of the year. No more print, any day of the week. Think of all those young paper boys out of work!
  13. If we are commenting on third round picks, why stop with our guy? Let’s look a little deeper for a more full and accurate picture. It looks like he was picked at a bit of a turning point, by a team with a SB calibre roster. I copied and pasted this from another Landon Jackson is disappointing thread: “5 hours ago, Bleeding Bills Blue said: Why'd you cut it off at 72? Seems like a strange number... almost as though picks 75, 76, 80, 82, 88, 89, 91, 98, and 99 also haven't played in the 3rd round.” I think this helps to present a more fair and complete picture.
  14. It clearly appears to have been a turning point in the draft, since about half of the next 15 or so players are in the same boat. I bet some of them were on inferior rosters, as well. I think a true and fair picture of the situation would include those facts, as well.
  15. It also appears to be deliberately misleading, so there is that…. It seems that it came right around the tipping point, but let’s not paint the whole picture when we can prop up a narrative instead.
  16. Back when we had lousy teams during the drought he would have gotten plenty of snaps. Would that make people happier? This is part of having a good team. I wish he was looking like an All Pro, but I can’t say our current situation is shocking.
  17. That’s the backup plan if the football thing doesn’t work out.
  18. And they always said you could not improve…..never mind, that was something else.
  19. The next bad groin or turned ankle may be the opening of that door for Jackson. It’s the NFL, and it’s a long season. .
  20. Do I need to add the words? .
  21. Memorable drops count way more than regular drops, just like with catches. Ask Stevie Johnson. I think Lynn Swann made it into the HOF based largely upon one super acrobatic catch in a Super Bowl. He was never great….I know….different times….
  22. If you’ve been to the beach in recent years you know it’s a huge market opportunity!
  23. I can tell you this, if we trade a TE before the deadline, one of the two remaining on the active roster will be injured in no time flat. That’s just how it seems to work, sadly.
