Who, exactly, has determined that Beane completely busted on the 2024 FA and draft class? Can we wait until they have played some football first before determining this? That seems like the prudent approach to me, but you feel free to be you.

We can agree to disagree here. Shanahan is about his system more than the QB. I don’t want to dumb Josh down and use him like a stronger armed Purdy. Now, would I like pass catchers running free? Of course, but I don’t think Josh and Shanahan’s system are a great fit.

He lived in our neighborhood and my sister would babysit his kids while we watched games at their place and I traded playing cards with his son. I exploded an egg all over that man’s suit and lived to tell the tale. Good people!

A tour of The Big House?

We did a tour of Raymond James Stadium in Tampa once. We went to the press boxes, the locker rooms, the Pirate Ship, walked on the field (it was like a putting green), etc. there are countless things that can need finishing that will not affect the fan experience in any way. That’s a fact. The little extra touches are always nice. 😊

That’s well south of us, but one helluva storm just popped up here! Yikes! Power flicked and lost cable. You may notice that my two sad song contributions have a bit of a theme. That’s about as sad as a parent can get.

Shanahan wants QB’s who run his offense. Get the ball out to where it’s supposed to go. That’s how he gets by with a guy like Purdy. Josh is the opposite of that guy with all his improvising. I’m not sure if that is really such a great match as it would waste much of what Josh does best. JMO

Shall we roll the dice and waste Allen’s prime years starting over and revamping the roster to fit the new schemes for the new HC and coordinators? I’ll stick with what we’ve got in lieu of a gamble on a new guy.

I wonder where they rank Barry Switzer? There is a lot more to good coaching in the NFL than SB rings.

There is a limit to how much time most people want to pass. It’s slow by nature, don’t let them drag it out.

Put it this way, I was in a dart league on Thursday nights and we travelled all over from bar to bar weekly, so Fridays were automatically cancelled. It was easy for me to find a way to do as little as possible. My Market Research professor gave us the syllabus on day #1, said there was a midterm and a final, and it was all from the textbook. Other than the midterm and the final, the only times I saw him after that was at the campus bar. Throwing darts, in fact. Do you see a theme yet?
