I believe this is called The @Jauronimo Rule, named so for his deep love of vests.

I’ll give Douglas props. He could have lived on the shady sideline and worn a tee shirt that said “I Wish It Was Hotter”, but he passed on that opportunity.

Is there anything you learned in school you still apply in daily life?

Nobody has mentioned hiding under their desk to survive a nuclear explosion, so that is good, right? -
We know, but we are putting our faith in Gorilla Glue on this one. I think there is hope….they have amazing commercials!

This is touching on many levels. Since our kids were young, and now well into adulthood, my wife has only asked for one gift from our boys. She has a collection of handwritten notes from our kids going back decades, and they are far more precious than any little trinket or costume earrings. They are among her most prized possessions. We are on vacation in a cabin at a resort on a lake, and all three of our grandkids are here, along with their families. It’s complicated, but it’s also beautiful. Some of them I will meet for the first time tonight. She got tee times and massages for all the right people, a full day at the pool with a cabana…..and this is her birthday gift to herself. That feels like a different generation. -
The hope I have is the way he seemed to finally be playing following the ACL, but just before the Achilles. He was super slow healing or trusting after the ACL, so maybe the same was true of the Achilles. Either way, love the guy!

I’d be very curious to see how the survey turns out. What’s the proposed split on expenses? Do the taxpayers want to pay for this? How many want to throw in the extra billion for a dome? People who say we should have a dome in Buffalo (which I would actually appreciate as an old guy who hates the cold) have to consider how much extra they would be willing to pay personally in PSL and ticket costs. What is the guy sitting next to them willing to tolerate? This isn’t a “right or wrong” issue to me, just a matter of personal preference. .

I get amused when the people of WNY talk about the high cost of housing, traffic or hot summers. My wife is from Rock Hill, SC (just south of you) with a lot of family in Charlotte. There are some gorgeous old areas there, but they come with a distinctly non-WNY price tag.

Spring comes only ahead of winter in my rankings, though it is nice to get those few warm spring days after such a long and gloomy winter. We would go out in shorts and tee shirts to play basketball when it was still too cold for the ball to really bounce right. Teaches you to pass when the basketball bounces like a medicine ball.

I’ll be very disappointed if he doesn’t have an Open House when the Bills fans come to town. I think that would be the proper gesture. Now would be a good time to look into adequate insurance, including an umbrella policy to cover the things that only Bills fans could think of!

Growing up in WNY I tend to think Spring = Mud. We had to keep a roll of paper towels by the back door to wipe the dog’s paws every time she came inside, and that still wasn’t really good enough.

NFL Players in Hot Water for Scalping SB Tix
Augie replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall
The NFL can go pound salt until the visitors are allowed shade on hot days anywhere a game is played. Player’s safety is involved there, so I don’t care what they do with their allotted Super Bowl tickets. The NFL should lose the right to fine anyone until that is fixed. They can’t claim the high ground on any other stuff until they clean up their act. -
Boy, if she’s got a good meatloaf recipe you’ve got it MADE!

As they say, If you have to ask…… you don’t want to know about the taxes, insurance, utilities or HOA fees. I’ll kick in for the pool care if I get privileges. 😊

Bengals bungling things up - new rookie contract clause
Augie replied to The Wiz's topic in The Stadium Wall
They tried to burn it off the river, but it was a hopeless task. They couldn’t even do that right! -

That’s the way I always understood it, if you want that language, I want something in return. Why did this take so long, but then…..Bengals. Now, how will the Bengals bungle Hendrickson? I think it’s fine entertainment, personally. You get to say you won the stupid pissing match. -
I have nothing to add here, other than many years ago I was into that stuff and I’d love to see and hear what you have going on there. I hope you and the pooch enjoy! .

My apologies as we are heading out to dinner with infants, so I’m not stopping to back up, but who dropped the ball? Who did Josh feel comfortable getting after? The dynamics here are interesting to me.

Elam has certainly been disappointing to this point. I won’t declare anyone or anything a bust until I see the end of the movie. Stranger things have happened, and a fresh start might be what he needs to get on the right track. .

There’s a pool, and a pond. The pond would be good for you. Someone had to do it!

I think I could vacation in Hawaii (something we are actually considering) for what my wife spent on 4 tickets for us, the son and DIL in section 132 or 134. I advised her to wait to get them cheaper, but she found some on the aisle and knew I‘d appreciate that so she pulled the trigger. We paid $700+/each. You can do better. Good luck!

He’s got a really nice house for sale in Charlotte, if you’re looking. 🤷♂️ I hope HR doesn’t get involved!
-
It’s too much like my current house, what with all the walls and floors, separated by doors. I mean, it’s almost the exact same thing, with a few minor modifications, of course. The $10.7 Mil won’t buy ALL the houses in Buffalo, but that would get you quite a collection of average priced homes in WNY. Rent those bad boys out and you have a nice income stream! .

The Chiefs failed him. If they had drafted him his handiness would have gotten him a HOF ticket already! Maybe a jacket, but at least a ticket!
