Benjamin belonged on a Rex Ryan team with unlimited donuts in the meeting rooms. I’m not sure if we would have even made the playoffs without the emergency acquisitions of Cooper and Douglas. They were not long-term fixes, but they patched a leaky tire to keep things moving down the road. There is value in that. .

….and Philly is going to have hell to pay for a while when all those void years and other cap tricks to prolong the magic come home to roost. I know, many would gladly have that problem if they had a trophy. I guess I’m different, that trophy only makes me happy until the next game starts. At least I’m honest about it. .

There is a rumor that both Falcon’s fans living in Atlanta will be in attendance. That could sway things. Yes, the Falcons could win, but it won’t be due to the huge home field advantage.

What you call bad habits, I prefer to think of as maintaining traditions. It feels much better that way.

OK, I’m starting to feel badly that nobody would take, or admit to taking, a look. I clicked. My iPad did not melt, I did not go blind, and YES, most of you would. There, I broke the ice.

Exactly, it’s not personal at all, it’s purely financial. The Bills aren’t actively trying to upgrade the fanbase, though that may be a side effect. They just want to get what those seats should fetch across the NFL market. That seems fair enough to me. It sucks for many, but there is always the option to say no. We had almost $800 into some NBA tickets on a Tuesday in Charlotte one time. My younger son turned to me 5 minutes in and said “they’re not even trying.” Quite true. Between the price and the product, they finally reached my limit. I’ve never been to another NBA game and I don’t even watch the Finals now. We all have a limit somewhere.

It’s fine, don’t worry about it. Just keep those payments coming…..

He of course projected highly, but it’s hard to tell based on the NFL talent surrounding him what would happen at the next level. Would he be good, or great? There is no sure thing in the draft, and it’s no lock that the high flying circus would continue without the surrounding cast. Context is important, he was not just a one man show. “What made the 2019 LSU offense so special? Joe Brady turned the LSU offense into a heavy pass machine that no one could stop. That season LSU's new high-powered offense averaged 48.4 points per game, scored 40 points in 12 of their 15 games, while breaking every record. Joe Burrow had very good weapons at wide receiver named Justin Jefferson and Ja'Marr Chase.Apr 4, 2025”

Yes, hindsight is very helpful that way. Nobody knew just what Jefferson would become, so it’s not really that easy.

Some teams just keep finding new ways to entertain us! 🤣

They are equally forgettable even if you live in Atlanta. Maybe once or twice a month I’ll see a Falcons hat, shirt or bumper sticker. (Just try to imagine no Bills gear in WNY.) I can’t even get out of my neighborhood without driving past UGA flags flying. The Braves get a little attention when they are good, but college football rules here, PERIOD. I even see more Atlanta United FC MLS stuff than Falcons. Odd, I know. 🤷♂️

I’d agree, but we already had an abundance of slot WR types. (This is the other debate.) No point in creating a deeper logjam. What we needed was that guy who can operate outside, gain separation and make the defense afraid. That is harder to come by, and that’s not really what McConkey is, IMO. I loved him coming out of UGA, the guy is just a football player, but we already have a good guy in that role. But yes, I think we need to hit on that guy in the draft. We don’t have $30Mil+ to throw at a proven guy.

From the media? On the internet? I don’t think that is possible. I read it, so it must be true.

At least we will be wearing Buffalo Bills helmets, and the “white” won’t be a version of the Lions uniforms after a laundry accident.

Full disclosure, I was never a baseball fan because it’s too slow for me personally. I would have a Braves game on in the background sometimes, but it was mostly white noise to me. I stopped even doing that back when they had “confusion” about the strike zone. The Ump does not decide the strike zone. It should not be different from guy to guy. I’d have an electronic strike zone before putting up with their arrogance. That’s just my way of looking at life. I don’t need to appease anyone’s ego. I also avoid the NBA like it’s my job. Same reason.

I’m not a conspiracy theory guy, but I’m also not a fan of the excuse that we’re not crooked, we are just totally incompetent.

I’m impressed, I would have thought the Greyhound bus would have been a straight shot south. Why splurge on a plane ticket like that? Bengals are showing off now!

We spent about twice that on tickets for the four of us at the opener in the lower bowl. (My wife is neither patient nor frugal when it comes to purchasing tickets.) We could have waited, I’m sure, to get the ticket prices down but it was a decision we made. While I’m looking forward to attending the Monday night game in Atlanta with family, the opener proved to me once again how much better the viewing experience is at home. If the price really annoys me, I’ll gladly just stay home. It’s better at home in so many ways I don’t feel the need to stretch myself on tickets too often.

That’s one of the worst no calls I’ve seen since the Saints didn’t go to the Super Bowl. It does make you wonder how it could be THAT BAD. Did they not correct that call? What was he supposed to do? That’s crazy to me. The NFL is slowly following the NBA into obscurity for me.

They probably all still have active leases in WNY. It just makes sense.

Beans and Sean - Should we miss the SB again
Augie replied to Cubanmist 1's topic in The Stadium Wall
I will if he won’t. Rex with the Bills was a clown with a giant ego. If he was that good of a coach, he’d still be coaching instead of a blow hard on TV. -
Time to dig out the old tee shirt, I bet he guesses his seat was A LOT COLDER!

A mysterious back ailment keeps those checks rolling in until the season is over. That sounds like a solid plan…..for self preservation.

Yes, they should trade a rookie, and anoint Sanders as the King of the Crap Heap! That just seems fitting, somehow. You’d think there is a real plan, but…….Browns.
