There you go with that LOGIC again! . Has one of those “proposed trades” ever actually happened? It might have once for something obvious but I don’t recall the details. I wish people would give that up.

Unless you lived in a ****tier brick house, I suppose. Some realtor will take that listing, regardless. I knew I should have put a sarcasm warning or a smiley face or something. That one’s on me.

We probably shouldn’t fit him for his Gold Jacket yet, he’s still a growing boy and may put some muscle on during his career. Ill, uh……..take your word for it! .

As to the bold, some things just need to be expected and understood, lest you risk losing your mind. 😋

Analyzing 10 years of first round TE production
Augie replied to FireChans's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m not sure why we are pigeonholing so much calling him a “Tight End”. I think he’s a hybrid. He can be moved all over depending upon matchups. I’m not saying we are smart enough or good enough to pull it off, but it has the potential to be very cool, IMO. -

You don’t need Dick Butkus at MLB and Mike Ditka at TE anymore. The game is evolving, better to lead than try to catch up. -

I’m very late to this party, so please forgive me if this has been beaten to death. The difference a guy like Kincaid makes is not just in his receptions, yards and TD’s. They want to be able to dictate to the defense, and his versatility makes everything better, if it goes as planned. -
That was what they played for the first dance at my wedding.

Speaking of Mr Brown, is it true O’Cyrus did not have a single penalty all last year? Huh, I wonder where that random thought came from. 🤷♂️

In the AFC Championship Game….I agree that would be awesome!

It’s funny, but I didn’t have to see the jersey number or even the hair, Edmunds was THE BIG GUY out there! Then came Groot, but Edmunds always stood out as the first guy you want walking off the bus.
-
Rex Ryan??? 🤷♂️ That’s how he hits on you, and why so many people pull a hammy trying to get away.
-
I agree he landed in a good spot, and nobody wants to be “overlooked”. While I’d rather be drafted, if you can land with a team with a weak position group your odds improve. In this case, he landed on a good team, and we have a need in his strike zone. Win/win. 🤞

They are indeed facing an uphill battle. I have to wonder how many would rather have been undrafted so they could pick a place where they have a better shot of being developed and making a roster. Making the top rosters is tough, and you have to hope you get enough preseason game film to be attractive elsewhere.

Between Kincaid and Shorter, we just got bigger in the red zone too, if they want to go that way. I don’t know that we’ll see Shorter much on offense this year, but I do love a pleasant surprise!

Beane is on record as saying Dorian the newest Williams will start on the outside. Do we not believe him? Do we think that won’t last long? Klein is very limited in coverage and would get picked on unless we scheme to protect him (as I think we adjusted to last year when he was forced to play). I still don’t know who the MLB will be replacing Tremaine. I doubt we change our scheme much, maybe just get a little more aggressive in implementation. So who is the next MLB?

The dent in the scotch supply may be what causes the “hibernation”, which is a lovely euphemism.

It doesn’t seem to exhaust you. Quite remarkable, I must say.

Wait, am I reading this right? Did he come in in the 3rd percentile in the three cone drill? Did he get lost or something?
-
But…….we have @HOUSE on our side!!! I’ve said I like Gabe more than most others do here. I expect a pretty good year, and a pretty good offer from another team. He will be the next Horrible Harry or Tremaine. Out the door, because we drafted a guy who turned out to be good enough that he had a serious market. I hope we have a bigger, better replacement. A guy can dream, right? .

I’m glad to hear it may have straightened out. We were in Park City many years ago, and there was a thing about 3.2% beer and you had to be a “member” to be able to drink in a bar. I went to a place like 3 nights in a row buying drinks and food, and the next night some guy asks “are you a member?” My blank stare answered his question. I moved to Hilton Head, SC after college. Back then SC had those airplane mini-bottles in bars. Even going back to a Bills game the liquor store guy said something about even the tonic could not be 100% alcohol free. I’m not sure what’s accurate or what is not, but there are some goofy old laws out there! I think I heard that after prohibition each area got to make their own rules, and they varied widely. .

This lead to the whole “but he can’t turn!!!” commentary. Well, so much for that. (And I admit to having been skeptical, full disclosure.)

I managed retail bank branches for years. You ALWAYS have the rate shoppers who want a little extra on a CD rate “or else”, or a free safe deposit box. “I have $100K in here, I deserve a free SD box!” Yeah, well we have people with millions who pay for their boxes. What banks want is as many products or relationship ties as they can get in a household. It’s easy to move your money market and never come back. Have your checking and credit cards, with auto-pay bills and direct deposit set up? That move just became much less likely. . .

RD 7, Pick 252: CB Alex Austin, Oregon State
Augie replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Oh, who was the poor guy, can’t name him, who looked like he was going to CRY when he got drafted by the Cheaters*? I’m guessing he knows someone trapped in Belichick Hell. -
But, beyond your football knowledge, I think we can all learn something about humility from you. Thank you for that. 😋 .
