Ed Oliver hit on 3rd down last drive. Wow
Augie replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is the kind of stuff that has led me to look into the ignore feature. Ed Oliver played GREAT. We have some fans that are so miserable that it seeps into my consciousness and I’m not going to let that affect my enjoyment of the Bills. It’s not personal towards you specifically, but there is a group of folks here who spread negativity in a way that I want no part of. NO, that does not mean I’m only looking for the Pollyanna positives. People who are too extreme one way or the other is not something I want to spend a lot of time with, in sports or anything else. A more balanced approach is healthier for me. To each their own. -
I don’t think too many people doubt that he can still play. But it is fair to doubt how long he can do it. Shouldn’t we be due to beat the odds in a good way?

Pinky oath, what else? I actually had to update my Global Entry stuff at the airport today. That digital ID is “relatively” new, and getting very good and much more widely available. I hate to say more, lest I trigger someone. I have no idea what my grandkids will see. (That’s what old people say, right?)

I’m watching the replay now and realizing just how much havoc he was personally causing out there. If he can be our Chris Jones difference maker like this I’m excited to see the rest of the season. The replay is also making me realize how many of those guys are fairly young. Let’s hope they can work the kinks out, because they gave up 40 in a jiffy! -
There’s a reason I’ll wear team gear, but not jerseys.
-
I just checked, it’s not me.
-
True, especially if you’ve witnessed those characters. I apologize for any bad dreams I may have caused, but the cost of therapy is on you.
-
Oh, come on now and be serious. Playing in a Super Bowl and being the head coach is like being a baggage handler at the airport who does such a good job they make him the pilot. I’ve been to a SB. I’d like to apply! I have experience! I’d be embarrassed to say that’s how I’d choose my HC. I’ll be in the lot soon, and my experience is that people expose themselves more on the internet than they do in person. Kinda looking forward to that.
-
Obviously, as a HC was the question, so ZERO. And the only thing relevant here. It was brought up, bragged about even, that he got a #1 seed before the Chiefs came to dominance. Whoopee. What did he do with it? I don’t think hours before the opener is the appropriate time to waste mental energy on this. GO BILLS! .
-
How many rings does Vrabel have? I’m told that’s all that counts. (Don’t worry, it was rhetorical.) And we have paid the price breaking in a new HC already. People can and do grow in their jobs. That’s a real thing. I don’t see a point in starting over unless it’s a clear upgrade. None of those fit the bill for me, but then I don’t take it as personally and emotionally as some here.

The Worthy Trade Keeps Looking Worse and Worse

I don’t like injuries for anyone, but we’ve certainly had our fair share and I’m not feeling sorry for anyone else either. -
This makes gambling easier.
-
I’m not impressed by your list or your thinking. Harbaugh is a maybe, but he wears out his welcome fairly quickly. BB is a joke, Vrabel might build culture, but we have that. What has he won as a HC? I don’t think taking the risk of rolling the dice on a guy who has never held the job of HC is a wise gamble. Hell, you have Brady on there and he’s only been a coordinator for one year. To be clear, I’m not a McD apologist. I’d fire him this morning if we had a better shot with someone else, but I don’t see that guy out there, just a bunch of maybes. I’m not blinded by hate and frustration.

If I won I’ll kick in for half of the dome! I’m not feeling a lot of pressure there. -
So, what’s your answer to the stupid question? The way you make fun of the question, it must be a great answer. Who is your guy? What is his name? What is he doing today? This will be awesome to learn!

I show up at 7am for 1pm games, and I am far from being the early bird. This is gonna be a long one today! My one piece of advice (learned the hard way, of course) is to make a right into Hammers lot. The traffic on Abbot is pretty heavy as long as it stays open and making a left into the lot can be problematic.

Church can’t hurt! Throw in a Hail Mary for me! I know that’s low percentage, but it’s worth a shot! Nothing like GAME DAY!

I agree with that. Nothing happens in a vacuum, and we both drafted to get better as a team. Andy Reid had ideas of what he could do with Worthy, and the Bills wanted a guy who could play thru the manhandling the Chiefs DB’s were allowed to get away with in the playoffs. I hope it pays off, but I’ll certainly enjoy finding out. -

Whew! I’m glad I saw this, I was just about to use the same quote. That would have been embarrassing! I think the least harmful creature on earth was the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man. How did that turn out? Did the bunny have sad cow eyes? The height is about right, I think. I saw a guy yesterday wearing a tee shirt with a giraffe on the front saying “Moo, I’m a horse.” It could be another one of those adjustable Combo-Creatures, like Mr Potato Head? I know I barely know anything. I’m more self aware than many others on that front. -

Oh, I’m certainly not trying to say it can’t happen, because it obviously does. I’m just pointing out that it is the rare exception and not the rule. I didn’t see the game last night, but apparently he was injured by a teammate who had zero intention of hurting him. Imagine some guys with bad intent getting ahold of him. Anyone can get hurt, but that small size that makes him fast also makes him much more vulnerable to injury and less effective in the run game. There, I said it, so now he’s heading to the Hall of Fame. -

Bosa and Gronk play a physical brand of football (and I wouldn’t ignore the potential juice factor contributing to injury). Worthy is all about avoiding contact to survive. He’s not a guy you put out there to help in the run game. There is a very good reason the NFL is not littered with 165 lb guys. AI Overview For the 2025 NFL season, there are very few players who weigh less than 170 lbs . Based on current reports, some players include: Tez Johnson (Tampa Bay Buccaneers): At 154 pounds, the rookie wide receiver is the lightest player in the NFL. Xavier Worthy (Kansas City Chiefs): This speedster wide receiver is listed at 165 pounds. Blake Grupe (New Orleans Saints): The kicker is listed at 156 pounds. Jake Elliott (Philadelphia Eagles): The Eagles' kicker is listed at 167 pounds. KaVontae Turpin (Dallas Cowboys): The Pro Bowl return specialist is listed at 153 pounds. It's important to remember that roster weights can change throughout the season due to player development and team adjustments. -

It was posted above that we drafted the CB version of Worthy in Hairston. Both are 5’11” super fast guys. Hairston came out of college listed as 183lbs. Worthy was a puny 167lbs. That begs the question of durability from even an uninterested bystander. Time will tell, but it’s a legit concern. -

You should invite Ginger and Mary Ann to join you in your celebration. That might give you your answer. -

We need to add some more emoji options. Nothing seems adequate here. .
