  1. I think @HOUSE is just in transition now after moving to a new alley. I hope we hear from him soon that all went well. 😊 It’s funny how you don’t notice what’s not there. As sad as it was, I think @WhoTom had best parting message I can imagine. RIP.
  2. I couldn’t personally pick a single song, but Oh Holy Night was the favorite for a guy who used to work for me. Every single time I hear that song I think of Laurence. EVERY single time. Great song, great season, and this is a great thread to get into the holiday spirit.
  3. Again, if they have all the people they need, I just don’t see the need to add to the enticement. I don’t think it’s a “cheap look”, I think they’re just trying to get a job done. I see no need to make it a statement about their generosity. If I were younger and in WNY I’d think about doing it once for a few hours just for the experience. JMO Heck, they even got @plenzmd1 to sign up, and he can shovel more snow than one hundred mere mortals!
  4. For those who think $20/hour isn’t enough, don’t do it. It’s just that simple. If they don’t get enough people, they will have to offer something more enticing. That’s how free markets work. Also, I don’t think money is the only reason people participate in this. EDIT: $20/hour is over $40k/year. That’s not nothing. .
  5. That’s what happens when the NFL tries to own Fridays too.
  6. If our excuses don’t matter, theirs don’t either.
  7. I think it’s the Dolphin’s turn to feel bad. I’m good with that.
  8. He wants to be the next Michael Phelps!
  9. I’m quoting this because it’s an excellent idea, and such a great cause. If something comes up and they don’t close the deal, who is going to ask for their money back from the pediatric hospital??? 😊
  10. That’s funny, but I only got 2 of your 4. I stole a Super Bowl ring and got sent to prison for it.
  11. You’d think they would tidy up a bit before all that, but apparently some people just don’t mind clutter. 😊
  12. OMG! We just have turkey! Sorry, middle school english flashback. Let’s eat, Steve. Let’s eat Steve. Details matter. He must have been a good teacher for that to stick like it does.
  13. Oh boy, now we all have to find out where they are registered. I’ll try to make it if the dates work.
  14. I have yet to flip over to Prime to watch this. I’ve got the score from my iPad. I don’t need them as much as they want me to. On a related note, a cloud went by recently that looked just like a turtle! I scared him off.
  15. If your number is 64, you never want to hear it out loud.
  16. I did not, and almost never do. My wife usually gets the vaccine, and she’s the one who usually gets sick. I had something similar twice, and it just lasted a day. I was sweating like I was playing midday tennis in Florida in August, and I was too weak to lift my head. I couldn’t get out of bed until about 4pm, and it only lasted an hour. It was crazy, but it passed quickly. The next day you just need to get your strength back.
  17. They use a sun dial to come out of their stance. I couldn’t help myself.
  18. I grew up in WNY, wore nothing but sneakers all year and may have owned a pair of gloves my parents gave me for Christmas. It was just what it was outside, and I went about my way. My coat had pockets. I’ve been in the south for decades. Some “winter” days I dread going out for the mail. It’s not nothin’.
  19. No, it’s just not cold enough yet.
  20. It somehow feels wrong to agree with that. 🤷‍♂️
  21. I like all the penalties, make the Dolphins stand around some more in the cold. 😊
  22. The funny thing is, my wife set me up for stuff like this and IG, and probably fed it a little something. I may have commented or done something stupid, but I wouldn’t know because I don’t know how to see what is out there on me! 😂
  23. It’s nice to have great neighbors and friends. Today was awesome for us getting so many family and friends together. I hope tomorrow is much better for you. Then you can give real thanks.
  24. All that there is, is the present.” One of the most influential physicists to have ever lived, Albert Einstein, shared this view, writing, “People like us who believe in physics know that the distinction between past, present, and future is only a stubbornly persistent illusion.” In other words, time is an illusion.Apr 6, 2023 🤷‍♂️ Maybe the turkey is getting to me. Yeah, let’s stick within that.
