I thought this for a long time, but I've arrived at my final draft conclusion. I think we go BPA + weighted values of premier position, of S, CB, MLB, WR, TE (with slight chance of OG/OT) in the 1st... and if we don't find our CB in the 1st Beane goes up in the 2nd or 3rd to make BPA match need. I just think we have too many potential openings next year to NOT handle it like this, and I don't think Beane is giving up a 1st next year on an unproven commodity.

Agreed. There's just no room on a team im building, with a flashy WR who consistently drops the ball. For every 25 yac, there's one drive killing drop. It's like the CJ Spiller of WRs. Box score showing he had 6ypc, but they were at clips of 2, 1, 15 etc the whole game. How many points does that add to the board versus take away.

At what point do we start considering Karlaftis? He's certainly at the very top of BPAs left at this point. I get we dropped 2 picks there last year, but BPA at a premier position... I don't think Beane would think twice about pulling the trigger if he's BPA.

im late to the party on scouting day1&2 guys this year but damnnnnnn. I think I like pickens the best outta this class... add in a nice 40 time, and a 6'3" frame, and we dont have anyone like him at all on the roster... i lied i like j williams better, but pickens is a close 2nd IMO

Ascending: Rousseau.... this guy came out RAW AFFFFFFF. basically redshirted, then was a force, then jump to NFL. This was his third year EVER playing DE (including HS). Dude already showed some wicked flashes. 6f 6' listed at 267. That frame is hand built to pack on fast twitch muscle tissue, adding explosion, and getting quicker. The biggest physical transformations these guys see is offseason after rookie year. Went from college buffet, to state of the art diet, and facilities. 10+ sacks, no questions on this one. Descending: Spencer Brown. He's in for some growing pains (but just for the year). D Will, was right next to the rookie to help him transition and take the reigns. Bates isnt the veteran presence, and the biggest question mark on the OL. He's going to be asked to do a lot, and I think we see peaks and valleys this year again. I expect more valleys, but he'll come in down the home stretch before playoffs. Shocking: Singletary. I woulda laughed at me 12mos ago, but here I am. He looked explosive and PO'd running the rock. His role will be more clear this year, behind a better line w/ more continuity. Contract year baby! Last chance to cash in on a FA contract.
