  1. I saw him on Mike and Mike this morning and I also thought he had a stroke or he was drunk. His speech was so slurred.
  2. Like the way you think. If he stays healthy, and that's a big if, I just don't see that as bold. Here's one: 120+ recs 15+ tds 1600+ yds
  3. Except for tds which he had 9 for the year and avg. 17.5. His 17.5 avg. per catch was 2nd most out of the top 50 wr (yards). On a side note Julio Jones had 204 targets to Sammy's 95, imagine the damage Sammy could have done with that many targets. He's the only guy in the league to have over a 1,000 and under 100 targets. Matter of fact he's the only guy in the league under 100 targets and over 850 yards.
  4. Look forward to this thread every week, even though I hardly comment, thanks Bill for another good year of "A few thought about the game". Hopefully next year we don't have to deal with all the injuries. Watkins and Tyrod need to continue to build chemistry in the off season.
  5. Would like to take this time to also thank 26CB, for the pregame and post game threads along with everything else you do. I'm sure it takes a lot of your free time up. Cheers!
  6. Playing against FCS competition and still staring down reads concerns me a lot. What's he going to do against the best players in the world? He's not going to be playing Montana, Weber State, North Dakota, South Dakota State,Northern Iowa, Indiana State, Southern Illinois, Western Illinois, Youngstown State, Missouri State. Those gimmes don't exist in the NFL.
  7. Nope. Even if he comes out this year, which he may or may not, he would go before the 5th round which is your best scenario. This year: 298/458 65.1% 4042 yds 31 tds 13 ints Rushing: 107 atts 500 yds 4.7 avg 10 tds Even if he's still a head case with those numbers get you drafted especially against the toughest competition(SEC).
  8. Down side is playing in the FCS and not the FBS. Would have like to see him against tougher competition throughout the season. For the record I know it worked with the Ravens and Flacco. "Starring at the FCS level, there will be obvious competition concerns for Wentz as he makes the leap to the NFL. He has a bad habit of staring down his reads, leading defenders to his target and making decisions pre-snap where he is going with the pass. Wentz will throw without coming to balance or setting his base and needs to improve his lower body mechanics, especially when on the move and adjusting his platform. The injury in his throwing wrist will also require monitoring moving forward." http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/nfl-draft-scout/25363115/meet-the-prospect-north-dakota-state-qb-carson-wentz
  9. I agree 26CB. You do whats best for the team not yourself especially at that price tag.
  10. Is it that hard for you to watch OL play during a game? Seriously? Your comment is the only thing ridiculous here.
  11. Agreed. I just think in this particular case OL/QB failed equally in creating passing lanes. When you watch a Saint game you can always see a couple well defined lanes for Drew to see through. That hasn't been the case for the Bills this year.
  12. Whaley on Taylor: "It's going to be a maturation process...if he can start moving around in the pocket and finding throwing lanes" Dumb question here, but is it not the OL's job to open up throwing lanes. Especially for a shorter QB. I understand that some of the onus is on the QB but OL has to help with this.
  13. While he doesn't always make to best choice on 3rd and short Tyrod is far better than the picture your trying to paint of him. After reading your little rant one would have to question your football IQ. Many of the games we lost were because our all time greatest defense could stop a nose bleed. Our defense ranks 20th in yards and 16th in points. On the other hand our offense ranks 11th in yards and 12th in points. You say he can't seem to throw an easy 5 yarder well he completes 63.6% of his passes. That's better than both Mannings, Tannehill, Osweiler, Carr, Fitzy, Rodgers, Bortles, Newton, and Luck. It's also within 1% of Brady so I think he's doing alright in the accuracy department. You claim Moore was a better QB than Tyrod in the game last week. Well lets take a looksee: Moore Taylor 13/31 13/18 41.9% 72.2% 186 yds 179 yds 6.0 yds/att 9.9 yds/att 48.6 rtg 80.6 rtg 17.7 qbr 72.5 qbr 1 rush -1 yd 14 rushes 64 yds On what planet was Moore better last week than Taylor? Answer none. Look, Taylor is not perfect and needs to grow in areas, but that is common with a first year starting QB. He's shown enough to enter next year as the starter, unless someone can unseat him in camp. He's the best we've had in a while.
  14. It has nothing to do with wanting, he's shown enough promise to earn another year easily. The defense, special teams and coaching have let the offense down big time this year. The Offense has score almost 25 points a game which with the talent on the defense should have made this a playoff team with ease. Not to mention how many 2nd and 20 and 3rd and 15 does one have to endure in a season? The offensive line is a penalty machine. As far as money, that can wait until the end of next season.
  15. Things that even the best struggle with early on in their starting careers.
  16. He's only one of 5 QBs with a rating over 100, he's 5th in yds per att and his 4 to 1 td/int ratio is only bested by Wilson, Brady and Rodgers. Add to that 450 yards rushing and 3 more tds. Not bad for his first year starting.
  17. Sammy Watkins and Tyrod are starting to build chemistry together. First 7 games 25 REC 368 YDS 14.72 AVG 3 TDS. Last 4 games 19 REC 459 YDS 24.15 AVG 6 TDS. After week 11 he only had 368 yds with 3 tds, and now he has a chance to crack 1000 yds and 10 tds. One of a few bright spots of late.
  18. Matter of fact don't punt tomorrow at all. Be a man and go for it every time.
  19. Umm, Eric are you answering your own posts again? If I told you once i've told you a thousand times quit talking to yourself.
