If that’s not Belichik at a presser after a loss, I don’t know what is. The robots have won, people. They have won.

Some insight on Bills first round and how it went down
ChevyVanMiller replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think the fact that they took Luke Schoonmaker at #58 in the 2nd round, way above his pre-draft projection, is pretty compelling evidence that Kincaid was a real desire for them in the 1st. -
RD 2, Pick 59: G O’Cyrus Torrence, Florida
ChevyVanMiller replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall
From Dane Brugler’s draft guide: BACKGROUND: O’Cyrus “Cybo” Torrence, one of four children, was born in Hammond, La. and grew up further north in Greensburg (close to the Mississippi border), living in a trailer with his mother (Demetrice), grandmother and siblings. His mother gave him the nickname “Cyborg” when he was young, which eventually evolved into “Cybo.” He played a few years of youth football, but it wasn’t love at first sight and he stopped playing in middle school. Torrence attended St. Helena Central High School and decided to give football another try, mostly because his weight (420 pounds at the time) was out of control and he wanted to get in better shape. After seeing some action as a freshman, he became a full-time starter as a sophomore and played both ways as the right tackle and nose tackle. As a junior, Torrence helped St. Helena Central to a 13-win season, playing right tackle and defensive tackle, and earned first team All-State and All-District honors. As a senior, he again played both ways and earned All-State and All-District honors. A three-star recruit, Torrence was the No. 145 offensive tackle in the 2019 recruiting class and the No. 64 recruit in Louisiana. Coming from a smaller area, he wasn’t highly recruited, but schools started to take notice during his junior season. Torrence received offers from Louisiana Tech, Middle Tennessee State, South Alabama and Southern Miss, but no coaching staff recruited him more than Louisiana’s did. Towards the end of his senior season, Torrence received an offer from Georgia (to play on the defensive line), which was his only Power 5 scholarship offer. But Torrence was comfortable with Louisiana head coach Billy Napier and signed with the Ragin’ Cajuns. He was expecting to redshirt as a freshman, but an injury to a teammate in the 2019 season opener immediately thrust him into the starting lineup. After starting his first three seasons at Louisiana, he decided to enter the transfer portal as a senior and took visits to Auburn and LSU (he almost signed with LSU to stay closer to home). However, the opportunity to reunite with Napier, who accepted the Gators’ coaching job after the 2021 season, and offensive line coach Rob Sale, who coached Torrence at Louisiana for two years before spending the 2021 season with the New York Giants, drew him to Gainesville for the 2022 season. Torrence opted out of the 2022 bowl game and accepted his invitation to the 2023 Senior Bowl. STRENGTHS: Thick, wide-framed blocker with a massive wingspan ... large boxing gloves for hands to bounce defenders around ... bends well for his size to work himself under defenders on drive/down blocks ... shows the rotational strength to create torque and displace in the run game ... stays balanced on the move ... tough for defenders to escape once his vice grips latch on ... able to refit his hands and sit down to gain leverage in pass protection ... walks the fine line of playing aggressive while staying disciplined (zero penalties in 2022) ... his coaches rave about his competitive mentality and innate wiring as a worker (Florida assistant coach: “I wish all of our guys were as genuine and coachable learners as Cybo.”) ... weighed over 420 pounds when he started high school and completely changed his nutrition and life habits to carry a comfortable weight ... started 47 games over the last four seasons, including double-digit starts at both guard spots ... fifth offensive lineman to earn consensus All-American status in Florida history. -

I only go for the soup and salad. For real Italian I always go to a local restaurant.

Also, when Olive Garden is busy with a long wait time for a table, ask to sit at the bar. Usually, you get seated immediately and your food comes out faster because it's not waiting on a waitress with multiple tables to attend to.

The Story Behind the Song (got any?)
ChevyVanMiller replied to BringBackFergy's topic in Off the Wall
The final track recorded for Revolver, ‘She Said She Said’ was inspired by an LSD-influenced conversation between John Lennon and actor Peter Fonda. During The Beatles’ US tour in the summer of 1965, they rented a house in Los Angeles’ Mulholland Drive. On 24 August they played host to Roger McGuinn and David Crosby of The Byrds, and the two parties, apart from Paul McCartney, spent the day tripping on LSD. The actor Peter Fonda arrived at the house, also on acid. He attempted to comfort Harrison, who thought he was dying. “I told him there was nothing to be afraid of and that all he needed to do was relax. I said that I knew what it was like to be dead because when I was 10 years old I’d accidentally shot myself in the stomach and my heart stopped beating three times while I was on the operating table because I’d lost so much blood.” John was passing at the time and heard me saying ‘I know what it’s like to be dead’. He looked at me and said, ‘You’re making me feel like I’ve never been born. Who put all that s**t in your head?’ Lennon recounted the incident in 1980 in one of his final interviews, speaking to a journalist from Playboy magazine. “It’s an interesting track. The guitars are great on it. That was written after an acid trip in LA during a break in The Beatles’ tour where we were having fun with The Byrds and lots of girls. Some from Playboy, I believe. Peter Fonda came in when we were on acid and he kept coming up to me and sitting next to me and whispering, ‘I know what it’s like to be dead.’ He was describing an acid trip he’d been on. We didn’t want to hear about that! We were on an acid trip and the sun was shining and the girls were dancing and the whole thing was beautiful and Sixties, and this guy – who I really didn’t know; he hadn’t made Easy Rider or anything – kept coming over, wearing shades, saying, ‘I know what it’s like to be dead,’ and we kept leaving him because he was so boring! And I used it for the song, but I changed it to ‘she’ instead of ‘he’. It was scary. You know, a guy… when you’re flying high and [whispers] ‘I know what it’s like to be dead, man.’ I remembered the incident. Don’t tell me about it! I don’t want to know what it’s like to be dead!” John Lennon All We Are Saying, David Sheff -
The AMC channel did a ranking of scariest movies a few years back, and Jaws was the number one choice. They asked Rob Zombie why he voted for that movie, and he said, “I’ll put it this way. When it came out, I was in middle school in Ohio. My parents took me to see the movie at the local mall. Afterward, we went into a York Steakhouse inside the mall, and I needed to go to the bathroom. I was afraid to sit on the toilet, because I thought a shark was going to come out and bite my ass off.”

When you go back in time make sure to pay attention in 5th grade English when they talk about the importance of paragraph breaks.
