He is 15 of 17 this year in camp. His two misses were from 51 and 58 yards. I think people are overreacting just a tad to his performance.

I hope Hollins is okay. I think he will play a pretty big role on the offense this year with his downfield blocking and target ability.

18 games seems excessive. But I have to say that anything is better than the 14 games, 6 preseason game schedule that we had to suffer through until 1978. That preseason was brutal to get through.

Dean (Astro) recently let me know that the Bills denied his request for media access to training camp because they are not recognizing bloggers. It’s a bit curious because they do recognize Podcasters, such as Joe Marino and others. In this day and age, I believe that more of us get our information from those sources than traditional media outlets. With that said, Dean only has tickets to the August 1st and 4th practices. He will be doing his in-depth notes for those dates. If anyone has tickets to any of the other practices that they would like to donate to Dean, let me know and I will reach out to him. I know I speak for many here in saying that Astro Notes are the highlight of training camp.

I've been saying this for years. As global warming continues, being along the Great Lakes is the place to be. I am the Tourism Director for the largest hotel in Niagara Falls, ON. I meet people from all points on the globe daily. In recent years the hotel fills up with increasing numbers of people from the South (especially Texas) and Pacific Northwest. Most of them tell me that escaping unbearable summer weather was a major contributing factor in their choice of vacation spots. Also, recent winters in WNY are increasingly mild. Last year I used my snow blower once. "WNY, The Weather Place To Be!"

According to the latest from ESPN, the crash occurred at 3:14 AM. It appears the other car caused the accident.
