Snowstorm lies and exagerated blizzard stories
Manther replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Russ Brandon has spent the week contacting Eskimos and trying to sell them snow as well as selling sleigh rides with Old Saint Nick! -
If the game is moved to a new location, ticket refunds?

Bills awarded TE MarQueis Gray from Vikings

He will probably be ahead of Tuel at QB on the depth chart. -
AW comments about play calling on 4th down

Agreed!! Agreed -
Agreed and I don't think the Chiefs are playing well either. Just certain match ups are food for them and bad for them.

Chuck Pagano and Mike Smith are worse than Marrone
Manther replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The biggest difference between Pagano and Smith vs Marrone is.....Pagano and Smith seem to be respected by their players. -
Bacarri Rambo. Great football name!

Its a blue light. What does it do? It turns blue... -
Bills kicker Dan Carpenter Bails out snowbound neighbors
Manther replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Carpenter is great for so many reasons and this is another. Two other quick ones are his kicking and dressing up like Kid Rock for Halloween! -
Agreed. Its worth a try. The only cost would be paying the scout. Wouldn't even need to use a draft pick.

Please tell me why Kyle Orton is not the long term answer ?
Manther replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I like Orton for this season....but I think the simple answer is he hasn't been the long term answer with 4 other clubs which is a good sample size of not being a long term starting NFL caliber QB. Until someone is better he is fine. Hopefully someone is better next year. -
Williams, Mularky, Jauron, Gailey and Marrone

Just FYI...one of my employees was renting Dick a car in the Chicaoland after he was fired mid season. I happened to be there and was observing. He couldn't even look anyone in the eye. He seemed so sheepish! Like a push over....just like he coached! -
Totally agree and another example of being out coached! Most recently the Miami game...we only gave up 3 points in the first half!

Hall Of Fame Semifinalists for Class of 2015
Manther replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Harrison, Pace and Seau for sure. Do you think Bruce or Warner stand a better chance? I don't think it is the same as Kelly going in before Thurman or Reed? -
The only snow game I have been to was the 8-0 loss to Cleveland....it was the end of that years playoff run...ouch. But, it was crazy, couldn't see past 30 yards. How did Dawson kick a fifty harder I don't know! The tailgate was awesome too in that weather and Cleveland fans were pretty welcoming. The experience minus the loss was awesome. However, I will never go to another snow game again. One was enough for me.

Agreed! Agreed and it is what I want!

Very well said. It might take some time, but, the root of the problem is fixed....it needs to be built from the top down. And, it might not take too much time because we have some good pieces in different spots.

Game day coaching decisions...why so difficult?
Manther replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well if real time is too fast for Marrone and he has not thought about most to every situation for 365 days a year then maybe he is in over his head?! Marrone gets paid millions he should be better at coaching than we are on the sidelines regarding decisions. -

Best impression of someone from the Walking Dead....Jauron.....belly laughed!!! -

I agree with all except the 2 nd point. By going for it I believe we essentially lost nothing. By kicking the FG we were saying we needed to score twice. By failing to score a TD with our D we still had two chances to score and a better chance to win. However, I think it is fifty fifty or 60/40. But I liked going for it. I think the problem was we went for the end zone 4 times instead of getting a first down and another set of downs. However, it could have been Orton selecting the end zone as there were other options. I don't blame Orton but wish it turned out better. Secondly, I disagree with Marrone and Hackett most of the time. Thirdly, we have punted 17 times from the oppositions side of the field this year! Oh my God it makes me cringe. Reminds me of Jauron and punting from the 32 for gains of net 12 and loss of the ball. Also, am I the only one who thinks Brandon hired the analytics guy to once again sell hope and advancement? Lastly, I totally agree with you and your point on the press conferences. Are we trying to protect our job or win games? Jauron? Go Bills! My hope would be keep Whaley. Schwartz is fine too and I don't think he will get a HC gig based on this one year with the talent he is working with. But yes, please replace Marrone and Hackett. At very least replace Hackett. One more thing...when it is 4 th and one I don't understand why it would not be automatic to line up and see what is available. Like a QB sneak or an easy quick one yard play when the other team is not ready. At very worst they have to call a timeout. Especially if we are punting anyways what is a 5 yard penalty? The Pats used to do this all the time. It always worked. At least take a T0 from them! -
If we look at this logically and we should the defense was responsible for every win except Miami...but they were great in that game too! Marrone and Hackett did well game planning for Miami...I wi give them that. The RBs in the last two games were as competent as the first 8 games. The O line played better with Urbik in also not worse.

Gailey for player development. Players improved under him. It is sad when you have 15 years of coaches and you pick one for best at player development based on process of elimination. Especially when developing players is so important. Also sad....I think I would go none of the above for leadership. Lastly on an as negative note....at least the last 3 all had the deer in headlights look during games. Not good...everyone notices it and most importantly players know when the coach is at a loss! -
I know each year and regime is different but haven't we drafted and spent enough resources on RB to take one in the 2 nd round when RBs are less valued each year? And we currently have 4 RBs on the roster. I know we might not have all 4 next year. For everyone upset we don't have a first round pick (I am not one of those) and think it sets our franchise back years...drafting 3 RBs in the first in the last decade has hurt us more than Sammy for an extra first (I don't think that hurts us either, but time will tell). And we already traded a 4 th for a RB in Bryce Brown which I also have no issue with. Taking a RB in the 2nd IMO is not a good move.
