Ya...but why would Marrone spread out the offense on 3rd and short when he can have 7 men on the line and bring a WR in motion forcing the D to have 8 in the box and then let our running back try to run thru 16 large men?
Only good teams like the Pats, Green Bay,and Denver spread out on third and short and succeed. Saint Doug prefers to be .500 and be self proclaimed Saint Doug for working miracles at Syracuse for being .500.
I guess Saint Doug believes with this pro bowl defense he has created another miracle going 8-8? So, now he can move on elsewhere?
I hear you. But, he has had 3 PFs this year vs 10+ sacks. He gets to the QB AND seals the edge running. His pros way out weigh the con's and he can improve on the penalties.
You can't prod cattle, but, you can tame a tiger!!
If the price tag is good resign him. Even if it is above what he is worth. $10 or $11 million a year MAY be worth it?
Really?! Are bored because your fantasy football team has been eliminated?
What he is making now has nothing to do with what he will sign for. He will probably go for $8 million a year. I would be fine with that based on our current roster. But OK if we don't too.
If an ACL is torn there is nothing left to tear and not much pain compared to a partially torn ACL which hurts a lot and can be torn worse. FYI. However, yes, extremely impressive he played! He also played very well and the whole game!
Sort of disagree. What would you consider the highest bidder? Total dollars or guaranteed money?
Let's say someone offers him 4 years for $52 million and $20 guaranteed ($13/year average) and we offered him $40 and $20 guaranteed ($10/year average) I think we stand a chance. Reason being as long as the guaranteed is the same. The chances of Hughes producing less on a different team is better and thusly the chances of being cut because he is being paid $13 to get 6.5 sacks in three years vs getting paid $10 for 10 sacks. The point being he has a better chance at receiving more money overall in the Bills signing situation and still gets the same guaranteed.
We will see.
2008 is closer to a decade away than one year.
After every score. Safety too! But, when was the last time we scored a safety at home?
Kidding aside, did they play the "Shout Song" after the 4th quarter safety?
Huh?
Soooo, what happens when we miss the PAT, I don't remember that?
This is a long list and I am going to work from it and lump all options together (being trade and FA)............on this list the QBs I would be OKAY with are (in no particular order)...
Ryan Mallet
Matt Moore
Nick Foles
Jake Locker
Sam Bradford
Colin Kaepernick
Mark Sanchez
and the trade options mentioned above (but I don't think they will be available)
Spiller will not cost that much being $4.5/year and a total of $20 over 4 years. And, if he does, it is not that expensive. It lines up with many return men that also play a position. Leodis makes more and his contract was justified and sold as a return man and 3rd CB.
Whaley is extremely good and will get better! He has had some misses, but, all GMs do. The hits he has made are great and the roster...overall...is getting strong!
Disagree...he run good routes and has great hands. His two issues are injuries and not being used.
TJ was not the better player. He could not run routes or catch. He jumped to catch 75% of balls thrown to him...even the ones in his chest. He was a track star....Goodwin is a football player.
Exactly!
