  1. I agree. I want a Guard in the 2 nd. If there is a great TE there maybe also. You can get a G in the second to start right away. I would prefer that over a FA Guard retread or over paying one at the end of their career. I think this team is built for now (hopefully we get a new coach...at least a new OC). Get a FA QB...draft a Guard in the second. And spend some money in free agency. Strongly hopeful to resign Hughes too.
  2. If idiots are being banned...can we ban Marrone from attempting to coach?
  3. Hoyer is 29. I would prefer Boyer over Cutler regardless. And I wouldn't want Cutler for anything that would be possible. I lived in Chicago for 18 years. Most of the Cutler time beside 1.5 seasons. He is terrible as a person, leader and not clutch. He is a man child. The only way I would take him is on a 2 year deal in free agency. That won't happen.
  4. I don't think Gruden or Cowher will coach again! I think Marrone is terrible and a damn liar who doesn't follow thru on anything he says. Also...I think the Bills are a very desirable destination for a coach! The roster is very strong needing a QB and a Guard...two Guards would be great. No first round pick and no QB are the only reasons a coach would worry. But not deal breakers. Pegula has money to spend and the franchise is now stable. Lots of coaches do well without a premier QB for example most recently...Arian's in Arizona, Reid in KC, Kelly in Philly, Rex Ryan a couple years ago with the Jets, Pettine in Cleveland, and Miami...everyone in week two and previous years said Tannehill was crap. So a premiere QB isn't necessary to get a good coach...it helps. But, I think the Buffalo situation with the stability, money, talent, top 5 defense and tons of high round talent, cap room and players in their prime is a desired destination. We will have to wait and see if top talent or proven HCs want to come here when the HC position is open. Hopefully we find out this off season! The future is bright with this team and also hope Whaley is apart of it. He has done soooo many things well to great! Not securing a QB or a back up plan is an error....but not all new GMs do everything right the first time. He will fix the QB issue and learn from it. Go Bills! What is the difference between Reid and KC and the Bills. There are other Alex Smith's to be had. Buffalo is set up to go from dog house to playoffs. Lots of coaches...I think...will be interested! It seems similar to St. Louis in 1999 too!
  5. Per Pegula Brandon is jot in charge of football operations. Whaley reports directly to Pegula at this point.
  6. So....you think we should have EJ Manuel, Kyle Orton, Johnny Football, Sam Bradford, and a drafted QB?! That seems a little excessive and expensive towards the cap and lacking even more drafts picks. Pretty much guaranteeing we have one draft pick in the first four rounds and we use that on a QB. Then cut 3 of those QBs after camp? I do not agree with that approach.
  7. 9 for Marrone 10 for Hackett
  8. I very rarely poke fun at spelling or grammar on TBD. But, the error is in the title, common' man!
  9. I don't think Whaley would cut anyone he believes in b.c Marrone won't play them....especially if Whaley thinks about bringing in a different coach next year.
  10. I agree with everything except Marrone is a good coach however I think he and the staff had a good game yesterday.
  11. I would totally agree! They could have and should have called that. Besides that the refs did pretty darn good for the game. And WE blew the game ourselves. We pissed it away. A call on hitting Hogan out of bounds would have gave us a first down and another chance.
  12. Didn't the Bills think Hardy was unstable when between the draft and his rookie season he shot his dad! I am usually quite aware of many prospects coming out of College and research before the draft. I didn't look at Safeties much the year Ngata was drafted. I thought Ngata might fall to us. I would have been pleased with Bunkley at DT too that year. But, when they call Whitner....I really had no clue who he was!
  13. I hope the folks saying they are happy with Byrd's replacements from within are the same ones not saying they can't believe we did not go out and replace Levitre FA when he left. You can't have both and sometimes there are not perfect people....just perfect intentions. But believing you are the winning arm chair GM in hindsight is silly....that is for all loving A. Williams and hating on Byrd, Levitre and 4 failed LGs. For the record I would have been fi e with paying Byrd $8/year and Levitre $7....in hindsight.....would have really liked paying Levitre $7 and not paying Byrd.
  14. I would trade Pears to New England for Brady, BUT, only if they promised to play him at Guard!!
  15. If we knock on Wood he may get hurt?!
  16. My top 3 in that order too. Aaron Williams could be a bad loss too for an period of time.
  17. I think the Guards are making Wood worse AND his run block is average or possibly below average. The old regime scheme and coaching made Wood look better than he was too. However.....there are bigger issues than Wood at this point and probably next year too. I think the Guards are making Wood worse AND his run block is average or possibly below average.
