I think it will be hard to build thru the draft for Rex's D and have immediate success.

Please don't ever suggest a WR is good because they can throw the ball. And, I know you are not, but, why bring it up...it is just silly.

I don't like Rex. But, since he is staying I agree and think this may help him be more of a HC. So, he can focus on everything and not just his defense. He needs to focus on everything better.

Agreed. And, he could of/should have hurt himself so many more times. He needs to change his technique for his own sake. Good point. I really like Gilmore, but, very solid point!! I would NEVER have considered this, but, if he wants north of $13 M a year I would start to consider this. I don't think any CB is worth more than $11 M. However, two things to consider. Rex needs great CBs. And, CBs career spans or at least elite status is a smaller window than almost any position.

I hate Simms. For Nantz, I personally give him a pass on everything for his annual Master's performances. Seriously, I am not just saying that. I have heard him do okay, average or other performances and I think about it and say "its fine based on Nantz's awesome Master's showings". He could never disappoint me!! Once again, Simms blows!! I like Collingsworth. I can deal with Gruden in short doses, but, mostly because Gruden teaches me things I don't know or understand.

When drafted I thought he had upside too. I believe he was a 4 th round pick. It was a good shot for a 4 th round pick. It just didn't work out. IMO it was a good pick and we tried for four years. You win some lose some. Go Bills!! Agreed, I remember that. It was a good try.

Yes! Agree!! It is just factual, there is only 24 hours on a day, 7 days in a week and 52 weeks a year. And, Rex doesn't use the time wisely at all! So, UNLESS he is sooo much better than the other coaches he is coaching against OR changes his time management he will lose more than he wins in any given season. Or luck plays a large part randomly we can't win. Rex's only two winning seasons were his first two. Then he thought he was a celebrity before he was a coach. Unless that changes...insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results.... He will not be successful with consistency. I don't think Rex or his ego can change. I hope I am wrong!! If he spent 10 hours less a week being clown or blow hard or picking captains or saying Thurman is a HC candidate or working the media, yada yada, yada and spent it on game planning that is the difference between a score on O or D....that is the difference between winning or losing weekly. Rex doesn't get it or doesn't care. Unable? Unwilling? Or unemployed!? His ego stops him from doing his job. Walk the walk. Don't talk the talk.

Brooks had promise for for years and NEVER did anything. What is the disappointment? Agreed Agreed I think his NFL days are done. He is poor on STs and those spots are mostly for developing rookie contract players. IMO if he gets picked up it will be mid season next year when a team in hammered with injuries.

Daryl Washington could be solid risk vs reward. IMO I don't think Gordon will be available for cheap if at all, so, probably not good risk vs reward. I am a fan of reclamation projects with the right support system. As much as Richie worked out for us....my guess it was more Richie had his head on straight than the support system. Although it was a good support system too.

Yep and the players need to help the bad cop too. Bad cops can ALSO have respect while holding players accountable. I believe Pepper Johnson did both. Just a hunch, but, feel strongly about it.

He may or may not be the ideal cap hit, but, that is what you do in FA....over spend. He is slightly over paid it is how you pry players away from other teams and lure them. That is why you can't build thru FA. You can take a shot here and there, but, it needs to be for the right player. I think Whaley and the Bills did it for the right player.
