Even when the Bills are on offense, they just can't help but show Mahomes throwing the ball..... -

There should have been 1 second left there. Should have had a kick or shot there. -

Come on..... You can't have Klein on Kelce. You can't run that defense. Just awful coaching there. -
Matt Milano #hammywatch - update - officially off the injury report
sven233 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
This is an important game, but make no mistake about it, win or lose, beating them in the Playoffs if we match up with them there is way more important. If he can't be out there in a regular role because he's hurt, it just isn't worth it. Get him back to 100% and worry about the long term. It will definitely hurt if we lose this game, as it does with every loss, but this entire season is about 1 thing......winning the Super Bowl. There is no need to risk a long term injury to one of our best players this early in the season no matter how much you want to win this game. Heck, with our Bye coming up, I wouldn't rush him back in there next week either. -
One thing that has been missing from our offense for a while are Allen scrambles. I'm not talking designed runs, but rather him just pulling the ball down and taking off. Obviously, I would rather him keep his eyes downfield and look to make big plays, but there are a few times in each game, especially on 3rd downs and in short yardage situations where there are lanes available for him to take off, potentially get a first down, but sometimes he tries forcing passes. Some he completes, some he doesn't. I am a big proponent of keeping the chains moving as much as possible because it gives us more opportunities to hit big plays. He used to do it a lot, and I don't need him to do it at that level he used to because he is better throwing the ball than he used to be, but one thing it did was keep defenses honest and force them to pay attention to it. I think if he got back to doing it 3 or 4 times a game, it really help our offense.

It's been against bad teams so far, but when you're a good team, you're supposed to dominate bad teams and we have so far. The next couple weeks will be a much better gauge to see where we are at. As good as this defense has been, they haven't been able to stop the Chiefs at all the last couple years. The thing is, I am actually more concerned about the coaching against the Chiefs than the actual players. The last couple of game plans have been awful against their skilled players and until they can actually do it against the Chiefs, the questions will always remain. For me, it's pretty simple......I'm bracketing Kelsey and Hill and forcing their other players to beat us. If they can do it, more power to them, but I am not letting those guys do it.

Please start Spencer Brown for the rest of the season ASAP
sven233 replied to Protocal69's topic in The Stadium Wall
All week this is what I wanted to happen. I wanted Brown at RT and Williams at G. To me, it's about getting your best 5 on the field and Brown has been playing like one of the best 5 in the opportunities he's had. I am not sure Williams will be a great G, but I think he will be a big upgrade over Ford who I have thought was a terrible pick from the beginning. I think if you give Brown and Williams a few games together, they will settle in a bit. Mongo isn't the greatest, and I wish we could upgrade that G spot as well, but he's serviceable for now, I guess. But, if I'm Beane, I'm trying to trade for a G to upgrade the line. But, for this game, I was happy to see the put Brown on the field and I hope they continue to do so with Williams inside to see if they can get that side solidified. -
At this point, the biggest thing I want Beane to be doing is finding upgrades on the offensive line. Even though I am not a fan of Levi, the defense has been good and, if they can play like they are against good teams and good QBs, they will be good enough to win a Super Bowl with. The O-Line, especially at G, are our weakest link at this point and may be the thing that keeps us from winning the whole thing. Mongo and Ford, as much as I don't want to say it, are not good enough, especially when facing good interior lineman. They are serviceable enough to get by against bad teams, but we've already seen on multiple occasions that teams can wreck our offense, no matter how good we are everywhere else, with interior pressure. We're good enough to win the Super Bowl this year. Not a doubt in my mind. I'd just hate for everything to go to waste because we can't give Allen time to throw and give him pressure in his face as soon as the ball is snapped when it counts the most. I want Beane to be exploring the trade market for at least 1 really good guard. There are going to be some teams out of the running sooner than later and if we have a chance to pluck a guard that is a huge upgrade, I want to be doing that ASAP. Draft picks are nice, but this team should be going all in to win the Super Bowl this year.

What happens if Tua Doesn’t Get Hurt?
sven233 replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I honestly believe the Bills would have had a shot at the all time sack record for a game if Tua stayed in. I think eventually he would have been out of the game no matter how you slice it.......wither by another injury or by being pulled. The game would have been more lopsided. -
My Opinion why we lost vs pittsburgh
sven233 replied to steven50's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
There are a lot of things you can point to as the reason we lost this game. But, honestly, I think you're overthinking it if you go too far beyond the LOS. It's been proven time and time again that no matter how good an offense is, if you can get pressure with only 4 (sometimes it was only 3 yesterday), and can stop the run with that same 4 more often than not while dropping everyone else into coverage, you can stop virtually any offense. It happened to the Cheats in the Super Bowls against the Giants and the Chiefs just last year against the Bucs. It's what every defense aspires to be able to do. It's what we're trying to do on defense as well. The problem is, not many teams can do it week in and week out. But, yesterday, the Steelers manhandled our O-Line and got pressure all day with 4 and sometimes 3. I don't care how good your WRs are because if there is 7-8 men back in coverage, the 3 or 4 WRs in a pattern aren't going to find much room to work, especially in 2-3 seconds. The only way to combat that is to be able to run the ball effectively and get them to have to leave some LBs up close to the LOS to help the line and the Steelers D-Line was just too much for our offensive line to move yesterday even if it was 5 on 4 or 5 on 3 yesterday. Yes, there were bad play calls. Yes, there were drops, Yes, Allen wasn't as sharp as he could have been yesterday. Yes, the coaching was terrible at times. There were a lot of things wrong with yesterday, but not being able to block their front 3 or 4 consistently all day was the primary reason for it. -
What I did and didn't like vs Steelers
sven233 replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yup. It's a talent issue for sure. They aren't good enough there so it's about finding an answer. Since there isn't a good idea out there on the streets, and a trade most likely difficult and unlikely right now, the Williams move may be the only card we will have to play because the players we have aren't talented enough at that position. -

sven233 replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Our G play was atrocious today. While I am not ready to pull the trigger in this yet, if the awful play continues, I am slipping Williams inside to G and I'm letting Brown work at RT. I think he is one of our best 5 lineman and should be on the field, but he's too tall to play inside. I think Williams could do real well at RG and I would be banking on Brown's natural ability and athleticism to pick up the NFL speed sooner than later. Again, I am not ready to do it yet, but if our guards continue to get manhandled up front, I will be ready to try this. -

Why did it look like Haack took forever to try and kick that? Timing is off everywhere today. Outside of the defense, this team has been awful today. -
