  1. Hoping for a wardrobe malfunction....
  2. Yes...In previous years Hoodie would go for it here on 4th down just to embarrass the other team.
  3. ass kissing of Patriots by announcers in its finest order.....that was a touchdown. no doubt about it...
  4. Nobody said he didn't have a good game. I said he needs to play better based on his salary. He is paid 2x as much as Kyle Williams. 3x as much as Darius. and 8x more than hughes. He got one sack today. Yes he played good. He needs to be a difference ,maker though in games where it matters. That is all I am saying. He is not being a difference maker in these games. I am glad he is on this team. I just want him to play at a level commensurate with his pay compared to the guys he plays alongside of.
  5. Why wasn't hoodie charged a timeout for that unchallengable play?
  6. Ugly win but a win. Can't believe that defense got that much pressure without Kyle Williams and without blitzing. Impressive. Mario needs to play better though considering how much money he is being paid. If it was wintertime, I would want to throw snowballs at Hackett the next time they try to run spiller between the tackles. Thank god their kicker sucks.
  7. I think it would be more ideal if Orton turned out to be a great late career quarterback like Rich Gannon or Brad Johnson. I don't want EJ back unless he plays like an above average quarterback or unless Orton proves to suck even worse. But we need better QB play than we have gotten the last couple years. They gotta find a way.
  8. Agree 100%. The only way a person would have any respect at all for Kolb is if they never watched him play prior to coming to Buffalo. Anyone who saw him play already knew that he sucked beyond belief. A lot of his games were just like EJ's game last week. Yep. That bad. You want some more of that? Signing Kolb was a stop gap because Nix effed up the Fitz situation. It was a FUBAR of epic proportions. There is NO WAY IN HELL that Whaley and Nix honestly thought Kolb was good for anything other than a backup. And barely good enough for that. Seriously. If you people only saw him play you would agree. He should not have even been in the NFL last year in my opinion. He fooled everyone. I don't think he even wanted to start. I think he came here perfectly content to sit the bench and collect his overly generous paycheck. He got exactly what he wanted.
  9. In Ej's defense you could tell that the coaches were treating him as if he was still in college. It was like they had a freshman QB and were trying to groom him to be good in a couple years. Last year he was "just playing". This year it was like he was a puppet being controlled from the sidelines. You could tell that was the case because they had him running out of bounds on 3rd down short of the first down instead of letting him sell his body for the first down. I bet if he was thrown into a similar situation that Thad was last year when he came to the Bills, then I think we might see a totally different EJ. He would have to just play and try to win and stop trying to learn how to perfectly execute specific plays. Under the right situation he would probably be a pretty exciting quarterback to watch.
  10. I gotta disagree with you about the Chiefs. That looked like the real deal to me last night. Very precise, very well executed football. After seeing the Patriots take a step back I can see why people might want to believe this is the year it all changes with them. But I will believe it when I see it. The Bills need to beat the Patriots once before I will say they have a shot at beating them twice. And most years we don't beat them at all. The trend is your friend.
  11. Does anyone really think we will beat the Chiefs after watching them destroy the Patriots last night? And we are going to beat New England twice? Green Bay? Even Minnesota? I don't think so. I hope you are right, but I don't see it.
  12. I would take the Bills if they were giving us 7.5 for this game in Buffalo. Unfortunately it is not in Buffalo. So....No...
  13. Hind sight being 20/20, it is too bad that the Bills didn't have Orton here last year instead of Kolb. We might have won a few more games last year, drafted differently this year, still had a first round pick next year and still be fixing EJ's basic skills so he might actually be a quality starter at some point. Or Orton might have tripped over a curb late at night after drinking too much Jack Daniels and ended up like Kolb anyway......
  14. Any players that get cut from this team are going to be given jobs fracking for gas. It is the new Buffalo Bills incentive program. Even when you get fired, you're never unemployed.
  15. No on the broker thing. Independently wealthy broke business owner/investor with an incurable addiction to the Bills. Yes on the fondness for technical analysis and momentum indicators. ETF's more so than individual stocks.
  16. I could tell you but I would have to kill you. And I don't like to kill more people than I get paid for have to. I comment on this board for a living.
  17. Nice.....But I think you are mistaken. EJ appears to be more like Enron rather than Facebook. If you bet your life savings on him, you will likely end up broke.
  18. Keep dreaming. It is going to be a hand off to CJ for 2 yards up the middle. And you know it. This coaching staff is not that aggressive. They expect every drive to take 20 plays to score instead of trying to score on every play. Those long sideline bombs on the first play of the game are some of my fondest memories of the early 90's era. Man that was fun.
  19. Your idea of locking up EJ now because he is cheap is a lot like buying a stock because it is cheap. If you do that, more times than not, you will get burned. Contrary to common folk lore, you don't buy low and sell high. You buy on the way up because the trend is up. You buy high and sell higher. Just try not to over pay like they did for Fitzpatrick. Stocks get really cheap right before the company goes out of business. If you are serious about this, then I have a few penny stocks I would like to sell you. How about you take 20% out of your 401k and buy them from me?
  20. You're right. Nobody has come out and said those exact words yet. But the picture they paint makes it sound like that is what they are thinking. Here are just a few things people here have said here in the last 24 hours. The offensive line is going to look better now. Our start players on offense are now going to have more YAC. Orton throws a nice touch on anything 20 yards or shorter. Marrone is now a genius where before he was a buffoon. Orton is as good as Fitz...no wait..he is better than Fitz.... Bills now have a legit shot at winning the division and therefore get to the playoffs. And now they can do this with only 9 wins. Yadda....yadda....yadda.... Sounds like people think the season is saved and the Bills are a lock for the playoffs.... I like the optimism. But, I want to see the guy play a game first with the rest of this Bills roster. Then at least I will have some concrete evidence on whether he is better or not and whether he should be starting a team or not. He lost his starting position to Tebow for Christ's sake. How good do you really expect him to be. He couldn't beat Tebow who sucks beyond imagination. It is entirely possible that Orton will come out and get the team beat badly this Sunday. Just like what would probably happen if EJ was starting this weekend.
  21. I love how so many people on here are talking about Orton's skills as if they are experts on Orton and know everything about him. Yeah, I saw him play some games too. Mostly in Denver and Chicago. He was less than impressive in both places. Don't recall seeing him play in Dallas. Anyway....I wouldn't be counting all my chickens just yet if you know what I mean. The guy hasn't played one game for the Bills yet and people are acting like he already saved the season. That is laughable. I want to see the guy play first. If he smokes Detroit I will be impressed. But, I am not holding my breath. I am worried about every game from here on out unless Orton looks much better than what I remember. Here is to hoping that happens.
  22. Dude...come on man.... It is part of the game.....It isn't anybody faking anything or pretending anything. This is a copycat league. When someone finds something new that works, other teams/players/coaches start doing it. For example, when JJ Watt started swatting down a disproportionate number of passes last year, other defensive linemen and defensive coordinators started focusing on trying to do more of that too. When one team started running the Wildcat - others copied it. Notice how several teams are experimenting with an up-tempo offense. There are many examples. Multiple QB's use Omaha. Multiple QB's point fingers. Multiple QB's use the word "kill" to signal an audible.
  23. I think it sucks whether it is considered a road game or home game, obviously more so if it is a home game. I hate that they want to expand the NFL to the rest of the world. It is just distracting. This is an American sport. I don't mind it in the preseason at all. That is fine. But don't make teams travel over friggin seas to play during the regular season. What a waste....
  24. I don't feel bad for EJ as a football player. I think that if he really wanted to be the best, truly and deeply in his heart, then he would find a way to be the best. If he can't then he either doesn't care enough or he simply isn't talented enough. Whatever the reason is, who cares? He can either learn to perform the job better than his competition or else lose his job. So far he can't really outplay the competition. That is all on him. He was put in a position to excel and he failed. It is primarily his own fault. Therefore there really is no reason to feel sorry for him. There are plenty of good kids who want to play in the NFL. Most don't get the chance that EJ did.
  25. Useless comparison as those stats are for quarterback play on two entirely different teams. Let's see what Orton's completion percentage is after a few games with this Bills team. I don't know if he will be more accurate or not, but your comparison isn't legit at all.
