  1. San Diego is a good team on offense no doubt. But the Bills secondary didn't show up like they should have today....Embarrassing...Gilmore flat out sucked. The score could have been a lot worse. San Diego took it easy on us late in the game. They could have put up one or two more TD's in my opinion. Of course the penalties sure helped them when throwing deep. Wonder why the Bills didn't do more of that.....
  2. Yeah Hackett has improved....at least he didn't call a bull **** running play to a running back up the middle on the first play from scrimmage.....oh wait....maybe he did.......gimme a break Hackett.....does he do this just so we can make fun of him? wtf???? First possession of this game = failure = fully on the shoulders of dumbass Hackett......thought he was getting better....not so much....pissed..
  3. I'm not reading all the previous conversations in this thread cuz its a mile long. Today EJ= sucked! Schwartz = Sucked!
  4. Dean Dude.. you have to see the gates. There are more lines for people to enter. Not less. They may have combined gates, but the new gates are wider with more lanes for people to enter through. Traffic flows faster because the gates are wider with more lanes. You have to see it. It is not how you are imagining. Gates are wide, really wide. The gate I went through is so wide you couldn't shout to someone from one side to the other. In previous years everyone was crammed into a handful of lanes. Now there are like 5x that amount in one gate or at least the gate I went through. In fact, they are wider than at any stadium I have ever been to. And I have been to a number of NFL stadiums. I can't think of any with gates as wide as the Bills. And inside the stadium was improved too. I used to have to snake down a set of stairs packed with slow moving traffic to get to the main walkway in the stadium. Now it is like six steps. It took me a small fraction of time to get to my seats compared to previous years. Maybe parts of the stadium are effed up, but the section I have entered through for years is 10x better than it ever was.
  5. Not sure what the gate number was that I entered through. It was on the visitor's side of the stadium about 1/2 way between end zones. Foot traffic flowed very quickly. We spent less than 2 minutes in line. Got right in. We headed in about 12:20 to make the Ralph tribute. I thought they handled that crowd far better at this game than they had in previous years. Nope... If you experienced the improvements, you would disagree with what you are saying. The gates are better. Traffic flowed much faster than last year. at least in the gate I entered it did. Way way better than last year.
  6. Mine and the guys I go to games with. Just because some guys don't care that they are there, it doesn't mean that no one cares that they aren't there. I think the game is better with them. It is a fine tradition that I hope stays.
  7. Yes you are correct. It seems a lot of people missed that fact. Sammy was open by design and it was an illegal play. He won't be that open too often going forward unless he creates that space using his own talent. You can bet that the refs will be watching Buffalo for these type of pick plays considering that they got away with it more than once. When the referees review this game, they will make a note that they need to watch Buffalo for this next week. Sammy did score on his individual effort going for the pylon. No doubt the dude is highly skilled and plays big with great effort.
  8. That moment is going down as one of the all time great moments for me as a Bills fan. That moment was worth the price of tickets alone. Years from now we will be saying "Remember when...."
  9. I agree with your point for the reasons you stated. Stats are very, very misleading at times. I look at each possession as like a small football game. The goal of the offense is to score a touchdown in that possession. Or if not, then try to get 3. Or if not then try to at least put the other team in bad field position. The goal of the defense is obviously to stop the other team from scoring anything and to put their offense in the best field position as possible. Stats generally don’t show you things like how easily a team could execute their plays or how well a defense killed drives on the opponent. They don’t account for when a defense switches into prevent mode. They don’t account for when an offense tries to run the clock out in the fourth quarter. They don’t account for a lot of things that tell you which team really played better.
  10. Yes. In my opinion it is not even close. It is a touchdown every time. The ball is in his control when it hits the pylon. The pylon can't cause a fumble because it is part of the end zone. That is a touchdown without question.
  11. He says Goodell made him do it....And based on some threads here.....some fans agree that it is all Goodell's fault. In fact, Rice was channeling Goodell when he laid the wood to his girlfriend............wait..........that came out wrong....
  12. Sullivan is like a lot of these sports writers..... He is just bad at his job....Not interesting to read....You learn nothing new from reading his take....Honestly just bad at his job... If he had any other skills at all, he would do something besides sports writing....sad but true......maybe he could be a waiter? No offense intended to any restaurant staff....sorry...
  13. A tribute to Dixon? Schwing!
  14. Ummm...... The Bears don't look good because they got beat by the lowly Bills last week. The Bills team that still gets no respect. If we played them again next week, Bears fans would be astonished if they didn't win 50 to 10. They are licking their wounds and wondering if they are a really, really bad team after not easily man handling the Bills last week. That is the effect our team has on people. The Dolphins fans are likewise second guessing whether their team is worthless or not. Nobody respects the Bills. The Bears have a high powered offense. They just don't Billieve!
  15. True dat! I don't see that happening. He is big and clunky. He will never be a clutch "receiver" type of tight end in my opinion. He is not as good as Chandler even with Chandler's drops.
  16. It was nice to see Miami fans hanging their heads low all day... No smack talk out of them.... Most did the walk of shame all day long... So sorry for those Dolfans who made the trek from Miami....sorry about your luck guys....hope you enjoyed your chicken wings!.. Man it feels good to beat up on Miami. It never gets old. I guess it wasn't really Thad who was the Dolphin killer. Anybody can stick a harpoon in that porpoise.
  17. Hey Tannehill........So much for your superstar! Top 5 my ass!......... he's a snoozer....nice game chump....Bills got your number! woop! woop!
  18. There are people picking the Bills. Here is a good rundown - http://nflpickwatch.com/
  19. Exactly what I was thinking. The coaches are trying to protect a lead and avoid big turnovers. Sometimes that works and sometimes you end up not scoring on a drive that you might have otherwised scored on because you were too conservative. You really can't expect the Bills to blow anyone out unless it happens solely based on the running game. The coaches simply won't be that aggressive once they have the lead. Maybe that changes once EJ proves himself to be a consistently good player.
  20. Man that seemed like it was going to be a great interview. Now if only I could understand McKelvin's weird accent.
  21. When Miami comes out of the tunnel on Sunday and feels the power in that stadium they will crap themselves. They will think “What the hell did we just walk into?” “This feels like a playoff game atmosphere!” That is when they will realize that they aren't really prepared for what is about to happen to them. Jumbotron flashes up an old clip of Bruce Smith shaking his head yes, smiling, saying - “Feel The Power!” Bills fans help their team win the momentum at crucial points in this game. Fins are never really able to get it going. Fins last drive in the game ends on an embarrassing Tannehill sack fumble caused by Mario Williams. EJ & other various Bills team players run around the outskirts of the field saluting the fans and enjoying a bonding moment of “Man… Today is a good day to be from Buffalo and a great day to be a Buffalo Bill!” Fans get that quivering feeling in their gut that maybe, just maybe, we end this playoff drought this year. It’s a beat down. Bills 23 - Dolphins 6
  22. Call it whatever you want. Dude gave up a big play = not good. I somewhat disagree. For starters, analyzing a player by first taking away their worst play of a game is not logical. Every time the Bills lose a game by one score or less you could just say, well the Bills win if you take away this one play. You have to count the good and the bad together. Brown is the weakest link among starting linebackers for the Bills right now. He is not horrible. But he didn't play well enough last week to be a consistent starter in the NFL. He needs to be better than that. He should get better with more experience and will probably be good one day. But he didn't play well against the Bears in my personal opinion. Expect the Dolphins to try to exploit the rookie and get him to make mistakes. Maybe he plays better this week. Maybe not. Whaley seems to think Brown is going to be great. So I trust that Brown will play better as the season progresses much as I expect EJ to continue getting better as the season progresses.
  23. I'm not worried about it either. Wake had a good game against a different team. Now he is some kind of superstar? Never worried much about him before. Not going to start now. If he starts getting a lot of penetration and pressure, then run the ball through the gap he creates or run screens to his side. Let him chase from behind.
  24. Dude... If you are trying to make a case for Tebow based on his passing ability, then you are fighting a losing battle. Tebow doesn't throw a good long ball. In fact, he doesn't throw a good any ball. The guy completed less than 48% of his passes. That stat alone means he sucks and is not good enough to play in the NFL period. This is primarily why nobody wants him. A QB has to be able to complete passes.
  25. Love seeing Steelers punch themselves in the head after a bad play. Wishing they would take their helmets off first though.
