  1. Darby will be glad to know that there are fans that will come out after a game he (completely sucked) in and still give him accolades. What Darby showed me in last night's first preseason game is that, if this was the regular season right now, the Bills would have a major problem on their hands with Leodis out. Teams will certainly pick on this guy repeatedly until his game play improves a lot. And so far by the looks of it, teams will be extremely successful picking on him. If teams keep getting big plays throwing the ball his way then the Bills will be forced to do something else there. I hope the guy succeeds and becomes great. I hadn't seen him play prior to last nights game. So based on what I saw, he isn't anywhere near as good as the hype has been about him.
  2. Everybody get off Walt Patulski's back. He did lead the Bills in sacks his rookie year by amassing a total of 5. And I bet he was pretty good at drinking beer.
  3. I don't think that the American flag analogy is a good one. It is misplaced. There is no comparison between football fandom and American pride. I can respect people who are fans of other football teams. I cannot respect Americans who are not fans of America and are not outwardly appreciative of all those who gave their lives so we could sit around and watch football in our spare time. Not trying to get political. Just saying...its not the same thing at all. Whoever told you that they think flying an American flag is some kind of competitive thing is a friggin tool.
  4. You summed up my opinion pretty much perfectly. I think it is funny how there are so many people who want everyone else to think they are somehow "bigger" fans than everyone else. I don't get that mentality and why it matters to them. If they want to think that and they need to wear costumes to make themselves feel like they are bigger fans than someone else, well, then so be it. I don't much care. Some of them make me laugh. Some of them are just a bit stale like old toast.
  5. Maybe it was incognito who yelled it while he was wearing a disguise so he was double incognito!
  6. I think a healthy Sammy Watkins and a somewhat improved offensive line might be enough improvement, even with these mediocre quarterbacks, to give the Bills the deep threat they need to open up the running game this year. And if that happens, with this defense proving their talent over the last two years, I think this could really be a breakout year for the Bills.
  7. My fear is that this offense ends up sucking even with the weapons. Here is how that could easily play out: - Buffalo Quarterback (whoever that ends up being) does not show the ability to beat opponents deep - either because the QB doesn't have the talent or because the coaching just doesn't give him the right opportunities to do it or because our offensive line still sucks more than we think. - Therefore opponents stack the box and cheat defenders to stop the run - Bills offensive line (although maybe improved somewhat) still does not have the physicality and cohesiveness to run the ball against a stacked D - The Bills can't run the ball effectively and have no deep threat (sound familiar?) - End results is lots of 3 and outs - lots of punts - lots of booing from the home crowd fans - defense wears down from excessive time on the field - Opposing offense eventually makes a big play against a pretty darn good Bills defense (give the other team too many possessions and they will eventually score TD's even against a good Bills Defense) - Season meanders with glimmers of hope but falls short of playoffs and actually has less wins than last year - Every fan still left scratching their heads saying "if only we had a quarterback???????" That scenario is a real possibility. I don't expect it to happen, but it is a fear that keeps creeping up on me when I try to be optimistic about this team. Does anyone else think this scenario is a real possibility?
  8. Given the NAZI like attitude of Bellichick and company, If this had happened to any other player other than Tom Brady, do you think that player would be cut from the Patriot's roster tomorrow?
  9. That game will have massive ratings regardless of whether Tom Brady is playing or not. There won't be much difference either way whether he is starting or not (in my opinion).
  10. One year suspension seems appropriate to me also. The right punishment should have been to conclude the investigation prior to the Superbowl and suspend him from the Superbowl. Then punish the team in this year's draft. The NFL effed up. The punishment should be much more severe than just a few game suspension. That gives him a chance to still potentially play in another Superbowl right away. With the Patriots history of cheating taken into consideration, anything less than a full year suspension from the league is a joke (in my opinion). How long has this ball deflation been going on anyway...
  11. Maybe he took the Colt's balls in the bathroom and pissed on them? Or maybe the dude's got a needle prick and he was in there humping the Patriots' balls cuz he has some kind of man crush on Brady. His repeated needle prick humping pumped some air out of those balls.
  12. Give me a break. If the gauge was off they would have already come out and said so. There is no doubt they already checked the gauge or gauges. It's not like they are going to be using old rusty gauges that they found laying in a damp corner of someone's basement. And a low pressure gauge being off by more than 10% is pretty ridiculous too. It is one of the least likely scenarios possible. I don't know what your hidden agenda is about this, but your ridiculous bias is obvious. If the Patriots weren't guilty, there is no way in hell the NFL would do this to them. And there is no way Goodell would do this to Kraft. It is not good for anyone to falsely accuse the Patriots. This story would have been quickly squashed if it wasn't true.
  13. The employee would also know that there was no camera in the bathroom. Perfect place to deflate balls in privacy in a building full of security cameras. I just had to "pee".
  14. They may take our lives. But they CANNOT TAKE OUR FREEDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!
  15. Another member of the syndicate pops his head up and announces his presence. So, Mr. Kraft....tell me about your relationship with the ball boy..... It would be great to put all these guys on a polygraph.
  16. Even if they think they know who deflated them because of video evidence or whatever, they could still be trying to determine with certainty who else was in on it. If the evidence ends up pointing at Tom Brady or Bill Belichick, which it likely does, then they aren't going to rush any release of information unless they are absolutely certain they have the indisputable truth. The release of condemning evidence could very well ruin the career of that person. They have to be very careful.
  17. Yes. Basically it was like a poorly run sting operation. They suspected that the Patriots were cheating by somehow underinflating the balls. The refs checked at halftime and found their suspicion was proven true. But, thus far it appears they have failed to nail the exact person responsible for the crime. Watch from this point forward, the Patriots' balls will be magically perfectly inflated for every game regardless of whether it is 80 degrees or zero degrees at kickoff. As far as I a concerned, it is impossible that Brady did not know the balls were under-inflated. He is guilty for sure. Would he and some other equipment handler pull that off repeatedly without the knowledge of Belichick? Very unlikely.... Suspend them both. Easy peasy...Both suspended from Superbowl. Both suspended for at least one year from all NFL operations. Heavy multi-year fine imposed on the organization along with loss of draft picks. Everyone happy except Patriot fans...boo hoo
  18. Basically you are speechless now that you realize that defending the Patriots in the face of obvious guilt is just stupid.
  19. If the Patriots supposedly want the balls inflated to 12.5lbs wouldn't they deliver them to the ref that way already so that the ref didn't have to do anything to the balls at all. Wouldn't that make it more likely that the balls would end up with the inflation that the Pats actually wanted? Asking the refs to inflate the balls to 12.5 lbs implies that the balls are underinflated when delivered to the ref in the first place, which I would consider cheating right there. Hopefully going forward from here, teams are never allowed to choose the balls and bring their own balls anymore. What a ridiculous system anyway....the balls should be delivered game day and selected by the ref right then.
  20. I agree with you punishments of the fine and loss of picks. Make it a large multi-million-dollar fine which repeats for the next 5 years to keep reminding them of the consequences of cheating. The suspensions should be longer. Brady should be suspended for the Superbowl plus the entire next season. Belichick should receive a minimum of 2 year suspension with serious consideration given to kicking him out of the league permanently. Repeat cheating even after being punished for it once? Come on. Why is this guy allowed in the NFL at all at this point?
  21. I wish there was a stronger movement in place to organize a boycott of the Superbowl if the NFL chooses not to act commensurately to punish the Patriots. It would hit the NFL where it hurts it the most - in the pocketbook. Advertisers would bring heat against the NFL. NBC would bring heat against the NFL. Black eye on the Patriots organization and Bellichick in particular would be made bigger. The guy should be suspended from the Superbowl and for the next 2 years from the NFL in its entirety.
  22. Well if Manning does retire, how awesome would it be to hire him as a quarterback coach?
  23. What if EJ became a slightly above average quarterback this year? Would that be okay?
  24. HEY REX! Pea coats are for chicks! Come on man.
  25. Maybe those big ass headphones he wears turned his already feeble mind to complete mush. Kaepernick chokes more often than Fitzpatrick. He would throw as many picks as Fitz except the passes are so bad even the defense can't catch em'. His athletic legs make him just exciting enough for him to keep a friggin job. Dude sucks long term. He will be a backup qb in 2 years. No thanks. 10x rather play EJ than that schmuck.
