  1. Wait.... I thought people here said that Robert Woods was the trade bait?
  2. Perhaps they are. In my mind that is a really low percentage probability. It is too close to the season opener for me to believe that unless the competition in game day practices has been really close when the quarterbacks played with and against the ones. I think if he was really that close, then they would be giving equal practice time with the ones. I thought I heard he wasn't getting as many snaps as the other two guys were getting with the ones.
  3. Thanks. I thought I wasn't allowed to have one here unless I think this means EJ has won the starting job for week 1.
  4. Okay hypocrite. Open QB competition between all 3 - I think the decision in that open competition was made about a week ago. I doubt this changes anything. I suppose it is possible. But whoever they are thinking of starting right now would have to lay an egg and EJ would have to really play his best football.
  5. One thing that crossed my mind - when Rex said "Now nobody can say they didn't get a fair chance." Think about that. What does that say about what his mindset was about EJ when he made the decision to start him in this game? I have a feeling that EJ is going to have to "really impress" in order for it to change whatever fate Rex had in mind for him.
  6. If Manuel plays exceptionally well this Saturday, this thread is going to swell to about 100 pages deep.
  7. Well I guess these fans are going to get what they wished for. If he plays well as the starter, then Rex will have even more of a fanbase quarterback controversy on his hands. So be it.
  8. Line of the week! "You want someone who tickles your taint while talking about how awesome you are?" Hell yes man! Hell yes! As long as that someone is a she. And she is a hottie. Thanks for the chuckle man.
  9. Yes. Complaining to advertisers is dumb unless the show host is saying things to offend gay people or racist comments. Those are pretty much the only things that get's acted on these days. Otherwise, it simply helps the station prove their advertising works. The first time a company tells their WGR ad salesman that they are thinking about stopping their advertising because of complaints, any salesman worth his/her salt is going to tell the business owner/rep that the intention of the shows is to stir up controversy which gets people to tune in. It is the same reason that television news stations report the crap they report. Most of it is not really news and it certainly isn't useful. It is to elicit an emotional response in people which gets them addicted to the show. It is a conspiracy man! No not a conspiracy. It is just modern science applied to advertising. Every time someone comes on a forum like this and complains about WGR talk show hosts, it makes the talk show host more valuable to the station. So, I am sure Mike and everyone else being whined about are more than happy to have everyone hate them. Well, at least until someone kicks their ass in a bar or something. I bet they avoid bars. And probably mostly avoid the parking lot at the stadium before games.
  10. Food for thought... Can you imagine how many passes Watkins would be getting thrown his way if Fitz was QB of this Bills team right now? Sammy would think it was like practice with a JUGS machine and an autofeeder with a hopper full of footballs.
  11. Every NFL team has enough talent to make them tough to beat and every game has playoff implications. If the Bills manage to beat the Colts it will be an absolutely huge AFC win for them.
  12. No he isn't throwing touchdown passes. But he is throwing and throwing well. So, I don't see a reason to worry. His playing time has been very limited and his red zone playing time has been even more limited. So we don't know. Maybe he won't be a guy who can get it done in the red zone. That is a possibility. But, I am not worried about it at all. In fact, his play tells me that he will probably be one of the best at that skill even though he hasn't done it yet. The thing that gives Tyrod the edge over the other guys in my mind is the fact that he moves the chains well while still making you think "a big play is coming." That combination has been missing from the Buffalo Bills for many years. That is what I want. I would prefer that the guy gets that done 90% with his arm and only 10% with his legs. But, if he ends up using more legs than that, then I will take it, happily. Move the chains, step on the gas and score. That is the offense I want. Cassel gives me move the chains, take your foot off the gas, are we close enough to score. EJ gives me don't move the chains, occasionally hit a hot streak and score. Tyrod gives me move the chains, step on the gas, we're about to score. Again with regards to Tyrod, the sample size is very small. Therefore opinion is subject to change.
  13. Tyrod has proven to be effective "so far". That doesn't mean he won't fail. Maybe he will. He represents hope in the fan base. Because he has given us zero reason so far to doubt he has what it takes. It is just that his sample size is too small. Ej has proven what he is capable of if you take into consideration "every game he played as a Buffalo Bill" over his career. If you forget about his entire past and just look at this year's preseason games, in my opinion, he looks okay, not great. I don't think he is good enough at avoiding a pass rush and making a positive play on the same play. He has done it, but not often enough at all. He needs a nearly perfect pocket to play well through an entire series. That is why he looks so inconsistent in my opinion. If we forget about every quarterback's past and just look at their play in the two preseason games, then I would rank their performance as #1 TT, #2 Cassel and #3 EJ. But I base my opinion on being able to move the chains consistently in each drive. I know that other people don't care about that. Some people care about other things. I want an offense that can move the chains consistently in most drives that way they can step on the gas, get teams on their heels and then hit the big play. From what I have seen so far, TT is closer to being that guy than either of the other guys. What is so wrong about rooting for the quarterback I think is the best? I have said repeatedly that I (we) have a very small sample size for Tyrod. And based on that sample size, yes he looks like the best QB to me. That doesn't mean my opinion of him can't change after seeing another game or two from him. From what I have seen from EJ, he looks like he is not good enough. From what I have seen from Tyrod he looks like he is good enough, at least so far anyway. Time will tell. Some of you guys have some kind of hardon for EJ where unless every Bills fan wants to annoint him savior, you have an issue with it. EJ rides the pine unless he gets better. Still my take.
  14. Lame take Drama Queen! Tyrod hasn't proven himself to be a run first quarterback in the NFL. He does look like a guy who can avoid a pass rush 2 out of 3 times though. And still give you a chance to make a play either with his arm or yes, with his feet. Ideally you have an elite pocket passer on your team like Brady, P. Manning or Brees. Unfortunately we don't have one of those on our team. You have to play with the card you are dealt. With this hand, Tyrod Taylor is the Jack of Clubs and Clubs are trump. Booyah!
  15. Can we get Maury Povich or Sally Jessy Rapheal or Ricki Lake or Phil Donahue or Montel Williams or Jerry Springer or Geraldo Rivera to moderate this thread please? It saddens me that my fellow Americans care about these topics honestly.
  16. Care to tell us why you think he stinks?
  17. It's always hard bub. There are no gimme's or mulligans. Oh wait, the Bills do get 1 Mulligan this year.
  18. Awesome article. Thanks Yolo! I am getting so psyched for this season. More psyched than any year in recent history. Can you imagine how jacked up and psyched Ralph Wilson stadium will be on opening day if Tyrod Taylor comes out leading the charge? That place will be rockin with optimism! Win or lose, I guarantee that Taylor would make it exciting, which is more than I can say for Cassel. With Cassel, you just don't know. (Of course I am basing all my optimism in Taylor on a very, very limited exposure to seeing him play. But I can't help feeling very optimistic. Please let it finally happen.)
  19. That's my biggest concern too. Even if the pass rush is there, which I expect it to be with our defense, Luck can still beat you. I am hoping that our safeties lay some big hits Indy's receivers early in the game and keep them thinking they are going to get hit again. That should help. And we have to get a running game going to be able to move the chains and control the football. Indy will have a hard time racking up points if we keep their offense on the sideline. If we can run the ball, and I think we will do that successfully, then we can win this game. Otherwise, I am not confident.
  20. Is it really that much harder to add the "o" into the guy's name instead of calling him a TERD? If you like the guy, which it appears you do, why are you calling him a terd?
  21. Awesome video. Seems like he has awesome parents too. Looks like a winner to me. Let's see it on the field.
  22. If that was really his intent there, then he did a poor job of it. There are nicer ways to say it. I got sucked in with the first three paragraphs where it seemed pretty straightforward.. Then he ripped the Band-aid off. He can rip Fitz all he wants to. It is a free country. (well, sort of) But that piece just seemed filled with hate in between the lines. Why not just come out and say, "Just so you readers know...I hate Fitzpatrick and I think he sucks." You can tell that is what his opinion is. He just pretended to be politically correct for a few paragraphs before showing his true colors.
  23. I wonder how that list would have changed if it was a list of which quarterbacks can carry a team to a win more than once in a season when their defense plays poorly. Wouldn't that really bring out the best on the list? Rodgers P. Manning Brady Brees Okay maybe that is the elite list.
  24. I'm cool with that. It is a real possibility. I would rather have any quarterback, regardless of who it is, start the season and be great throughout the season so we can stop wondering how well some other quarterback might have been if he had played.
