  1. Step....away....from the crackpipe....slowly... No way the Bills head into next season counting on Ramses Barden. You have to draft another receiver with his skillset to compete. Not saying it's going to be Watkins or Evans, because personally i see them drafting OT in the first round. but 2nd or third they are going to take receiver.
  2. With Ralph now gone, at the moment the Bills future is not guaranteed in Buffalo past 2020. That may change, and I pray it does. But there is work to do and investors to be found. The Bills won't survive an 11th hour. We need a long term deal in place years before the lease expires, or whenever they are able to break it. Or else someone will swoop in.
  3. Watkins is being mocked top 5 these days, up from when he used to be mocked to the Bills. Shows they aren't big on Evans. OT with first pick a definite if this goes down. Doubt it though. He had attitude in Tenn and seemed like another Stevie Johnson in that area. Don't think the Bills want two of those.
  4. Getting Wilfolk in the middle would be a tremendous upgrade. Him and Kyle Williams would leave no room for other teams to run up the middle. As much as she is associated with Pepper Johnson I would imagine him wanting to play for a winner. But with Spikes and Johnson doubleteaming him I can see him signing a 1 year deal in Buffalo.
  5. I would think it would be a toss up between WR and OT as top need. Then FS, TE, OG, ILB (Spikes only one year)
  6. I would love to have Wilfork and Spikes up the middle
  7. Despite resigning Chandler (only two years) I think Whaley goes TE. Although they made it seem they are satisfied at that position, there are some athletes you cannot ignore.
  8. If anything I think they trade down and try to get extra picks in 2nd or 3rd round. But if Watkins is there it would be hard to pass up. The way the FA visits are rumored to be going so far, looks like the pick will either be OT, WR, or TE (although TE would be a trade down scenario to get more picks. Ebron isn't worth #9)
  9. Schwartz excelled at RT and LG, both positions the Bills need to fill. Sign'em up!
  10. I'm not 100% sold on Mack. I think the pick is too important to roll the dice on such a small school player.
  11. I think the Bills stick with Moeki and Chandler. Draft a TE in the middle rounds in hope that they find their next Gronk. I don't see them going for TE early. Too many other positions to fill.
  12. This story gets wackier by the day! Now reported that Banner and Lombardi were at odds and Banner wanted Lombardi gone, after it was first thought that Banner was canned becuase he was against letting Lombardi go? What a cluster. Makes our front office look like the Steelers! When all the dust clears, I think the Browns got this one right. Banner had rubbed coaching candidates the wrong way, and his influence in football decisions was starting to seep into the minds of potential coaching candidates and clouding the process. He wasn't a football guy, yet acted as one. I believe that Lombardi was hamstrung and wasn't allowed to do what he wanted to do. If he had that good a relationship with Belicheck (which obviously he does since NE is about to hire him) then McDaniels should have been an no brainer. But I bet Josh saw that Lombardi wasn't calling the shots and didn't respect Banner. So he bowed out. and I am willing to bet he wasn't the only coaching candidate to feel that way. Seems that Lombardi was also on the owners side when it came to interviewing Schiano. I think the only reason why Lombardi was gone was that Ray Farmer had the owners ear, and at the end he was probably the only person Haslem trusted. Should be interesting to see how this all plays out.
  13. Yeah, there is no shot Hackett gets fired between now and week 17. It's noteworthy those that the Bills brought in so help to expedite Hacketts growth. It's obvious they see him as an up and coming talented OC (especially with his father's bio) and I think the Bills are just trying to get him to a more successful point faster than if he was doing it on his own, as he was last year. The Bills would have to lay a royal egg next season for Hackett to get fired. I don't see that happening. However, if the Bills offense does lay an egg...all bets are off!
  14. Yeah but Delmas played in 16 games last year, starting 15. Byrd played in 11 and started 9. Delmas has started atleast 15 games in 3 of the past 5 seasons. Byrd has started atleast 14 games in 3 of the past 5. Kinda of a wash. But I will say Byrd is more of a ball hawk. That is the only area that the Bills will suffer greatly
  15. Delmas is very appealing for a few reasons. First off, Delmas' production isn't that far off from Byrds. He is 7 months younger than Byrd. He won't cost as much as Byrd. ...and the most important reason is he is a very productive veteran who already knows Jim Schwartz system. Delmas can be a QB in the backfield and help the other safeties and corners learn Schwartz's system. The fact that Byrd has issues with the Bills and how they handled his contract, and coming off of this past season he is going to be looking for as much (or more money) than he was last year. Plus, Byrd's 8 mill cap hit in 2014 to be franchised is about half of what Delmas' cap hit will be on a 4-5 year deal. This is about as close to a no-brainer as they come.
  16. Love this hire. I was thinking of his name earlier today when considering replacements for Pettine. This is best case scenario. He was a stud in Tennessee, and his Detroit teams were no sham. Especially being a specialist against the run and 3rd down efficiency, that's exactly what we need. I'm excited about this hire, as it doesn't change our theme much. We weren't really a 3-4 but more of a 4-3 anyways. GO BILLS!
  17. What if...what if...what if... What if the Bills had given up on OJ Simpson whose total yards (rushing and receiving) the first four seasons are almost identical to CJ Spillers (Spiller avg a yard more per carry)???? What if the Bills had cut Eric Moulds, whose first two seasons were less productive than TJ Grahams??? What if we would have fired Marv Levy who was 6-10 in his first 16 games as a Bills coach???? What if......what if....what frickn' if. If you are a fan that doesn't have faith in the Bills front office after one frickn season with 3 QB's, lost man games at RB, WR, and CB and learning a new system, then there are plenty of other teams you can root for. Clevelands bandwagon i"m sure has room. They are looking for a new HC,,,,right up your alley. I'm not trying to pick on the OP, cuz it's not really about his post. But I'm really tired of the negative prognosticators that think the Bills should fire their entire front office, coaching staff, and cut all of the veteran players and rookies who we are trying to grow with. I'm not saying Marrone is the ultimate answer. But it's WAYYYYYYYYY to early to tell he isn't. Same with Manuel. Instead of having no patience with players and coaches in their FIRST FRICKN' YEAR, how about we draft talented players and sign FA's to surround our players and coaches with talent so that we can do better? I think the Bills first draft last year under Russ Brandon with Marrone and Whaley was an OK one. Don'tcha think? Manuel, Kiko, Woods, and Goodwin all look promising. It's like all of the negative nellies have played the 2014 season out in their minds already and are calling for heads to roll. How about we enjoy the SPORT OF football with our FOOTBALL TEAM that we love, root for them, and have faith in the talent we have. Believe me, if the Bills are still 6-10 after the gun sounds next year we'll have plenty of time to call for everyone's heads and be negative. For now, I feel faith is in order. History has shown that patience is prudent. I'm not one to argue.
  18. I believe this statement from KW is a captain that sees things in the locker room that we don't. I also see it as he believes in Marrone and will count on Marrone to change whatever players need to be changed. It wouldn't surprise me if Dareus was part of that discussion, although not sure what you can do with him. You can't cut him and I don't think his trade value is where you want a 3rd overall pick to be. I also believe that Stevie Johnson is part of that discussion. Call me crazy, but I sense some vets in the lockerroom are tired of some of the comments he has made about his lackluster play on the field. Should be interesting.
  19. OK...so we've established that TJ Graham's board name is jboyst62. Good to know. We love ya TJ, but you don't have to jump up and use your body to catch every ball. It's OK to use your hands. As for your usage, that's debatable (see today's drop vs. Patriots). But I'll give you this.... your 54 catches for 683 yards and 3 TDs in your first two seasons exceeded the totals of another Bills 1st round draft pick through his first two seasons. Eric Moulds had 49 catches for 573 and 2 TDs. Nearly 10,000 yards, 50 TD's, and 4- 1000 yard seasons later, I think that Moulds guy turned out OK.
  20. Any statement about Fred Jackson getting cut is utterly retarded. People need to think before they write ignorant statements. Regardless of his age, he is the heart and soul of the Bills, a leader on and off the field, and had nearly 1300 total yards, averaged 4.3 yards per carry, and had double digit TD's splitting time with another running back and running behind a pathetic line at times. If you saw the TD run vs. the Patriots on Sunday it's obvious he hasn't lost his moves. It doesn't make sense to cut a player like that. If it makes sense to you, than THANK THE LORD you don't run the team!!!!
  21. Even a Browns players are ridiculing ownership about firing Chudz. “We are so dysfunctional. These billionaires need to pick somebody and stay with them. These aren’t girlfriends, you can’t dump them if they [fail to please you] one time.”
  22. Bills top priority has to be OLB, OT, and Guard. Through draft and free agency they should be able to solidify all three
