  1. Trade deadline is today (obviously). What do you think will happen with Boldin since no one seems interested? Think he might want to play for the Bills? Or will he stay retired. I am not saying I want him to play, just wondering what others think since we need a receiver.
  2. Maybe senility has finally set in?
  3. IDK what you are talking about! The Jags took Dareus's entire contract for that sixth rounder. That is a HUGE amount of money we are saving and we got the draft pick. a draft pick need i remind anyone he wasn't even worth. He barely showed up for games, was POS character guy, so yeah, I will gladly take the 6th for him.
  4. For the most part none of these games are gimmes. The only one that comes close is the Colt game but I know there is no way McD will let this team look past anyone. The Jets game will be tough. It's an away game on a short week but I think we come out with a tight victory. The Jets have been playing everyone tough, especially lately. Imho the best case scenario assuming we get the W Thursday would be...... Saints - Win: They are playing well, but Buffalo's D is playing stout and its a home game against a Dome team. Chargers - Loss: We'll be due for a L and playing a west coast game where we typically do not fare well. KC - Loss: KC is a very good team, its an away game and I think they end up with the W in a close one. Patsies - Win: Not losing at home....period Colt - Win: McD has them ready for the "trap game" Dolphins - Win: Home game and they seem to be self distructing Patsies - Loss: Brady revenge game in Boston Dolphins - Win: Again, they seem to be self destructing 11 and 5, if we lose Thursday 10 - 6. But who knows....that's why they actually play the games.
  5. Buffalo getting a lot of love right now on half time show today. Love it!
  6. Gut wrenching! I have no words. My thought and prayers are with him and his family.
  7. That's not just Facebook, it happens here all the time as well. Keyboard bravery.....one of the fastest growing social dilemmas there is. If you can't or won't say something to someones face, you shouldn't be typing it on the keyboard....at least imho. Missed that earlier in the thread. As an option i don't see an issue. I'm sore there are many who don't comment on posts just because they are to lazy to create an account. Giving FB as an option may increase membership. I know I came her for at least a few years to read articles and review forums before I registered as a member.
  8. I would prefer not. Especially since anyone with an existing account would lose all their history wouldn't they. Using Facebook to log in would create a new account would it not? Or is there a way to link your Facebook to an existing account?
  9. Milano certainly is earning some more playing time. Lorax is a bit on the small side for this but I could see him being a edge rusher on obvious passing downs rather than a LB that has to drop into coverage. He tends to draw dumb penalties at the wrong time of the game to hurt the team as well which to me is reason enough to reduce his playing time.
  10. Tate is solid as a punt returner but rarely plays as a WR. Homes has been in at WR far more than Tate. Streater has good hands and could potentially fill in as the punt or kickoff return guy and still play a fairly significant role as a WR. Personally, if anyone is going I think it will be Holmes. What concerns me is Clay's status if they are looking at Croom. Yeah, maybe he is fine and want to upgrade from Lee, but something nagging at me says Clay's injury may take longer to heal than they thought.
  11. Now i know you have been around long enough to know that what a QB's worth has nothing to do with how much he gets paid. Elite QB's are making 25 Million + a year and your so - so to pretty good QB's are making around 14 - 20 million a year. Are they worth that much, I don't think so, but they are just good enough to manage games and not screw up to big so that's what there getting paid.
  12. Thank Ice! Hopefully you guys can pull things together well during your Bye week and gets some No Rodgers friendly game plans put together. Pulling for you guys!
  13. I don't think he needs to lighten up per say. He just needs to learn to move on. That TD he "gave up" was an amazing throw and an even more amazing catch. His coverage was pretty tight. Any tighter they would have probably flagged him. I appreciate his high expectations of himself and he takes what he does seriously and with pride. They got the TD..... be po'ed for that moment but move on. He keeps it up, he'll end up getting inside his own head space and screwing himself up and playing poorly.
  14. They have been getting pressure. It's just not translating into sacks. It's one of the reasons why we have the 2nd highest rating in defense for QBR, somewhere around 66 and its why the good teams haven't been eating us alive. Its also the reason why our secondary has looked for the most part pretty good. Things didn't look all that good yesterday, especially in the second half, but by that time EJ Gaines was out again. He is the thread that holds it all together in the secondary for us. without him we are in real trouble. What is really frustrating me is during the game yesterday, there was several occasions where our best defensive players were on the sideline.....Hughes, K Williams and Dareus were together on the sideline. You want to rotate guys that's fine, but McD is going ex-stream with it and its effecting the defensive rhythm.
  15. I'm pretty sure I read that on a fortune cookie once. I was at the game. As soon as Tampa got the go ahead TD i turned to my Cuz and said "there is no way TT can be expected to get a TD to tie the game up". We both though he would go 3 and out. Glad we were wrong. There is no way you can plausibly release him at the end of the year. He eats up way to much salary cap space. If he is not traded, Which I doubt anyone wants him with his current contract; he is either on this team (for better or worse) or they restructure his contract to be more cap friendly and see how he does next year or then trade him to another team with a more friendly contract.
  16. indeed! Levy started as GM in 06.
  17. WOW! my mind never even thought of going there.....but I would have to add that to my relocation to another city. To think of someone cover up such an act is disgusting. Never watched Pen State or any college football for that matter so it made it easy for me to say I would never watch or root for them after that fiasco.
  18. I don't how many time I have heard people from Jersey get PO'ed at comments like this. I always get a laugh at how mad they get and start spewing off on how great Jersey is. My reply is "if Jersey is so great, why does the Statue of Liberty face the other way?" I do have to say that Erie is fairly close to Buffalo so I MIGHT still watch.....maybe. Not that they would actually ever get an NFL team because of thier size. But I understand what your trying to say.
  19. Relocation, and only because they would no longer be the Buffalo Bills. Other than that, nothing short of my death will stop me from watching and loving my Bills.
  20. Its not luck when you have been caught cheating on multiple occasions. Beyond that.... Happy Birthday Ralph. Love him or hate him. It makes no difference to me since I didn't know the man. I don't like or dislike a person without actually knowing them.
  21. Viewership has been going down for the past several years. I think the most recent drop off is from the whole anthem thing, but before that I think it has been a combination of the lack luster match ups and the fact that the game is on so late. Most if not all of the viewers have to get up in the morning for work. I for one do not want to go to bed at midnight or later (sometimes) when I am getting up at 5 AM for work, I have enough trouble getting enough sleep. If the games started at 7 PM i think you would get some viewers back. I have to agree with a few other posters that mentioned the commentators. Over the years there have been some really bad groups and it drove some people away. Though I do have to say I am a bit surprised by Romo as a play analyst. His voice can be a bit annoying at times but as an analyst he's been pretty good. I would like to see it go back to ABC though. I have never really been a fan of ESPN.
  22. Very unfortunate with Rodgers getting hurt. Never want to see someone go down like that (except Brady ). What sucks even more is he was my fantasy league QB. Was crushing it with him. I hope he heals up well.
  23. Not to mention none of our current TE's are very good at being "blocking TE's"
  24. I think the OP was making the point about production not team record. The fact that you make the comment that we have a better or same record just shows your football ignorance. If you watch them play you clearly know that they are not winning their games with their offense. Its the defense that is putting us in the position to win games. Last weeks game is the perfect example. TT was put in the position to be expected to pull out a win and couldn't. TT is not a good QB, he's not even a decent QB. His pocket presence is horrendous, he has no internal clock to get rid of the ball, he is nearly incapable of throwing a receiver open, rarely throws the ball to a WR unless they are wide open; routinely checking down to the RB or taking off and running, not to mention he is extremely inaccurate when throwing short to mid range passes. The only and i do mean ONLY thing TT has going for him is his escape-ability. That's it! While they are not elite numbers for each, their production as individuals out weighs the individuals production we currently have and the differentiating factor is the QB. Taking average to slightly above average WR's (Watkins) and placing them on a team with what is considered an elite or good QB and your average pedestrian WR turns into a productive WR. That is the OP's point.
